Description

It's time to step up and attack the diamond, because the two-piece composite just changed forever! Louisville Slugger proudly introduces their new two-piece composite bat suitably named the TPX Attack. The Attack BBCOR debuts Louisville Slugger's new two-piece T2 Technology. This revolutionary new transition technology strengthens the link between the barrel and handle to give the Attack a trampoline spring and virtually eliminates vibration on contact. This straighter, thicker rubber ring results in a bat that is not only sturdier, but gives players an unparalleled feel of the ball jumping off the bat. Rather than thicken the barrel walls to meet BBCOR standards, Louisville Slugger has inserted a 1" wide graphite band. This Flex Band Technology allows the Attack to have the lowest swing weight of any BBCOR bat, and it's small enough that the sweet spot feels just like your old BESR bat! The Attack is constructed from Louisville Slugger's LS-2X Composite that uses thinner, high-strength and lightweight graphite fibers to add more layers to the barrel for reinforced strength, while reducing the overall thickness of the barrel wall. More pop, less weight: that's the formula for better performance AND durability. ATTACK the strike zone like never before with the Louisville Slugger Attack BBCOR! Louisville Slugger: Be the Best, or Swing the Rest! It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: Hit this bat in the cage 4-5 times. The bat feels like one of the most balanced BBCOR I have swung. The ball seemed to jump off the composite barrel top to bottom. On miss hits in didnt vibrate like most other BBCOR bats. I was very impressed and finally feel like I got my money's worth out of a BBCOR bat.

Cons: $399.99 yikes... Best bat around, but not sure any bat is worth that money.

Pros: Bat is nice and light as a -3 goes, nice pop with a good hit, also no sting when a fowl ball is hit. All around good bat.

Cons: Handle (end piece) I notice started chipping, The bat has had at lest 500+ hits off T-stand and soft toss. The end piece handle has never hit the ground, don't know whats causing it to chip.

Pros: I just got this bat and it is amazing. It has kind of the same feel as the S1 and you can feel the bat flex when the ball jumps off the bat. It kind of sounds like a wood bat and I love the sound of it. The S1 feels lighter and all that but the Attack is just so smooth through the zone. It is a very well balanced bat. Not as good as the S1 but it's right behind it.

Cons: None.

Pros: Solid hitting bat right out of the plastic. sounds slightly like a wood bat when you hit it on the sweet spot.

Best Bat Ever Nick Garofalo player

Pros: The best bat I've ever swung in my life. when you connect with the ball it fly's of the bat. there is no sting when you swing. it feels like hitting a cloud. I've used this for 2 weeks and already have had more extra base hits than I had last fall.

Cons: the price wasn't an issue at all. worth every dime. BUT if you want the bat to last, you got to break it in and swing it probably 200-250 times of a tee or soft toss and turn in 1/4 turn after each swing.

Pros: Bat per as advertised for 3 months, and my 14u loved it.

Cons: Bat went "dead" meaning no apparent surface defect, but something broke internally that rendered the bat "dead" (NO POP). JustBats only referred me to Louisville for warranty, and they refused to even issue me an RMA # because there are surface damage (what I get for being honest i guess). So I'm out $200. Last Louisville bat I will buy and will pass along in my league.

Cons: Broke in the 1st month, I go the replacement and broke it in on the tee (250-500) hits, had my teammate do soft toss, and then had him pitch slow so the bat would break in nicely. The bat never broke after that.

