Pros: Right out of the wrapper this bat is hot and ball comes off the bat super fast. Light swing feel. Great sound off the ball. Paint scheme and lizard skin grip are awesome.

Cons: For a two piece bat there is a good bit of sting on miss hits. After 5 days there is something rattling in the barrel. I'll exchange it after the season ends.

Pros: My kid loves the feel and the pop.

Cons: Broke two bats within 1 month. The second bat only lasted 3 uses. Was still breaking in the second hitting off a tee and broke it. Such a waste and customer service is laughable. Such a bad experience getting the first one replaced. My suggestion - avoid this bat. Even the guy at the post office mentioned that he was seeing a lot of Easton bats being returned. We won't be buying Easton again.

Cons: The Ghost is junk! Cheap and not worth the money! 3 kids on our team all cracked caps after 4 games! Takes a month to get a replacement unless of course YOU pay for shipping and handling. The replacement bat is junk as well. Customer service was extremely rude and very short. I'll spend the rest of my days at the ball field sharing my experience!

Pros: Great pop and sound out of the wrapper, even hotter after break in. Very little sting on mishits. 1/2 of the 13U team loved using this bat until it broke.

Cons: Like others have experienced, the end cap developed a small crack in 3rd game then shattered into several pieces during 4th game of the season. Definitely a fragile bat, recommend that it be used only in games. White paint scheme and grip get dirty fast. Kids were bummed when it broke and wanted to have a bat funeral ceremony after the game. Would not buy this bat again due to durability issues.

Cons: This is the worst bat. I’ve had it twice and it’s broke both times. First time peice of end cap broke off. Second time was just now and it sounds like there are pebbles in it. DONT GET THIS BAT..

Cons: This bat will not last. My daughter’s first Evolution X bat lasted a month before the top broke. The replacement Evolution X lasted four months before the top of the bat broke. It’s a common problem with this bat.

Pros: My son just finished the season with this bat. 14u with an exit velocity over 75 mph and this bat has great pop. Bat got game use from a few player’s deciding between this, a Demarini Vodoo, and an Easton Maxum (all -5).

Cons: Grip is worn and don’t know how to replace that exact one. It’s awesome looking.

Pros: Bat has great weight balance (made it easier for the switch from -10 to -5), a nice sweet spot (hardly any vibration).

Cons: Durability - a little over a month (2 tourneys) & it sounds like Lego pieces are rattling around inside bat. The original bat tape is super slippery once sweat or a little moisture gets on it.

Pros: My son used this bat in a drop 8 last summer. He really like the bat. He broke the end cap about 8 months into using it. Sent bat back to Easton for warranty replacement. Easton replaced the bat with the Easton ADV 360. He has been using that bat for about five months and really likes it. He wanted to go to a drop 5 for the upcoming season. Was going to buy the ADV, but it was twice as much than the year old Ghost. Decided to take a chance on the Ghost again for the price. Easton was great on the warranty replacement.

Cons: The end cap broke on the bat, but Easton's warranty service was great.

Cons: The bat got 8 hits on it before it got a rattle or something broken inside. Never got to use it at a game or tourney. Too expensive to be broken already. Waste of money!

The biggest difference between this bat and the previous year model is the new Nitrocell foam that Easton uses in this model to help improve feel.

Does the Ghost X Evolution need to be broken in to reach full potential or is it hot out of the wrapper? damian

The Easton Ghost X Evolution -5 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL19GXE58 is a composite bat, so we do recommend breaking it in. You can do this by taking about 150 hits off a tee or soft toss, starting at 50% power and rotating the barrel 1/4'' with every hit.
