When the game is on the line, the last thing you need to worry about is bat vibration. The LXT X20 from Louisville Slugger is a high-performance stick that was designed to minimize shock without compromising pop or the signature sound you expect from a Slugger. With a -10 drop weight and lengths ranging from 30 inches to 34 inches, it's an ideal choice for anyone from developing hitters through speed-focused pros. It's packed with some of Louisville's most cutting-edge technology to offer excellent performance and durability.

Bat Benefits
This is a fully composite bat featuring Louisville's patented single-disk PBF barrel technology. It offers minimal break-in time and a maximum degree of pop right out of the wrapper. The massive sweet spot on the barrel is both forgiving and responsive. Crafted with a three-piece design, this bat uses the premium VCX vibration control system. A patented elastometric connection between the barrel and handle allows both to move freely on contact and significantly decreases vibrations. At the same time, the VCX system also increases energy transfer from bat to ball ensuring the biggest bang for your clutch hit.

Swing speed and weight are key to the LXT X20's design. With superb balance and ultra-low weight, this bat can help you turn faster and more consistently every time you're up. The premium X-Cap is made from Louisville's toughest materials and helps create the barrel's huge sweet spot. With the premium LS Pro Comfort grip, you can swing confidently knowing that you're in total control.

Warranty
This bat is covered with a one-year limited warranty against defects in manufacturing and materials. Louisville may also cover some common on-fie

Great Bat and Smooth Feel Sarah Player

Pros: I am a slapper and I have used Louisville since I started slapping. I used the 2019 Xeno and now the 2020, however the 2020 has significant more pop. The bat has a smooth feel to it when you swing making the at-bat process feel easier. It does not require much break in out of the wrapper, has lots of pop right away. I would highly recommend this bat to anyone.

Cons: A little pricey but nothing else as of right now.

Disappointed David Coach

Pros: Looks nice

Cons: Very dead out of the wrapper. The least amount of pop in the LXT series in the past few years. My daughter loves Louisville LXT's but this year's model has been an expensive mistake and disappointment. Had to change the grip as usual but haven't minded in the past because the bats have been so great but like I said, this year's model is an all around failure.

Cons: Dead out of the wrapper and continues to perform poorly after broken in. Does not even come close to comparing to all previous years models.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
