Better Than Advertised WMB Parent

Pros: Great PoP right out of the wrapper. Daughter hit about 30 balls Thursday before the weekend. We hit in a batting cage so we were not sure about the pop. Showed up for a today tournament. Played 9 games. Please understand this is not an exaggeration. She hit 600 for the weekend. 5 doubles, 6 RBI's and hit her FIRST homerun. The ball traveled at least 225'. We bought the old Blue Ghost before the new one came out just in case the new one was not as hot. Needless to say...the Blue Ghost has become the "back-up" bat...I cannot say this enough..GeT ThIs BaT!

THE best bat ever made. grace Player

Pros: This bat is AMAZING. I got it at the beginning of this fall season, and I think I’m in love with it. The pop on this bat is so smooth, and when swinging through the zone, the bat feels almost weightless. The bat has the casual marks on it so far from hitting, but no paint chipping/ scratches has happened yet. Since getting this bat, I have hit three homers this season. I’ve only played 6 games. I HIGHLY recommend splurging and getting this bat, you won’t regret it.

Cons: The bat may be too heavy for some, since the lightest they provide is a -10, but you could always just get the size lower. For example, if you’re a size 33, get the 32, so it’s a bit lighter if you don’t have a strong powerful swing, this will prevent you dipping on your swing.

Pros: Good pop, comfort, balance, appearance. My daughter loved to hit with it.

Cons: My 14 year old girl used it for 5 weeks (10 practices and 7 games), and the barrel already cracked. This bat was a replacement for the grey/blue Ghost, which cracked at 10 months.....so EASTON will not replace it. I think we may go to DeMarini….they are more durable and still have good pop, balance and comfort.

Pros: Hot. The bat is powerful and has a great pop. Easton has replaced it each time the bat has broke.

Cons: We have had to have my daughter's bat replaced three times now. It has cracked, rattled and the double barrel has separated. This past weekend at 16U Gold Nationals it did not pass the bat check and we have only had it since May 31st. Multiple girls on my daughter's team also swing the ghost and they each have had to have the bat replaced for the same reasons. I definitely think there is a defect with the materials used to create this bat.

Pros: The balance and pop on this bat is incredible. We went through the regular 150 swings rotating the bat to properly break it in. My 13 year old daughter has loved it to this point. I would say the balance is a little better than the Louisville LXT that both my daughters have used primarily.

Cons: I was hesitant to stray away from the LXT because they have been so durable and reliable. None of the bats have cracked and they just outgrew them. The Easton already has a small crack in the E on the barrel and I am extremely disappointed that I strayed away. Hopefully the replacement is easy and I don't have the same result.

Most new composite bats are going to be "game ready" but we would still recommend a slight break in period for the Easton Ghost Double Barrel -10 Fastpitch Softball Bat: FP20GH10. This should help eliminate some of the common spider-web cracking that occurs with composite bats. To break this bat in, tee work, front side toss and soft toss are excellent drills. The hitter will want to turn the barrel a 1/4 turn after a round of 10 swings or so and only needs to apply about 70% of max swing effort.
