Pros: I bought this bat for $180 in April because I was unsure of how much ball would be played due to Covid. I didn’t want to spend the money on a Zen if there was no ball being played. Now I see the same bat is going for $319! Wow and the bats performance is phenomenal!

Solid Bat (Used by 9U Player) Bobby Mabe Coach

Pros: The bat simply performs well in all situations. It handles well (balanced), has as much or more pop than the previous Maxum (Canadian Model), and the handle / grip works well together. No real glitz or glam, just a solid stick, with a solid sound, that is maneuverable to the ball, that gets the job very well! I do recommend this bat to any level player, as it has raised the confidence level for my son, especially with the huge barrel it has.

Cons: The sweet spot is large, but I don’t feel it extends out to the end as far as the old Maxum did. Most hits near (not on) the end cap loses a ton of power and causes vibrations through the handle. Obviously, that’s not where you want contact with the bat to occur, but at 9U bat control is still a work in progress. Also, why a white grip? Looks great out of the wrapper, but after 1 set of BP, it’s doodoo brown! No hinderance to the product, but makes you scratch your head.

Pros: Bat has great pop right out of the wrapper. My son loves it way more than his F5, very balanced and he's hitting it further than he ever has.

Pros: This review is based off one week of use. Quite possibly the most balanced bat my son has ever had and we have had 50+ Swing weight is really light. Bat weighs 17.28 (28/17) on my scales and that’s shocking. Most are at least an 1.5 ounce over. Very pleased with this purchase. Exit speeds on are on par with Zen and Demon.

Cons: No cons so far.

I am curious about the 30/19 used version of this. What is the condition of the bat like? How was it used? Miguel Saldin

The used model that we currently have listed on the website for the COMBAT B2 ATB -11 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B211 is in "good" condition. This bat will show previous signs of use but is structurally sound. Used bats will feature a 14 day guarantee from Justbats.com but do not feature a 12 month warranty with the manufacturer. Unfortunately, we would not have any pics for a used bat or know how much it was previously used.

My son currently swings a 29/19 CAT 8 and the size and swing weight work well for him. If he were to switch to a Combat B2 would you recommend a 29/19 (-10) or 30/19 (-11) to get the extra length? Brad

If you think the extra 1" would help them at the plate (maybe if they are struggling with the outside pitch and handle the inside one fine), then it would be a good idea.

No, there is not. The bat would just have slightly thinner walls to reduce the weight by the 1 oz difference.

In our opinion, the barrel length of the COMBAT B2 ATB -11 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B211, assuming it is the same length as the -12 MAXUM model, would be very similar. In essence, we do not feel there would be a significant difference in length between the two.

My son is currently swinging the Easton Maxum -12. Is there any benefit for him to move up to the B2 -11? He used to hit with a CAT 8/9 -10 and he's gained a few mph of bat speed with the -12 for obvious reasons. He can swing the -10 at higher speeds, but he loses his plane and connection Blast scores. Would the -11 be the happy medium? Andrew P

It would be hard to say that your son will see much of an increase in distance or performance by switching to the COMBAT B2 ATB -11 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B211. It is always advisable to swing the heaviest bat that your player can handle comfortably. Go too heavy and bat speed slows down and swing mechanics become more inconsistent. Go too light, bat speed will increase but less weight/mass in the barrel means less energy to transfer into the ball. As well, bats that are too light tend to break down much quicker. Since you already have a -10 and -12 bat, there would not be a reason to also get a -11.
