Pros: Bat looks nice and feels nice in balance and grip
Cons: Worst vibration even after significant break in period. We will not buy Easton again. Try Louisville Slugger Prime or DeMarini zen if you can spend a little more. Those bats have serious pop for USA bats and no vibration. I’d like my money back on this Easton purchase.
Do Not Waste Your $’s Toby Thunberg Parent
Pros: For parents on a budget, pricing is low for an Easton product
Cons: Limited pop after 20 games into the season. Already threw in garbage and sticking with prior year’s Louisville Slugger.
Perfect Big Tuna Coach
Pros: Skeptical that it could deliver any noticeable returns for the price tag even considering the insane discounts in this site. First thing you’ll notice is your kid stop making faces when hands sting or vibrate. Also notice bat speed and control, bat is well balanced and light. You’ll also notice ball jump off bat and at least in my kid confidence really improved. I’m old school in saying the bat doesn’t matter and this bat changed my ways...I got to try out a bat I could never afford due to this awesome site. BIG Up to justbats.com!
Cons: Others may envy
Ok pop kid Player
Pros: great grip
Cons: pop not great
Great used bat Rick Parent
Pros: Reasonable pricing

Great price,Good Bat! Patrick Loy Coach
Pros: Well balanced with good pop. Competes with any of the other bats that I’ve witnessed.
Cons: Little vibration on awkward hits, but not bad.
Ghost x hyperlite Jensen Player
Pros: The bat feels balenced when I swing it but the barrel is new to me the feel of the bat itself is good and I'm going to like this bat for sure
Cons: I feel that this bat is little different from my mako torq but it's pop is not very great but other than that it's s good bat
Great bat! Steven Parent

Cons: Nothing bad about this bat!

Stay away Bill Coach
Pros: Looks good
Cons: Bat is horrible. No pop, and they break very easy. My 12 yr old son cracked 3 bats last year.

Pros: NONE
Cons: DONT THIS THIS THE BAT IS LIKE HITTING WITH A STICK
no pro's all con's ribz player
Pros: i think they will give your money back
Cons: the bat is garbage anyone tells you differ probally works for them
Ghost X Vinny player
Pros: I had won this bat online and got it for free on a giveaway from Easton. I was very excited to use it. It takes a little bit to break in and pretty light. Had decent pop since it's a USA bat.
Cons: It has a lot of vibration. A few of my teammates have used my bat or have their own, and whenever we use our bat our has hurt from the stinging. Like when you first get the bat, that's when it stings the most. I wore batting gloves on both hands and had a somewhat thick wrap, but I would still feel the vibration. Also end cap can be broken when ball hit's it, but I'm pretty sure every Easton bats like that.
Terrible bat Adam parent
Pros: Looks good
Cons: No pop at all had 5 other kids try bat none of them could hit ball out of infield in air and all can smack the ball good and once in blue moon it does give you decent hit it is a slow line drive knuckle ball looking hit
Like USA bats weren't bad enough.... Kristen Smith parent
Pros: I can't think of one. It's a drop 11? The general feel was ok?
Cons: I know what the mentality behind the new USA bats is. But this bat... OMG. Bought it for my son for Christmas. He goes to use it at the start of rec ball in February and it sounds like the ball is bouncing off a log. Couldn't hit a ball out of the infield (my son is 10 and a 3 years running all-star). Kept using it hoping that maybe it hadn't been broken in just in use at our house. Eww, no better. Ended up getting an Easton S550 for like $80 and it was 20x better (one went over the fence with that bad boy). Sold this one to the local sports resale store.
Too much $$ for too little pop. Jimmy Tooch parent
Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Zero pop. Kids hands sting if they get a hold of one.
Horrible bat W Lewis player
Pros: None, zip, zilch.
Cons: No pop, ringing hands, NO POP AT ALL.
