The V-Grip BEAST bats feature Xtreme Weave Carbon (XWC) construction for maximum power and durability. Mattingly`s Direct Power Transfer technology keeps the handle and taper area stiff for maximum power transfer to the Powerload Composite Sweetspot barrel, which is designed for optimized flex to absorb energy and return it to the ball for maximum trampoline effect - and ignite rocket shots over the fence! Pros: This bat really lives up to its name. I absolutly loved it and u should too. i was a normal hitter with some power but this bat turned me into a star power hitter. i absolutly loved it. it hits like every bat COMbat has but it is cheaper. the v-grip really helped my swing develop too. i would recommend this bat for any budding young star who loves baseball

Cons: i recieved mine broken on the inside but it never factored into performance

Pros: Great pop! Increase swing speed. Handle is comfortable for small hands! Took a couple buckets to break in. This is my sons second Beast, tried other top brand and found it didn't transfer power as much as this. Gave him great confidence and shipment was quick and ordering easy.

Cons: Paint easily chipped on his previous one so care is needed. Bat did seem to deaden, as we compared his previous identical Beast and it lost some pop and sounds deadened.

Pros: Great bat. My 10 year old has hit two towering home runs with it in the month that we have owned it. He hits the ball hard everytime he makes contact. The ball explodes off this bat. I had been aware of the "V-Grip" concept for a few years now. Never took it seriously. We'll be using Mattingly bats for a long time to come.

Pros: Great bat, my son loves it.I coach kids on lining up their knuckles, but they always seem to go back. This is a great tool for forcing them to hit with great mechanics. My son has so much bat speed it is unreal. He is hitting gap shots between short and 3rd that are just uncatchable. Great bat!

Pros: Great bat. My sons average went rfom 243 last year to 307 this year. Lots of hard line drives.

Cons: The graphics/paint doesn't hold up too well. He has had a couple umps question the integrity of the bat, but they all agreed it was only the paint peeling

Pros: ok, i liked the bat A LOT at first as you saw my first review! but now i love it. i made the "A" team instead of "B" and i have hit a double or triple to the fence (200 ft) for 3 straight games and i am in the 10 year old division so that is an AMAZING hit/hits. but without the BEAST i would never be so good!! I LOVE THIS BAT!!

Pros: Did extensive research on a bat for my son. When it came down to it, I decided on the beast. It's a composite bat, has the V-grip, its light, shipping is free, and the warranty on it sounded legit. Long story short, my son hit bomb after bomb in practice. In his first at bat in the game, he went yard. I never though a bat would make so much difference 2 his game. This bat is for real.

Cons: None yet. I paid under $20 to get this bat "next day" service. Great price, great service, and hopefully the bat lasts the season...I'll keep everyone updated.

Pros: Light bat! Great pop! Great for youth ball players! Better bat than any I have ever had! Grip really helps, no shocks or need for shock absorber batting gloves! Great durability! Cool design! Lock and load cap leads to a trampoline effect hitting the ball farther! Aproved for all leagues! Never get another bat!!!!!!!!!!

Cons: Everybody on my travel "A" team wants to use it but I cant let them because they could get better than me and maybe get on travel "A" and I would get on travel "B"!!!!!!!! My biggest complaint is that it is toooo GOOOOD!

Pros: Great bat, huge amount of pop and large sweet spot. The v grip handle really makes a difference in your swing. I have used both b1 and b2 combats, anderson techzilla and the new Demarini cf3 black these are all great bats but the beast blows them away. I also hit my first homerun with this bat and ended up with 12 for the season. I really reccomen this great bat for all hitters.

Pros: I actually purchased the 08 model,for my son which is a great bat. I plan to purchase the 09 as he is moving up. Lots of Pop. Ball just flys off the bat. Highly recommend worth the price.

Cons: Wears on just one side and batter must have a good grip on bat as with any but especially with composite.