Would you expect this bat to get better with use or go flat with use? I always thought that composite bats got better with use, but after reading some reviews on some composite bats, I not sure that is the case.
Perry
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A is a composite bat that will improve the more it's used. It will require 150-200 hits before it gets close to reaching it's peak.
Tyler
Is this bat 100% composite?
RP
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is a two-piece fully composite design.
Aubrey
Which bat is more balanced and which bat has a larger sweet spot, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack or the 2013 Easton S1?
Kevin
Both the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult and the Easton S1 are very balanced. The Attack has a slightly larger sweet spot.
Kara
How is it balanced?
MB
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR is a very well balanced bat.
Zach
I am a power hitter will this bat be good for me? Also, when will you guys be getting a 34"?
BigB
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat is great for a power hitter. This bat will be a two-piece composite design with a very balanced swing weight. The 34" is currently on its way to us. Unfortunately, I am unaware of the actual date of arrival. I would check back in a couple of weeks. Also, we have an out of stock list we could add your information to. We could then call you or email you when the 34" BBCOR Attack comes in.
Brandon
Is this bat prone to cracking? My friends that have louisville sluggers have had there bats crack very easily.

We have not heard of any durability issues with the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult.
Zach
What is the biggest difference between the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack and Easton S1?
rb
Main difference between these two bats is going to be found in the taper of the bat. The S1 features Easton's ConneXion Technology which helps reduce vibration and provide the hitter more flex. The Attack features T^2 Technology which strengthens the link between the barrel and handle, giving players more control while also reducing vibrations.
Cooper
What is the difference from this bat and the marucci 2?
Bobby
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat is a two-piece all composite design. It will be very balanced in swing weight. The amount in vibration felt will be very limited. This bat will require a period of break-in before it will be ready for game use. The 2013 Marucci Black 2 BBCOR: MCBB20 Adult bat will be a seamless two-piece hybrid design. It will have a composite handle and an alloy barrel. The barrel on this bat will be extended for a larger sweet spot. It will feature a patented unequal Kevlar-Reinforced grip to eliminate sting. Both bats would be a great choice for the hitter needing a BBCOR Certified bat.
Brandon
My son is about 5'5" and 125 lbs. Not a power hitter but a solid contact/gap hitter. He has been using the Demarini's through the years and most recently has been swinging a CF5 32/29. Through a lot of use, it is pretty beat up and we are looking to replace it. How does the pop in this bat compare to the CF5? Any other bat you would recommend?
Hammer Time
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR is very comparable to the DeMarini CF5. Both are two-piece fully composite bats. Both use top of the line materials which translates to top of the line performance. Another great choice would be the Easton S1. It too has a two-piece full composite design.
Justin R.
What is a typical break-in period for this bat before it is game ready?
Cut4
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat will require 100-200 swings off of a batting tee or soft toss. Make sure and rotate the entire barrel during the process. Then it should be game ready.
Brandon
How does the 2013 Attack compare to the 2013 Combat Portent? I am 5'5", 115 lbs. and a contact hitter. I'm trying to decide between these two models.
Z_AxeMan
The Attack BBCOR debuts Louisville Slugger's new two-piece T2 Technology. This revolutionary new transition technology strengthens the link between the barrel and handle to give the Attack a trampoline spring and virtually eliminates vibration on contact. This straighter, thicker rubber ring results in a bat that is not only sturdier, but gives players an unparalleled feel of the ball jumping off the bat. The Attack BBCOR is going to be a very high performing bat and has been getting great reviews.
Kara
Is this bat more for a power or contact hitter?
The Marucci Black: MYB11 Youth is a two-piece composite bat which is ideal for contact hitting.
Kevin
My son is 5'10", 175. He has a quick bat and is more of a contact hitter, but can also hit with power. Attack or EXOGRID 3 and why?
hj33
For a contact hitter, I would recommend going with the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult. it is a two-piece bat, which is preferred by many contact hitters given its flexibility.
Marcus
My son has last years Z-1000, why is this bat better? I spent $370 last year and it is now only $99. Why such a big drop off? Others didn't seem to depreciate as much. Which bat is best currently. Our high school season starts February 31. With the temperature not being above 60 degrees. Would alloy be best to maximize pop and durability?
Dan
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is a two-piece bat. The Z-1000 was a one-piece. The Attack has new technology to it's design. It has a lower MOI which will help achieve the quickest bat speed possible. The Z-1000 did not have that. The Attack BBCOR is one of the top performing BBCOR bats on the market. All bats will suffer in colder temperatures because the baseball become more dense and heavy.
Brandon
How do you think the TPX Attack baseball bat stacks up against the Easton S1 baseball bat? Which do you think has more pop?