Overall poor bat David B coach
Pros: Well balanced and probably durable
Cons: When compared to other USSSA baseball bats this bat under performs. During ball contact the bat sounds like you hit it against an aluminum pole. There is no bounce, again this is understanding that most of the new standard bats also the same way and comparing apples to apples. After investing in this bat, my son moved to a wood bat as it performed better.
Not What I Expected from Easton Joanna parent
Pros: Easy to swing.
Cons: This bat has ZERO pop. A lot of vibration in the hands. Tried it out on a couple of my son's teammates as well, none of them liked the bat. Do not recommend. Switching to the DeMarini Zen - best USA bat we've found so far.
No Pop Justin Thyme parent
Pros: Looks good. Son likes the way it feels in swing.
Cons: No pop. None. The bat sounds like a wet tree limb when hitting. My son has quit using it due to severe lack of pop. The ball has no spin off of the bat, looks like knuckleball off of the bat.
Ghost X Hyperlite Review Jsmes Gilbert player
Pros: It has pop when it starts. Very lite.
Cons: Dies in a couple of monthes.
Please recall the rest of these garbage bats poor bad coach
Pros: My son likes the color
Cons: No pop at all. My son complains of stinging every time we're in the cage. Batting gloves and putting on a lizard skin grip had little effect. The 750C is a far superior for half the cost. I put the ghost x on eBay for $100 with no takers. I hope the word is getting around. Easton please recall the 30"-19oz also!
Ok bat Zachary Trohon player
Pros: has a lot of pop
Cons: Vibration hurts a little bit
Vibrating hands all season kyle parent
Pros: nothing
Cons: has been vibrating his hands all season. other players borrow and same results. probably should have been recalled like the -10 USA bats!
Great bat Matt player
Pros: Haven't strike out super loght
Cons: Nothing
good bat rob parent
Pros: my 7 year old son loves the bat good sweet spot good pop
Cons: it does sting him but not to the point where he doesn't want to use it. Hes happy with the bat
Dad of P DWR coach
Pros: It looks nice.
Cons: I have two boys. I have purchased at least 10 Easton bats over the past 7 years - all of them the top of the line. This bat without question has the least pop and the most vibration of any we have ever purchased. My 12 year old has the 31/21 and unless you hit it absolutely perfect the ball just dies. Other team members who have hit bombs in the past are getting the same result with this bat.
horrible will player
Pros: hasnt broken yet
Cons: worst bat ive ever bought. normally love easton but this is a bad product. gonna try for a refund
Marc
Pros: none
Cons: This bat is prone to severe bat vibration. My 10 year old son broke his thumb from the hyperlite bat vibration. I would not recommend this bat.
Bat vibration caused a broken finger Marc parent
Pros: none
Cons: This bat is prone to bat vibration when striking the baseball. My son broke his thumb via bat vibration. I do not recommend this bat.
Worst bat I've ever bought my son. Travel & Little League Coach/Parent coach
Pros: ZERO.
Cons: Vibrates so bad that it has bruised my sons hands. ZERO pop in it. My son has started to refuse to use it, because it hurts his hands so bad. I've had other kids try using it and get the same complaints from them. Do not buy. Save your money.
Great Bat! Jesse player
Pros: This is a great bat! The break in period is short, the vibration is decent, and the pop is decent as well. The big barell maximizies the sweet spot. Great job Easton!
Cons: You'll probably wanna buy your own bar grip for this one, as Easton bat grips are not great
run away baseball dad coach
Pros: its a bat
Cons: its bad, crazy vibration, my kids are scared to swing now, zero pop, expensive, stock grip is way too thin, we have a thousand hits and same performance, there is no "break in" period, just a bad bat. Learn from my expensive mistake
Mike
Pros: Balanced swing, weight, huge sweet spot. Once broken in the hand sting is gone. You really need to get through the break in to appreciate this bat.
