Very good alloy / colder weather bat BadRock Parent

Pros: Purchased for U11 son to practice/play during colder months/weather and for auto batting cages with crap/hard balls to save his composite bat. Great durability because of the alloy construction and has great feel and balance. My son really likes it as his substitute.

Cons: Pop is decent, between 3 and 4, but it gets the extra push because of the really reasonable price and ability to use during the colder months. Doesn't have the pop of a composite bat though.

broke in half after four days Matt Coach

Pros: Marked down to $60, I had to give it a try. Got the 29.5 inch USSSA -10 bat for my 10 year old son. Felt good and had decent pop.

Cons: DURABILITY. Got it Friday, batting practice with game balls on Saturday, broke during a game on Monday. He hit a bomb at first at bat in game, second at bat he hit hard off the bat end down the third base line for a double and made a different sound. Asked son if it hurt his hand and was told "no". Another kid then wanted to try it. He tapped it on home plate as stepped into batters box and it broke in half. Design flaw? Manufacturing defect? Disappointing it broke so soon in 80 degree weather.

Pros: Long barrel, good size sweet spot, very light swing weight, easy to get the bat on the ball for a average strength player, looks pretty good

Cons: Not really for hitting bombs, but that's what the Hazardous is for with a stronger hitter
