Choosing the Right BBCOR Baseball Bat - JustBats.com Buying Guide

A helpful guide on finding the right BBCOR bat for you.

Transcript

In order to maximize your performance at the plate, you’ll want an adult BBCOR bat that’s perfect for you, and one of the first things you’ll have to consider is length. Generally speaking, most adult BBCOR bats range from 31- 34 inches, though there are a few 29 and 35 inch bats available. If you’re not sure what length is best for you, check out this bat sizing chart! (snaps)(poof) Alright, there it is! So this chart is super easy to use. All you have to do is match your height and weight to figure out the length that’s suggested for you. Remember, the chart is just a guideline. If you need further assistance, please don’t hesitate ... to contact us - Our friendly customer rep team is available 24/7 to help you out! In terms of weight, all BBCOR bats feature a minus 3 length to weight ratio. I’ll repeat that again - ALL BBCOR bats feature a minus 3 length to weight ratio no matter the length of the bat. I know some of you may be wondering, what the heck is length to weight ratio? Well, if you take the weight of the bat minus its length, you’ll come up with a negative number that’s called the drop or length to weight ratio. Still confused? Here’s an example - If you wanted to find the length to weight ratio of this bat, all you have to do is take its length, 34 inches, and subtract it from its weight, 31 ounces - and you’re answer is a -3 length to weight ratio - easy, right? Now that we’ve covered that, I only have one more thing to point out. If you want to get the most out of your swing, you’ll want to select a bat that’s right for your size and strength, so select one you can control, trust me, you’ll be more consistent at the plate and you’ll be able to produce faster swing speeds, which in the end, gives your swing more power. With that being said, if you’re strong enough to swing a longer, heavier bat just as quick as a shorter, lighter bat, do - the batted-ball speed will be much more powerful off the barrel. So that about covers it - like I said before, if you need additional help, I highly recommend contacting us or checking out our user-friendly Bat Coach. It’ll guide you through a short series of questions, and based on your answers, it’ll select the bats that are best for you. Or if you’re ready to shuffle through some adult BBCOR bats, check out JustBats.com. We have the largest selection and the best customer service on the web.
