Description
Marucci CAT 9 -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: MSBC910
This CAT 9 is going to be popular since drop 10 bats can be used by players from 7-12 years of age. And be sure to know that when you buy a bat from the Marucci CAT line; you're swinging a bat that has been turning heads since
Bat Benefits
With every release of a CAT bat from Marucci, they innovate the make-up of the alloy material on that latest bat. Because of that, this CAT 9 bat introduced the AZR alloy material. AZR alloy undergoes a unique, 3-step thermal treatment proces. After the process is completed, the CAT 9 bat displays an alloy material that has better feel, more forgivesness and incredible performance.
As well, Marucci understands that an uncomfortable swinging experience with a bat is detrimental to the enjoyment of playing baseball. With that knowledge, they have incoporated the AV2 anti-vibration knob to this bat. Even though the CAT 9 is a one-piece bat (and one-piece bats can sometimes be uncomfortable due to vibrations from hitting), this bat swings as smoothly and comfortably as nearly any two-piece bat out there!
Warranty
Don't worry if you get the bat and experience a durability or performance issue within twelve (12) months of the purchase date. Marucci covers this bat with a 12 month warranty. If you buy this bat from JustBats and believe something is wrong, please reach out to our Bat Experts. The Experts at JustBats will do all they can to help you send the bat to Marucci to get a replacement model.

Great bat Austin Blanco Player
Pros: This bat is amazing I’m 11 and this bat feels great it is super balanced and great I always swung a cf or meta and this feels great pop good and. I know my travel team a lot of kids have this.
Cons: It does sometimes wring you up even if you hit it good after you have the bat for a long time also on mine it looks like the end cap is gonna fall of. But that’s all I have to criticize but it is still a great bat
Great bat Mark Parent
Pros: Added length to his hits for sure First time he used it in practice it was definitely noticeable he had a new bat. His last hit this weekend was off the fence Team he guest played on had 3-4 kids using same bat, just different sizes. All liked it. He stopped using batting gloves at the plate during games.
Cons: None yet, but only 3 weeks in