> hammer
Both are great bats. The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR and the Easton S1 BBCOR will perform the same.
Frank
Which composite bat has more trampoline effect the TPX Attack or the Easton S1?
>hammer
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPS Attack and the Easton S1 will have equally high performing composite materials.
Justin R.
If I use this in the cold, and sometimes in the rain, will the TPX Attack get cracked or have any damage due to the bad weather conditions? I know old fully composite bats didn't do so well in the cold.
gwilli
We recommend that you avoid using composite bats in weather 55 degrees Fahrenheit or below. In temperatures under 55, the ball can get harder and that is what can do damage to composite bats.
Mac
My son is a freshman 5'5",130 pounds. I see charts that give recommendations for a certain size bat. Is there something else besides the charts to go by in deciding a 33" vs 32" drop 3? Don't want it too heavy
jg
I always recommend bat size charts as a last resort, or as a tool to confirm the bat size you have in mind is correct. You will want to look at the length and weight of his current bat, and his strength and swing speed with said bat. For instance, if he's been using a lighter bat with a weight of less than 22 ounces or so, then I would recommend the lighter of the two sizes (32"). If he's been using a heavier bat with success, like a 23 to 27 oz. bat, then I would recommend the heavier size (33"). His coach should also be a good resource (if he's a good coach, or has evaluated the player with his previous bat). It's also helpful to take him to a store, or have him swing the bats of teammates in a variety of sizes to see what size he is most comfortable with.
Tyler
I'm stuck between the 2013 DeMarini CF5 or the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack. I'm a big power hitter so I'm wondering which is the better of the two.
john baseball
Both the DeMarini CF5 and the Louisville Slugger Attack BBCOR's will preform very similar. Both bats are recommended for line drive hitters but depending on the batter will still hit for power.
Chad M.
What bat would you recommend for cold weather use?
Rey
We recommend that the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult and all bats be used in temperatures above 55 degrees. Alloy bats will perform better in cold weather than composites, but we recommend you stay out of the cold as much as possible.
Frank
Can you compare the feel and the construction of the bat to the old Louisville Slugger Catalyst?
hosa
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat is a two-piece, fully composite bat with a balanced swing weight. The Louisville Slugger Catalyst is a balanced, one-piece composite bat that would have a stiffer flex than the Attack.
Mac
what is the difference between this bat and the 2013 omaha
hotshot
The TPX Attack is a 2 piece composite constructed bat, where the Omaha is a 1 piece alloy construction. Therefore, the Attack will have more flex than the Omaha.
Derek
When will this bat be available in bat packs?
Daniel S.
If we still have some 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bats in stock, they will probably be available in bat packs sometime this fall (September or October more than likely).
Tyler
Is there a warranty on this bat?
Mike
Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult has a 12 month manufacturer's warranty.
Frank
Which bat do you personally think is better? The 2013 TPX Attack BBCOR or the 2013 TPX EXOGRID BBCOR?
wildcat
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat would be my pick. It is a two-piece fully composite model. It will be very balanced and light in swing weight. Also, the composite handle will not allow much vibration at all.
Brandon
Is the TPX Attack BBCOR balanced?
john
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is a balanced bat.
Marcus
Does this bat require a break in?
zbob
Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult will require a break in period of 100-200 soft toss swings rotating the barrel a quarter of an inch every ten swings.
Noah
My son loves this bat but just started playing for a travel team. Is this bat legal for Pony and USSSA 13U? Thanks!
VA
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is legal in Pony and USSSA 13U.
Kara
Would this bat be good for a power hitter?
zbob
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is a balanced bat, so it is a little better for a contact hitter. You might want to go with something like the Easton XL series.
Noah
Is this bat worth buying? Everyone's saying the TPX Attack cracks/breaks in less than a month or so.
jc play's
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult uses top of the line composite materials for outstanding performance and durability. Keep in mind it does come with a one year manufacturer's warranty if the bat should become defective.
Kara
If im a boy that is still in Pony League, but in High School, should I get this bat?
Mark J
Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult would be perfect for a high school Pony League player.
Noah
Does this bat come with the same carbon fiber that is at its peak performance right out or the wrapper or does it get better with age like other composites? Also, with the new two-piece technology will the Attack BBCOR have a larger barrel/sweet spot than the previous Z1000 BBCOR?
Jim-E
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult uses the same composite material as the Z-1000. It will perform better the more it is used. The sweet spot will be similar in both bats.
Kara
What is the difference in the XL1 and the Attack?
brad
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is a balanced two-piece composite bat and the Easton Xl1 is an end loaded bat.
Kara
Is there a way I can get this bat in other colors?