Cons: Break in time - took 150 good hits off a tee, rotating the bat 1/4 turn each time to break it in. Hand sting is gone and sweet spot is huge. Good pop for a USA Standard bat but nowhere close to last years models.
Very Disappointed John parent
Pros: My son liked this bat a lot when he swung it in the store and it was more affordable then the other Ghost 2 piece bat.
Cons: The sting is so bad. batting gloves do not help. No pop what so ever. The ball goes no where. When my son used another bat the ball goes 10x further. I have seen much cheaper bats out perform this bat 10 times over. Been breaking it in since winter clinics and it still stinks middle of the season. I want my money back.
Do not buy! Ryan coach
Pros: The only good thing i can say about this bat. Is that looks good and thats about it.
Cons: Zero pop even for a USA bat. Zero feedback when hitting! Vibration and sting worse than swinging a wood bat. you littlery could go to Walmart and buy the cheapest USA bat you could find and it would out perform this bat. Easton you screwed the pooch on this one and in return are duping people into making people pay almost $300 for a garbage product.
Got ripped off Jeff Doutt coach
Pros: There is noting positive about this bat.
Cons: A wooden bat has more pot then this bat.Our video proved that. It ruined baseball.
Save your $ Travel Coach coach
Pros: Initially, the name
Cons: Hand Sting, No pop - Coach both LL and travel baseball and purchased 2 of these bats for both kids. Not happy with the decision. Kids constantly shake hands from 'Bat Sting' and not much pop. I understand the USA bat standards, however this bat is inferior to others. They now sit in my son's bags while they use other bats. The worst part is when I attempted to contact Easton they were not much help and very unresponsive.
Junk CTP coach
Pros: None
Cons: No Pop and sounds dead
Hyperlite -11 Mark coach
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Three different kids on my team bought it and each dislikes it. They complain of constant hand ringing. We tried adding lizard skin and buying padded batting gloves. I would avoid this one piece design. Time to look for a new bat.
Do not waste your money Gary coach
Pros: None
Cons: Bat rattle, hand stingers, Easton costumer service. Buy this bat and miss 3 weeks of you kid swinging it while Easton try's to replace it with an equally bad bat. Get you replacement bat and then see if you sports store will take it in on some sort of trade.
Dixie 8 yr old Pitching Machine Parent parent
Pros: My son gets alot of pop with this bat over others he has tried.
Cons: Grip is VERY thin and was replaced immediately. Lots of vibration and stinging hands even with knob and good batting gloves.
overall excellent bat 4.5/5 retroclemson parent
Pros: My son is only 7, so we needed the lightest bat we could find. This is the lightest weight USA composite this year, believe me we tried them all. All alloy USA bats are at least 2 oz over swing weight, some 2.5. (USA 5150 27/16 weighs 18.6, DEMARINI VOODOO 28/18=20.4). Most all of the USA composite bats are 1.5-2 oz over listed weight. However this bat is only 1.2 oz over listed weight. 28/17 weighed exactly 18.2 oz) compared to pre USA composite bats which had longer breakin period, this bat is more ready to go. I do recommend changing to a lizard skin on all 1 piece bats for kids 8u.
Cons: Balanced bat with minimal end weight results in heavier rattle when hit off end of the bat.
Would NOT recommend!!! Coach coach
Pros: light weight and durable
Cons: There is absolutely NO pop off this bat!!! We have three different baseball teams between city league and travel ball and this is by far the worst investment of all equipment we have ever purchased. There are numerous USA bats throughout all our teams and would hands down recommend the Beast (2pc) or even the simple, aluminum, Rawlings Prodigy. Do NOT waste your money!!!
worse bat i've ever used River Moya player
Pros: it looks good
Cons: out of 100 pitches i couldn't get a solid hit. My hands sting every time I hit the ball. Every time I did hit the ball it was a little blooper, and it didn't even leave the infield. Overall IT"S WASTE OF MONEY!
