Marucci is creating the rare power bat in the drop 10 size for youth players. If you have a young star who is ready to increase the distance in their hits by swinging an end-loaded bat, consider this CAT 9 Connect.
Bat Benefits
Three letters define the huge advancement made with this bat... AZR. The new AZR alloy material (located on the barrel of this bat) goes through a thermal treatment process to prep the material for hitting baseballs. From the thermal treatment process, the player will get a bat that has better feel, more forgiveness and overall better performance (when compared to past Marucci CAT Bats).
This specific bat will be a hybrid that incorporates an alloy barrel and a composite handle. Where the barrel and handle connect, Marucci is going to introduce a new connection piece. The connection piece is called the Outer-Locking System (OLS) and it creates a stiff feel when the bat connects with the ball, but eliminates nearly all the negative vibrations that can get down to your hands when you connect with a baseball.

Marucci knows that they would not be where they are at today without their fans. Because of that, they offer a twelve (12) month warranty on this bat. 10u player is currently using a 28/18 CAT 8. Would you suggest moving to a 29/19 CAT 9 Connect even though it is more end loaded or staying at 28/18 since it is a bit more end loaded than the CAT 8? John

I am really torn between the CAT 9, CAT 9 Connect, or The Goods drop 10 USSSA. My 9 year old son is about 5'3", right around 60 lbs., so on the smaller side. He is not necessarily a power hitter, but needs a good bat for the travel season coming up. I'm eyeing 28" or 29", but have seen conflicting recommendations. He currently hits a 27" Easton Beast drop 10 USSSA, so either bat will be a step up for sure. Unfortunately, he hasn't been able to try out the CAT or Goods. Would like to have him hitting a new bat next week so he has a month to get used to it before games start. Any thoughts? Kevin K

My 11 yr old, 4'11, 90 lb kid is not a big hitter and has a 29/18 Easton Maxum Combat USSSA and a Easton Beast X Evolution 29/19. We were thinking of the 30/20 Connect since it is 2 piece hybrid like the Beast and has more vibration control but from your answers it seems the Cat 9 one piece 30/20 may feel better as its more balanced/lighter PC