No, the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack (BB13A) is only available in the gray camo, white and blue color scheme.
John
Is the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult end loaded?

Which bat will launch the ball the furthest the BBCOR XL1 or Attack?
archbishopmittyreppin
The Louisville Slugger Attack and the Easton XL1 are very nice two-piece composite designs that are very high performing. It would come down to personal preference of swing weight. The Louisville Slugger Attack is going to be a balanced design while the XL1 is going to have an end loaded design.
John

My son is moving up to BBCOR requirements for first time. He had major success hitting with a TPX Catalyst 31" 19 oz. Now needs BBCOR. Is the Attack the most similar bat to the Catalyst? Are there lower priced options than this Attack that you would recommend?
catchermom
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat would be one of the lightest BBCOR options from Louisville Slugger. I would also checkout the 2013 Louisville Slugger Omaha Balanced BBCOR. Neither of these will feel like a -12 youth bat though.
Brandon
Which easton bat is this comparable to?
Hitson3
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat will be very similar to Easton's S1 BBCOR bat.
Brandon
Will this bat pass the USSSA stamp requirements for use in travel ball?
Tim
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult is a BBCOR bat, so it does not feature the USSSA 1.15 BPF stamp.
Marcus
Is this bat good for a contact hitter (balanced, full composite, etc.)? How does this compare to the S1 and CF5?
adam
Yes, the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack model is a very well balanced two-piece full composite design. The Attack is going to be very comparable to the S1 and CF5 in terms of balance and design.
John
Is this bat good for power hitters?
baseball 4645
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult can definitely be used by power hitters who prefer a balanced bat. Typically, power hitters use end loaded bats more efficiently. The extra mass in the barrel provided by the end load creates more momentum during the swing. This extra weight could slow down the swing of a contact hitter.
Mac
When will the new Attack and Raid be available?
sc
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack will be released mid January. The BBCOR Raid model will be released early to mid December.
John
Is the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult better than the 2013 Rawlings VELO BBCOR: BBVELO Adult?
ab
Both are good bats. The 2013 Rawlings VELO BBCOR: BBVELO Adult will be more balanced than the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult. However, the Attack is a two-piece composite bat so it will have more flex and cut down on vibration better than the Velo.
Damon
A lot of people say this bat has durability issues on your site. Is this true or false?
jf
The product reviews of the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A Adult bat come directly from our customers and the end users. These reviews are often your best insight into many characteristics of a bat including durability. However, it's tough to estimate the life of any bat. My son is 5'5" and is one of the strongest players on the team and currently swings a 32/27 2014 xl1 and he is looking for a bbcor bat to get him ready for highschool . Would this bat be a good choice and if so should we get a 31/28 or 32/29?
NextLevelBaseball3
Yes, the 2013 Louisville Slugger Attack (BB13A) would be a great option for a player just moving into BBCOR. The Attack will be a very balanced two-piece full composite design. We would recommend sticking with a 32" model for this Attack.
John
Does this bat have the same grip as the 2013 EXOGRID 3 ?
NextLevelBaseball3
The 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: BB13A has a similar grip to the EXOGRID 3.
Kara
Would this bat be more end loaded or balanced?