Small Sweet Spot / lots of vibration David coach
Pros: good feel in the hands. balanced
Cons: will vibrate your socks off if you dont hit the sweet spot. kids are scared to hit with it because lf the vibration. sounds terrible.
Terrible Keli parent
Pros: looks nice. light weight
Cons: kills my sons hands, every hit. It's got him to where he don't even want to swing hard because it just kills his hands. We've switched to lizard skin, bought better batting gloves and purchased the rubber that you put at end of bat to help absorb some of the shock. This bat was way to much money for him not to use it. I'm calling Easton to try find a resolution. He has been using his friends $89 Rawlings bat and it has great pop and there is little to no vibration. VERY disappointed in this bat. Three other kids on his team have all experienced the same thing.
easton ghost x hyperlite jonathan parent
Pros: evenly balanced
Cons: not as much pop as other usa bats, sounds dead when hit, and if you do not hit in 4 in sweet spot will vibrate and sting kids hands.
Sting JS81WP parent
Pros: Good pop, Huge Sweet spot
Cons: Bat Sting. If you don't hit it on the sweet spot you will know.
COMFORTABLE SWING is the key Yogi parent
Pros: Gone are the days of buying a hot bat and making your kid look like an all-star. On par with all other USA bats in terms of distance. My son is on the smaller side so I needed a bat he is comfortable swinging and this is it. Yeah it had some stingers on mishits but so did the other USA bats I've bought. I put a knobcuff on and it seems to have fixed the vibration issue when hitting off the end or handle.
Cons: $$$ for a made in china bat with a terrible grip, but if you need the lightest bat on the market without giving up barrel size this is your bat.
Rhino2000
Pros:
Cons: Stings worse than any bat I have ever been around. Makes kids not even want to hit. Easton really missed the mark with this one.
big mac
Pros: lightweight nice feel
Cons: miss hits will kill your hand worst vibration ever also sounds dead my son strong hitter and had a lot of little chip shots with it my son won't use it after we bought it and went with 718 select slugger haven't used it yet hopefully it with not hurt his hand
No sting lawm parent
Pros: My 11 year old was hitting great with this bat right out of the wrapper. No complaints of stinging or vibration. He likes the way it feels and is looking forward to breaking the bat in and hopefully getting a bit more pop.
Cons: Less pop then last years Mako.
great bat! mmom parent
Pros: My son hit great with this bat his first time in the cage. No complaints of sting or vibration. He was crushing the ball.
Cons: a little less pop than his mako.
not for people who pull off the plate will powell player
Pros: if you hit it off the barrel it feels good.
Cons: it stings so incredibly much if you hit if off the end of the bat even with batting gloves that take away the sting.
Feels great! mlaw parent
Pros: My son was hitting really well with this bat first time in the cage. He was hitting harder than some kids twice his size. He said no vibration/ stinging and that this bat felt great overall.
Cons: My son still prefers his Easton Mako Beast.
9 year old stung hands. coach parent
Pros: nice feel
Cons: stings kids hands. three different bat grips. then returned it.
you guys are funny... DHO coach
Pros: if your kid can hit, this bat doesnt change that
Cons: if your kid cant hit, this bat doesnt change that
So far so good... Nate coach
Pros: He likes the bat a lot, he's getting use to the 29/18 I went a little bigger in weight so he can use it a few years(he just turned 9). We've had 4-5 hitting sessions with it indoors and he's had little to no sting at all. Obviously not the same pop as his Combat but I think the difference is minimal.
Cons: I think the true test of this bat will come much later.
Daddycoach
Pros: Good feel, big barrel, lots of contact, lite. Good line drive bat. Be patient with break in period- read below how to quicken that process.
