This version of the Axe Avenge Pro is looking to add some excitement to a bat that has already proved itself as a serious contender in the USSSA Baseball Bat space. With this edition, Axe has outfitted the two-piece & all-composite bat with a new Charged Carbon Max Composite Material. Axe will also be unveiling their newest rendition of their Blastwall Barrel and they are calling it the "Shieldboost". Axe's Blastwall Barrels have become integral parts of their bats as they allow for the bat to be hit on the one side intended for hitting while maintaining durability and performance.
Another new detail to this Avenge Pro -5 USSSA is its redesigned Flared Handle that Axe has introduced for 2023. Some serious R&D went into the design of this handle as the brand analyzed player feedback and the biomechanical data of numerous prototypes. This painstaking process led to a less oval shape and reduced bottom angle when compared to Axe’s standard handle. Ultimately, the Flared Handle will allow players much more freedom as they grip the Axe Avenge Pro!
This drop 5 model will have the largest 2 5/8" barrel diameter allowed by USSSA baseball and it will also be pretty barrel heavy. A drop 5 bat with these characteristics will be great for a 13 or 14-year-old power hitter that is wanting a top-end bat!
