If you're prepping for high school baseball, than this drop 5 Marucci CAT 9 Composite Baseball Bat will be an excellent choice for a 13 or 14 year old player!
Bat Benefits
This bat is a drop 5 size and will be perfect for a player that is nearing the end of their run in USSSA baseball. Marucci outfits this Cat 9 Composite with their MDX Composite Material. The MDX material has composite fibers placed in optimal patterns to allow for an ultra responsive (i.e. high performing) barrel. As well, with this bat being a two-piece bat, Marucci employs a high quality connector piece to make sure the barrel and the handle are fused together. The OLS (Outer-Locking System) Connection Piece will allow this two-piece bat to be extra stiff at contact with a baseball (while also limiting vibration from getting to a player's hands). That stiff feel is rare to find on a two-piece bat and it alows the batter to feel as though all their power gets put into the baseball at contact!
Lastly, be sure to note that the bat will be a little end-loaded in its feel. However, Marucci and JustBats think that nearly any hitter (contact hitter or power hitter) can get this bat and achieve excellent results!
Warranty
Marucci is always trying to create loyal customers! Because of that, they do offer a twelve (12) month warranty on this bat!