Good bat but wish I bought the CAT Comp Matt Parent
Pros: Hits much better than the USA bats we have to use most of the year. Swings fairly easy for my 2 9U kids Not a lot of vibration JB did a sweet matching Lizard skin grip!
Cons: Price is a bit high but this year everything was expensive so maybe it's average. Hand sting if not in the sweet spot but minimal especially with the Lizard skin
I love this bat Tom Player
Pros: I’m nine years old and I think it’s the best bat in the world it has a bunch of pop in the bat the grip is soft and the bat feels good in your hands when you swing the bat. And I hit absolute moonshots with it.
Cons: Nothing
Great bat Jonathan Coach
Pros: Light weight and tons of pop
Cons: None so far
Another Home Run by Marucci! Shayne Ruettgers Parent
Pros: Lots of pop, big sweet spot and great feel. It was a quick pickup bat for my 11u son when his CF -10 broke before a tournament. Lots of kids on his travel team use the Cat 9 and 8 on his team and seem to be very reliable while waiting on a warranty claim from DeMarini.
Cons: I notice a little vibration at a couple of practices with my son. Only time will tell only had the bat for two weeks and one tournament.
Great bat! Anonymous Parent
Pros: Great well balanced bat. Has Marucci’s durability with great anti vibe for a one piece bat! Has good pop for a non composite bat
Cons: Only con is after a few tournaments the stock Marucci grip is starting to loosen. Easy fix though
Cracked Bat J Fritz Coach
Pros: Lasted 5 months!
Cons: Lasted 5 months! It cracked within 5 months of buying it!!!
Good bat Anonymous Player
Pros: Every thing
Cons: None
Pop! Ryan Hulett Coach
Pros: This bat has great pop with the expected "ping" of all the marucci cat series bats we have had when you hit that extended sweet spot.
Cons: Have not found one yet
Do your homework Ed Coach
Pros: Very nice looking bat.
Cons: I think Mariucci is getting greedy here. Is there really anything to be gained in terms of performance over a Cat 8 for the additional $50? And, for an additional $20, Cat 9 Connect which has more pop than single piece alloy. The Goods one piece will out perform this bat per Bat Digest and it's $50 less.
CAT9 Evaluation Doug Fike Coach
Pros: Player loves anti-vibration feature and pop of the bat.
Cons: None so far
Marucci 9 David Parent
Pros: Great feel, good pop, looks good
Cons: They put a logo on the bat there is a marucci sticker on one side of the bat and cat9 on the other side of the bat and they are the lettering is raised and cause the ball to not pop
A ton of pop!!! Jake Player
Pros: It has a huge sweet spot and great feel off the barrel overall this is a great bat and has great durbility
Cons: nnnnoooottttthhhhhiiiinnnggg
Good Bat as Expected JB Parent
Pros: My son plays 9U ball. He has the 29" - 19oz. He loves the bat. Even though it is the same size at his other bat he says if feels like he is swinging nothing. He definitely has more confidence at the plate with it in his hands. This his 1st CAT bat and it sure has the pop we were looking for. First 2 times at the plate were line drives to deep left field.
Cons: The grip but that is like most bats nowadays. I recommend going ahead and ordering with the lizard skin pre installed. Just an FYI my son picked the Wildfire Camo and it looks great on the bat.
lots of punch greg powell Parent
Pros: love the feel and weight distibution
Cons: not sure we have found any yet
Has serious pop and great feel. Sam Coach
Pros: This bat has serious pop and great feel.
Cons: The whole team wants to use it.
Excellent Bat Dave Coach
Pros: My son is 7 years old playing U9 select baseball. He was using a Louisville Slugger drop 12 but since he has grown its a little to light so we decided to get a new bat. We settled on the Marucci Cat 9 drop 10. What an excellent choice. Very balanced with excellent pop off the barrel. He feels very confident in the cage and at the plate swinging with this bat. Marucci has a great reputation for making durable/balanced bats. This one certainly fits that mold.
Cons: Nothing of note right now
Fave Cat 9 Riley Denisar Player
Pros: Hitting is much better!!
Cons: None
Best yet! Little league coach Coach
Pros: Balanced. Great pop. Soft on hands on mishits. My son loves the bat’s performance. Highly recommend.
Cons: Don’t love the stock grip.
Cat 9 Bryce Player
Pros: Great all around bat
Cons: None
Great Bat Andrew Kirby Coach
Pros: Has lots of pop. Will boost your kids confidence at the plate.
Cons: none yet!
Good bat. Handle broke after two weeks Brian Coach
Pros: Good balanced feel, lots of pop
Cons: Durability. Can’t break with a 12 year old swinging it for 2 weeks
Great bat Keith Parent
Pros: Ordered on Tuesday, arrived on Thursday in time for practice. Bat has a lot of pop. The other players on the team all want to use it.
Cons: We’ve only had the bat for 2 weeks, haven’t seen anything negative.
Amazing pop for 10u age Chip Coach
Pros: I manage a 10u team and bought this bat for my son. His 3rd in game at bat he connected. Pop was well beyond expectations for his size and weight. Bat has amazing balance as well.
Cons: Durability will be interesting. But 12 month warranty from manufacturer seems good.
Cat 9 vs. Cat 8 UDF Milk Shakes! Parent
Pros: My son used the Cat 8 29" for the past year in 11U. He needed a longer size 30", so we purchased the Cat 9 for Fall ball 12U. Based on his comments and my observations please see the following: - same sound as Cat 8. - more pop! No really! The Bat is fire! - anti vibration knob has changed. He says it feals better than the Cat 8 for vibration. - end cap has changed.
Cons: None so far, but will wait to see if this bat dents over time as did the Cat 8.
Beautiful Easton Player
Pros: I swung my friends cat 9 for one tournament, it was the best bat I have ever held
Cons: The grip is not the best but besides that it is good
Review Brandon Werner Player
Pros: Everything
Cons: None
Great bat Tim Collins Coach
Pros: Great feel
Cons: Need to improve the grip have all ready changed it out after two games. My son just prefers the better grips that are sold.
So far so good Bill Fulton Parent
Pros: My son is playing 10u. 4’11 85lbs. Bought this bat the first day it was released. We bought a 29’ bat. Looks great, has plenty of pop. My son said “ it feels lighter than the Cat 8”. Not sure about the durability yet we’ve only had the bat for three weeks. So far so good. Hope this helps.
Cons: None as of yet.
Ready to sell already Vernon Stephens Coach
Pros: Looks cool
Cons: No pop
Beautiful, And a ton of POP! Keith M Coach
Pros: I got this bat for my 8 year old who is playing his second year of 9U travel. He started using a teammates Cat8 halfway through last season bc it had more pop than his more expensive bat. We now have 5 or 6 Cat8s on our team so when the Cat9 came out I bought it for him the first day it was released. From the first swing it sings, but it also just gives him so much more confidence for some reason.
Cons: Between him not wanting to swing anything else in batting practice, to the other kids wanting to use it, I’m wondering how well it’s gonna hold up..

My son is an 11 year old, 5’1" and 113 pound, first basemen. Parents all the time come up to me and describe my kid as the second coming of Mickey Mantle. Although this is far stretched, he is no doubt a potential D1 power hitter. He has been asked by 11 different 12u teams to play for them. Although we appreciate the offers, he has been asked by 13u canes nationals to play as a potential right field prospect. This will be good for my son to pickup some D1 offers and even catch the eyes of some MLB teams that need a power hitting first basemen. He has already received several D1 camp invites. What’s the difference between the CAT8 & CAT9 USSSA bat? Jon Wood
MSBC910 vs MJBBC9 (coach pitch) - they both come in 27 inch -10 drop, is one better than the other if price was no object? My son hits well with the coach pitch one, so not sure if the non-coach pitch one will perform just as good (or better). Can we assume the non-coach pitch one will have a better build quality because it can take baseballs faster than 40 - 45 mph? I'd rather spend the extra money if the MSBC910 is a better bat than the MJBBC9A (coach pitch). Baseball Bat Buyer
