Description
Step up to the plate confidently with this Louisville Slugger Prime 919 USA baseball bat. Its 3-piece design features a proprietary MicroForm barrel that delivers a satisfying pop on each hit. Patented VCX technology minimizes vibration to take the sting out of the swing, and it also allows independent movement between the handle and barrel, resulting in a natural feel. A stiff, traditional grip gives you immediate feedback during every at-bat. Improve hit efficiency with the RTX end cap that increases barrel length and also gives you a full sound that reverberates across the field. The new LS Pro Comfort grip provides tack and cushion for a comfortable grip that increases awareness for swing correction during batting practice. Great USA Bat! CHUCK Parent
Pros: Tons of Pop for a USA bat. My 12 year old....who is big for his age. (5'10 165 lbs) has hit a few that we estimate to be 260 feet. Over the fence at 205, across a 2 lane road and off the top of a building. He has tried a few different USA bats but this was his favorite.
Cons: non
great USA bat chuck Parent
Pros: Great pop. My son has hit a lot of HR's with this bat and several over 260 feet. Keep in mind he was 12 but is 5'11 and 165 lbs.
Cons: None.
Really good, for USA standard Tom Parent
Pros: Pop and durability at top of USA standard Way less hand vibration than aluminum
Cons: Horrible sounds off bat Takes some breaking in Swings a little heavier than it is (a little top heavy)
Louisville prime 919 review Damion Player
Pros: It does not vibrate at all and you can make contact with the ball
Cons: My prime 919 broke and you can move the bottom pease
tons of pop low durability Orrin Trull Player
Pros: lots of pop beat cf zen usa bat. as far as feel on hits and mishits its amazing and when you hit a ball in the sweet spot it fly's off. compared to cf zen, Easton ghost x evolution and demarini sabotage i think it can hit farther and feels a lot stiffer.
Cons: after hitting for a few weeks there's several chips on the barrel and you can hear something rattling in the barrel. still performs well although I am concerned. the cf seems more durable. but if you like a stiff feel no vibration but want something more durable id go with the select 719 great bat only difference is the alloy barrel. looking back probably should have gotten it.
Pleased with purchase Jason Coach
Pros: 9 year old swings it well, crushes the ball. Ball exits off bat hard and fast. He switched to other bats and they sting his hands, no complaints with this bat. As a parent I'm pleased with the Justbats price and the performance of this bat. Son loves it.
Cons: He has approximately 250 hits on the bat and I found some kind of small coating chunk off the barrel about the size of a nail head. It's not effecting anything and who knows how it really happened, he's a 9 yr Old boy. I will keep an eye on it.
This Is It Daniel Coach
Pros: Doesn't get any better than this for USA. I never do reviews, but do not go and spend more than this... I coach twins that play travel and have used everything in the USSSA world. We've seen every USA bat in the last 2 years
Cons: None
LS 919 USA Ray Coach
Pros: Ball jumps off the barrel, surprisingly well for USA bat.
Cons: None as of yet
Happy Slugger Amanda Parent
Pros: Great fit, easy control
Cons: None
1 of the best USA composites Mavererik Coach
Pros: 1 out of 10 rating Grip/Handle-6 Pop-7 Vibration-8 Weight-8 The durability is the most impressive aspect of this bat. I'm sure some have had ones that break and that happens but overall it's what stands out about this bat to me.
Cons: None. Most composites in USA after the break in process your lucky to get a full season out of the bat. The Prime 200 solid hacks to break in and now 2 seasons going on a 3rd it's still going strong and getting even hotter.
Da Boi Da Boi Player
Pros: I hit the ball hard a lot and hit my first dinger with it
Cons: should get a better grip
Amazing Jack Player
Pros: Amazing pop all these pitchers that i go up against can’t stick me out hit 7 grand slams in the same tournament
Cons: NONE

jeff Jeff Kocur Parent
Pros: My son is using this bat, he absolutely loves it. It sounds great off the bat, he says it feels good if you hit it almost anywhere, he just loves the whole thing!

Pros: It was a great and light eight bat!
Cons: Better than expected!

Highly Recommend LS Prime 919 Coach Coach
Pros: Excellent bat which is well-balanced, nice sweet spot with great pop, and very little/no vibration issues. This was a major upgrade over the Rawlings Prodigy bat which my son outgrew.
Cons: Not sure about durability as we have only owned the bat for a few weeks.
Bad Design B Pierce Parent
Pros: None
Cons: 4 swings the bat broke.
One of the best USA bats Derrick Coach
Pros: My 11 year old has gone through a series of bats. The one that he liked the best prior to this bat was the Demarini Voodoo. The Prime definitely hits about 20 feet further on his home run balls and has a much larger sweet spot giving less mishits and just misses of barreling up. A little worried about an all composite bat in the Northwest cold, but so far in around 50 degree weather and about 1000 cuts outside still not a blemish.
Cons: Still not like the USSSA bats in pop. However, this bat is a split the difference in distance between his USA Voodoo and his USSSA bat,
Good bat Lucas Player
Pros: Easy to swing light weight ,easy to get through the zone
Cons: Bat is not good
pretty solid bat ayden Player

Should Have Bought Sooner Jonathan Evans Parent
Pros: Hot out of the wrapper. Satisfying sound, even on miss hits, foul tips wont be missed. Good weight distribution. My 8yo son was crushing line drives on all pitches, high, low, inside and out. At one point he hit 10 in a row. Never done that before. Comfortable grip and absolutely no vibration complaints in the first hundred or so hits.
Cons: I waited too long to buy it.
Best USA bat Don Coach
Pros: My son tried just about every USA bat on market. We noticed a distance improvement of 30 feet gained compared to other bats. In fact this bat was so hot ournwhole League ended up buying this bat. At least 30 feet further then any other USA bat.
Cons: I little heavy for a smaller player
It’s a great bat John Player

Cons: Their are no cons.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