Cons: Very long break in period. After several sessions with my ten year old I thought bat was broken in. I was wrong. I than compared to LS Solo 618 and was very disappointed with ghost x. To be fair to Easton I wanted to make sure bat was broken in. I took it myself and hit over 100 baseballs hard off tee into net. It loosened bat substantially. He likes much more now wants to continue using it and has similar results to LS solo. Maybe slightly more distance at this time still with LS, but less misses and foul tips with larger barrel. Still a tough go in cooler weather, and $100 more than other -11 USA bats with similar results. Also, still sounds like hitting baseball with a guitar, but solid hits.
new review after long break in period daddycoach parent
Pros: lots of contact, great feel, pop will inrease, vibration diminishes after long break in period. good line drive bat. the funny sound still there. sounds like hitting baseball with a guitar. but much better results now that its breaking in. Read below how to break in.
Cons: Price. Very long break in period. Not great in cool weather. I wrote a very critical review of this bat after after several sessions of what I thought was a good break in perod. I compared it to LS Solo 618. I was very dissapointed with the ghost x hyperlite. No pop and lots of stings. To be fair to easton and its product after several sessions with my ten year old I thought bat was broken in. I was wrong. I took it myself and hit over 100 baseballs off tee into net hard with 1/4 turn every time. it loosened bat up substantially. Son likes bat much more now. gets good contact with big barrel. Less stings but weather has been warmer. still has slightly less distance than LS Solo -11. But LS is a little heavier, and ghost x seems to be getting better. Slightly less misses and foul tips with ghost x bcz large barrel. changed my review and keeping bat in use for now.
Excessive bat rattle steve lewis parent
Pros: easy to swing
Cons: Made my son cry the bat rattled so bad and he is not a whiny baby
Lightest USA Bat Steve parent
Pros: Went to a demo and tried all bats from all brands. If you have a younger kid looking for a lighter bat, this is the one!
Cons: Performance is obviously lower on all the USA Bats from years past.
Thanks Snowflakes Weston's Dad parent
Pros: My son hit it pretty well. He did complain about sting so, I left the factory wrap on and put a lizzard wrap over it and added a power pad...not a single sting after that, through several buckets of balls.
Cons: If youre looking for anything like the performance from bats of years past, temper your expectations because you will be dissappointed, regardless of what bat you choose.
7u Select smoking em Johnny 5 parent
Pros: Great pop. Son chokes up an inch but loves the bat overall
Cons: None yet as we have only used it at pir practice facility
My son's bat. Dad parent
Pros: He say's it has a great feel to it when he swing's it. Almost no sting on good and bad hit's. It's well balanced (he has 1 new S750 it's a little bit more end weighted tho). More hit's. Bigger sweet spot. Perfect fit for my son.
Cons: Break in, not sure what that will be at. Should have a better handle wrap and a bat cover for the price you pay. A bit expensive for a kid's bat. (Still the best bat I could get him tho) Don't forget to order the bat cover to protect your investment. Gave this bat 2 star for durability cause we just got it but Easton makes good bats so I imagine it could be a 5 star if it last 2 seasons (From what I've read composite bats don't last more than 2yrs. on avg. besides he's going to out grow it in less than that time anyway)
Great bat Joe parent
Pros: Nice feel. Sounds similar to wood just a little duller. Like the new standard. Should be much safer and more realistic to wood. Nice balance. Vibration not an issue.
Cons: Changed the grip to Lizard Skin. Aprox. 10 yard shorter difference from last years Beast.
All good JB baseball parent
Pros: My son is 10. He told me that he barely feels any vibration.
Cons: To new to have any yet.

He seems to suffer most when hitting at the end of the barrel. It seems that this bat is not designed well for the price since my son has always hit well without sting in the past. Any thoughts? Should we wait out the cool weather? Shakes
I have twins that just turned 8. They each weigh about 52LBS. I had bought an Easton S450 27" with 2 1/4" barrel. However, there is absolutely no pop with that bat and it has a lot of vibration. I have noticed that the 2 5/8" barrel bats seem to have more pop. Would you recommend this bat in 27" length for my twins? MM
