Axe Handle Scientifically Proven Benefits
Better Bat Control - High-speed video reveals a "hammering" motion from the traditional round knob. The Axe handle stabilizes the grip, increasing barrel control.
More Power & Bat Speed - Range of motion is increased and tension is reduced in the hands, resulting in greater power transfer and more bat speed.
Enhanced Comfort - The Axe handle is ergonomically designed to fit naturally in the contour of your hand.
Reduces Injuries - Traditional handles put tremendous pressure on a single point of the hand, which contains the commonly broken Hamate bone. The flush backside of the AXE handle relieves this pressure.

Pros: Great Pop, all the kids on the team love the big barrel and the new end cap. New end cap also helps make the bat more balanced.
Cons: Nothing so far
I'm a Believer Ryan Lang parent
Pros: I bought this bat for my son. His first ax bat. Took it to his first tournament last weekend, and he only got out once ALL weekend. The bat sounds great and has the massive big barrel. We weren't sure what to think at first, but the performance speaks for itself. It seems to have good pop as he hit two balls off the fence which hasn't happened in a while. Definitely worth the $150.
Cons: None so far.
Dented on First Day and Terrible Customer Service LCP parent
Pros: My son liked the way it felt before it broke.
Cons: My son is 10 years old and dented the bat on the first day in the cage. we contacted the warranty deparyment of Baden for a replacement and, while it was replaced, they chose the slowest shipping method possible for both ways. Procees took more than 2 weeks and 2 missed tournaments using an old bat.
Son Loves It! Garrett B parent
Pros: Ball jumps off the bat Feels Great My son is 11 and hits the ball hard with The Axe!
Cons: Nothing yet
10U son LOVES this bat Jeffrey Hofstetter parent
Pros: My 10U boy is on an Elite travel team and he loved how my Axe fungo handle felt. So I was a little reluctant to buy a bat with a unique handle like AXE combined with my concern that the ball consistently only strikes one side of the bat. But my boy has been using it for about a month now and he LOVES it. He does seem to be hitting farther then before (but he is 6 months older than Fall ball. I'd really recommend the bat... the handle is awesome in the hand.
Cons: None other than it's "different".
Great Bat! Coach Tim coach
Pros: My son loves the feel of the axe grip! It has made his swing more smooth and powerful!
Cons: none
huge swinging 10 year olds Dad of the greatest little leaguer ever parent
Pros: my son is 11 and has good power and has taken 1000's of swings, but he's never dented or broke a bat, I'm shocked at all the 9 and 10 year old Mark McGwires I read on these reviews that bust all these bats, must be some serous beasts out there, anyhoo, best senior league baseball bat of all time, will not listen to anyone else. i wasted $400 on a Combat maxum and i got this as his cold weather bat, now it is all he uses. Not going to tell a bunch of fish stories, trust me, it is the best. I will buy him and his 4 year old little brother nothing but Axe bats from now on.
Cons: zero
It's Early but Works Well Justin (Parent/Coach) parent
Pros: The Axe bat does create more bat speed & control. Can't say he's become a homerun hitter but is pulling the ball more and hits are more solid. He likes the handle and adjusted to it quickly.
Cons: None at this time.

About the Brand
Launched by Baden Sports in 2011, the Axe line of bats was hailed as a breakthrough in bat technology by players and coaches from youth leagues to the Pros. The makers of the Axe line of bats often pose the question, "What does your traditional knob do for you?" Most players don't have a good answer. Axe engineers have created a handle that is not only more comfortable and safer in terms of hand injuries, but also helps improve the hitter's swing by keeping them on an even plane. Although Axe is new to the market, they are backed by Baden Sports, Inc., an independent, family-owned company that has been making baseball products since 1979. Their passion to create a better game is unparalleled, making it no surprise that the Axe handle is set to be baseball's next big thing.
