Description
Take your game to the next level with the new and improved Marucci bat lineup. One of the main differences from the CAT 7 is the new and improved AZ105 Alloy, the strongest aluminum on the Marucci bat line, allows for thinner barrel walls, a higher response rate and better durability. Its 2 5/8-inch barrel provides an expanded sweet spot for more base hits. Another upgrade for the lineup is the 2nd Generation AV2 Anti-Vibration Knob that features a harmonic dampening system for better feel and less negative vibrational feedback. Marucci Sports: Honor the Game.
This Marucci CAT 8 BBCOR (MCBC8) baseball bat features a -3 length to weight ratio and a 2 5/8 inch ring-free barrel construction, important for increased barrel flex and reducing the likelihood of dead spots, so every ball you hit can travel high and far. The barrel is also precision-balanced for a lower M.O.I, resulting in a lighter feel as you swing and giving you better precision and control. Its one-piece alloy construction provides a clean, consistent swing, and the tapered handle with its soft-touch grip is topped with an ergonomic knob shape for more top-hand control and comfort while you're at the plate. This bat is BBCOR certified for high school and collegiate baseball play, and it comes with free shipping and a full one-year manufacturer's warranty. Beastly Ando Player
Pros: Used this bat for Freshman year (Highschool) I'm a 14 year old kid who's 5'9 and 150 and I'm constantly tanking balls with this bat, every pitch has made me contact whether its a 300ft ball a 50ft ball there's contact.
Cons: Can't list a flaw

Nice Bat - first time BBCOR owner Chris Coach
Pros: My son is 13. He likes the grip- it's a thicker grip and feels different. Absolutely crushing his first few balls off it in games. Have only owned it a few weeks.
Cons: It's not really a Con but if you are used to a drop -10 and you move to this drop -3 you need to be ready and have the strength to do it.
Very good product Tracey Mitchell Player

Great bat! Denise Parent
Pros: Nice design and good balance. Gave pop a 2 because it is bbcor. He still hits to the outfield every time, so it can't be too bad.
Cons: The handle may be a little too thick.
great bat! Coach/Parent Parent
Pros: My son tested the bat at the local demo day and loved it, but I knew nothing about Marucci or the Cat8. I researched and found that the cat6 and cat7 did very well. He used a Demarini CF8 in little league and we loved the power and pop of that bat. After his 5th homerun as an 11 year old moving up the whole team was using it. So the Cat8 had big shoes to fill and boy did it. The pop of this bat is fantastic. He even hit a homerun over a 270 feet & 6 foot tall fence. The bat even looks good.
Cons: Kids on the team complained about the loud ping the bat makes during contact at the indoor practices before the season.
Great bat as always Brian Parent
Pros: Great bat. Son really liked the Cat 6 and 7. Had to move up to BBCOR for summer ball. He is on the smaller size so going from drop 5 to 3 took a little getting used too. Having played with the 6 and 7 already did help and so far he really likes the feel. He has even made statement that we won't have to get a new bat for a while.
Cons: None so far
Great Stick Keith Coach
Pros: Pop, balance, sweet spot. We noticed right away a larger sweet spot with this bat. It was expanded quite a bit from other bats he has used. Balls fly off this thing with higher velocity. My son is 13 years old, 120 lbs and swings the 32/29. I pitch to him from behind a screen and we both noticed higher velocity of balls off the bat after just a few swings. This is his 2nd Marucci and he loves it. Based on the use from his Cat 7, we do expect to see a full season 6 -8 months of use. After that time, he will have literally out grown the bat. Use the available charts and swing one to get the right size that still has room for growth. As a parent, you should hear the air moving when your kid swings (swinging correctly). Hope this helps with your next bat selection. We have bought several times from Just Bats & have been very pleased with their delivery and will be back.

My son loves it. Derek Parent
Pros: Hot bat and just keeps getting hotter. Bought this for my son and first day out I thought don’t seem much better than his Easton but within a week I thought there it is. My boy has always been a marucci lover but we swayed to Easton and have came back and so far am very happy we did.

Great Bat Baseball Dad Coach
Pros: I know now why all these high school players are swinging Marucci bats. I have always been an Easton guy, but decided to see what all the fuss is about. This bat has great pop and feel and is well balanced with a nice look. Only had for about a month so not sure on durability at this point.
Cons: This sucker is loud. Better take you some ear plugs if you gonna hit several buckets at an indoor cage.
Excellent bat James Kisiel Coach
Pros: I was surprised with the performance of this bat right out of the box. My sons confidence is thru the roof. Excellent balance and nice grip.
Cons: None
Raking Big Rob Parent
Pros: Great bat and sweet sound off the barrel. Swings lighter than the cat7. My 15 year old son has the cat7 and loves the new cat7. Marucci hands down nailed it on this one. Ball does fly off barrel faster and further than the cat7. Get your. You won't be disappointed!!!

Pros: My son is 14 using his first drop 3. We had Maruccis in the past and loved them, but had to go a year without one this past season due to the USA stamp requirements. He absolutely loves the Cat 8. The ball jumps of the bat and is well balanced. He is glad to be using a Marucci again!

Pros: Has a good feel. Ball comes off the bat well
Cons: Since I have got the bat I have had no cons with it.
Great pop, finish is not durable Devin parent
Pros: Bat has the distinctive Marucci sound Large sweet spot Well balanced
Cons: Has a matte finish, unlike the previous Cat 7's glossy finish. This finish/paint is not as durable. This new bat already has a scratch down to the metal through the paint. Owned a Cat 7 for more than a year and it doesn't have any scratches down to the metal even though it's been used for thousands of cuts.
Great Bat! logan boyd player
Pros: tge grip is better and si is the pop
Cons: none
Great bat has loads of pop Panthers Baseball player
Pros: I just recently started using it and I have hit balls longer that I have ever hit before. SO MUCH POP
Cons: It has a few dings and scratches all ready.
Great Bat Caden M player
Pros: More balanced than the Cat7 with more pop. Quick through the zone with great control and tons of pop. The Cat8 will be the best Marucci as put out. We are very picky about bats and don't care about looks, only performance. This bat has it all. Don't get caught up in price, this is the best bat in our tests in our families batting cage, including the Velo, Mako and 918. All great bats, but the Cat8 performed the best.
Cons: Nothing.
Cat8 brought us back K. M. parent
Pros: My son, 15, was a huge Cat6 fan but went away from when they made changes in the Cat7. When the Cat8 came out he demoed it and the smile on his face said it all. Great balance and tons of pop. I do a ton of research on bats and he has tried everything from the Velo to the Mako Beast, to the 918. This bat is the best on the market.
Cons: Absolutely nothing.

Cons: none

My 14 year old son is just north of 5'10" tall, weighs 165 lbs and is playing for a club team and also the local Babe Ruth League (will be in High school next year). Doctor stated he will most likely be around 6'-2" when he stops growing (size 12 foot). He started swinging the Marucci CAT 8 BBCOR MCBC8 at the club and loves it. Is this bat acceptable for play in Babe Ruth? High School? He is looking at the 32" length. His avg. swing speed is fast and was measured at just over 70 sometimes reaching upwards of 75. (he is as strong as an ox). His hitting coach (who I like) states no one should be swinging anything longer than a 32 (I tend to agree) but would love another expert opinion. He could be more consistent with making contact but when he does he sends it. Thanks, Mark Mark Ventura
