Pros: My son has used the 29/18 618 USA Solo for over 100+ games and countless BP sessions. The 619 is hotter right out of the wrapper then his well broken in 618 Solo. I was doing fielding practice with him and normally have to hit the ball fairly hard to simulate what he will see in the game. First few hits were rockets coming off the barrel and very very close to his 1.15 618 2-3/4" Solo. We hit his 618 USA back to back with the 619 USA definitely has more exit speed and gained some distance. Actually was out hitting his 1.15 USSSA Solo -10. 29/18 true weight is 19.2oz on the scale. 619 seems better balanced then the 618 and no doubt has a higher exit velocity.
Cons: I changed the grip back to a lizard skin and removed the rubber flaired knob. My son doesnt care for the squishy feel of the taper after a few games. Removing the grip was alot easier then the Lizardskins which leaves that glue tape behind. Stock grip comes off clean.
Pros: true to weight, ours on the postal scale was 17.1 oz for a 28 -11, amazing swing weight,
Cons: my kid didn't want to swing it hard as the sting was crazy on the hands, small sweet spot, just sold it on ebay as he hated it, one week old, btw the ghost x was dead, the beast x was his favorite bat but a 28-10 is over 20oz, I hate the usa bats, I use them in practice to hit grounders and cant understand the high ratings
Pros: Great feeling Bat my son is killing the ball off the bat
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Nice looking bat pretty true to weight. Grip is decent.
Cons: As with all USA bats, it really is hard to get used to the lack of pop. My son swings his wood bat as an alternative and the ball goes much further with that. You might as well invest in a couple nice maple wood bats. You can buy 2 or 3 for the price of a new USA bat and if your child can swing they will hit further. Or better yet, just play Club Ball until these organizations come to their senses and realize the game is horrible with these bats.
Pros: Light swing weight, good pop (for a USA bat).
Cons: Mishits can sting the hands, but no more than any other single piece.
Pros: My son loves the light weight feel and said it feels like he’s swinging with nothing it’s so light.
Cons: Don’t know yet...
Pros: Bought this bat for my son who is about 48” tall. We bought a 28” and he is loving it! He hits it into the outfield consistently and says it feels much easier to swing. He likes it better than the hyper lite and hits it further. He already has 3 home runs this year.
Cons: He does complain of the vibration sometimes.
Pros: Bat feels nice with good balance.
Cons: Very little pop
Pros: Solid one piece aluminum bat Good trampoline pop off bat Bat sounds great Rapidly becoming a team favorite
Cons: None
Pros: Very balanced with a large sweet spot
Cons: Normal pop for USA bat
Pros: Very good
Cons: None
Pros: Noticed a big difference on my son hitting. He only 11 and has a nice swing and feel for the bat. He been getting triple and double with this bat. I’m waiting on the home run next. Lol
Cons: It’s worth every penny.
Pros: Son loves the bat. Seems to make more solid contact and hits the ball further. Likes how balanced the bat is and easy to swing.
Cons: As with all USA bats if you don't hit it right on the sweet spot it can sting
Pros: If you not ok with a drop ten and want something to get you through the season this could be a selection
Cons: It has now pop and stings
Pros: Is a good bat has lost off pop
Cons: I feel the vibration all the way down the bat on every hit that it the worst thing about this bat
Pros: -Im 14 currently, and play on a state winning travel team. I used this bat a season ago, and hit .643 with it with ZERO problems.
Cons: -None
Pros: Good pop out of wrapper
Cons: Usa standard
Pros: just a good bat i hit 10 homeruns with this bat
Cons: hurts when you get jammed
Pros: My Kid loves the bat and he hits bombs when he hits the sweet spot and there is no spot that hertz his hands.
Cons: there is vary little vibration.
Pros: No USA bat is ever gonna really wow you. With that said you can certainly do worse than the Solo. Decent grip and sized handle, ok on mishits feel it on your hands more towards the end of the bat, middle of the road sweet spot but excellent swing weight.
Cons: You do get some vibrations but you will with any 1 piece. That's the trade off for durability.
Pros: Pop is awesome! Best USA bat!
Cons: None
Pros: Lightweight and balanced
Cons: None so far
Pros: Not really any. Not an good bat.
Cons: Dead bat. Feels like mini rocks and sand rolling around inside the bat.
Pros: Hit and felt good right out of the box
Cons: None
Pros: Has plenty of pop and has the nice sound your kids like for there confidence that composite bats just don't have.
Cons: Does feel a little on the heavy side for a -11.
Pros: There’s no vibration. It is very durable.
Cons: Is little big for me.
Pros: Good swing weight ratio.
Cons: My son didn’t swing the bat hard at all because it hurt his hands. Used it for a week and it caused a cysts on his wrists from trauma on vibration. Let this be a warning before reading others feedback who just like the swing weight ratio.
Pros: Ayo this is by far the best bat in louiseville.
Cons: Ayo
Pros: Tremendous value. Bat performs great.
Cons: Needed to switch the grip for LizardSkin 1.8, no more stingers.
Pros: This is a super good bat and I've been hitting alot of dingers with it .
Cons: The only bad thing about this bat is that the end cap is kinda coming off
Pros: Good pop
Cons: Switched grip to lizard skin 1.8mm no vibration issues
Pros: Weight, Feel, pop.
Cons: nothing yet
Pros: Value for money Durability Great feel and control
Cons: None really given the price.
Pros: Light Swing Weight, Good Balance, Great Bat, Lasted Long Time, Good Pop
Cons: Has a small barrel profile, so the sweet spot can be hard to hit, causing ground-outs and pop flies. Otherwise it was an amazing bat.
Pros: Great feel, constructed well, blast cap.
Cons: Some vibration, not horrible.
Pros: Great pop for USA bat, nice sweet spot, kids love the feel and balance. Son has been hitting LS Solo since 10 yo.
Cons: Light weight (high drop) may sacrifice distance for stronger players than a lower drop.
Pros: Good feel and swing weight. Switched to 1.8mm Lizard skin grip and no complaints on vibration. Bat is durable but seems to lack pop compared to Omaha used last season. Over all decent bat but wish I went with Marucci Cat.
Cons: Seems to lack pop compared to drop 10 LS Omaha bat
Pros: Great bat. My son loves it. Had good pop out of the box. perfect for him
Cons: no cons
Pros: Contact is good for young players that struggle with striking out. But for kids that struggle throwing accurately to bases it may be what you need to carry games.
Cons: The pop is average. Easton speed has better pop than this but it’s expected with a -11 drop.
Pros: Easy swing Nice pop
Cons: None yet. Only had it for a month in cages and practice
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. Good feel not a hard adjustment from a 29” -10 to the 31” -11. Squishy knob is ok says my kid.
Cons: Vibration is significant, more than his Omaha.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