Is there a difference between the 2013 and the 2014 model?
darein
The 2014 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BBAT14-RR) and the 2013 Louisville Slugger TPX Attack (BB13A) have several differences. The composite material changed from the LS-2X construction on the 2013 model to the Pure 360 Composite on the 2014. Also, Louisville Slugger introduced its new Tru-3 technology on the 2014 model. This modified connection piece offers enhanced protection against sting and vibration. With this new technology, Louisville is offering a 30 day money back guarantee that the customer will be happy with the three piece design. That option is not featured with the 2013 model.
Patrick
Is this bat more like the Easton XL1 or the Easton S1? Is this a contact hitter or power hitter bat. And is this a balanced and light swinging bat?
Mack
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) is a balanced bat similar to the Easton S1. It is designed for a contact hitter. The Easton XL1 is end loaded and better for a power hitter.
Kara
When comparing this bat (BB13A) to the EXOGRID3 and NVS Vexxum, which bat is the best?
Attack
All three options are nice BBCOR certified bats. The difference is in their construction so a preference for one over the other would be based on what design you like. The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) is a two-piece fully composite design. The Louisville Slugger EXOGRID 3 BBCOR (BB13EX) is a modified hybrid design the fuses an alloy barrel with composite inserts and bands that create a stiffer feeling, high performance hybrid. The 2014 DeMarini Vexxum NVS BBCOR (DXVXC) is a more traditional style hybrid that offers a bit more flex. It has a composite handle and an alloy barrel.
Patrick
My Louisville Slugger Attack BBCOR 2013 model has a rattling sound in it. What does that mean?
jimmybaseball
If your Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) Adult has a rattle on the inside it can mean a couple of different things. A lot of the times the glue from the end cap will break off and get inside the bat. It could also be some dirt that got into the barrel. You should not see any performance issues but in most cases that would fall under warranty claims through the manufacturer.
Aaron
I know this is last years version but is the Attack the continued version of the Louisville slugger Z-1000? Because I loved the Z-1000 and would like a bat similar to it.
lc bird baseball
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) replaced the Louisville Slugger Z-1000. The main difference is the BB13A is a two-piece composite compared to the one-piece design of the Z-1000.
Kara
Is this bat good in hot temperatures like Arizona? Also, does this model need a break in period, or is hot out of the wrapper?
ab
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: (BB13A) will need a slight break in. Generally, we suggest around 125-150 swings turning the barrel a quarter of an inch each time. This will help loosen up the fibers all around the barrel, and will increase the performance of the composite materials. The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR: (BB13A) should be fine being used in warmer temperatures, however, we do not recommend using the model in temperatures lower than 55 degrees.

I'm looking for a new bat. Between the 2013 Attack and the 2013 EXOGRID 3, which would be better suited for a gap to gap contact hitter like myself?
ponyboy
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) is a two-piece fully composite design. The Louisville Slugger EXOGRID 3 BBCOR (BB13EX) is a modified hybrid design the fuses an alloy barrel with composite inserts and bands that create a stiffer feeling, high performance hybrid. Between the two, I would recommend going with the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A). it is a two-piece bat, which is preferred by many contact hitters given its flexibility.
Tessa
Does it come in a size 30 inch?
mr. boss
This Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) was not produced in a 30" model. The smallest size it was made in was the 31" length.
Mac
Is it heavy?
boss
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) will be the standard -3 length to weight ratio for all BBCOR bats. It will be a well balanced design which helps give it a lighter swing feel than some other BBCOR models.
Patrick
Why was this bat discontinued? I was going to get one within a month or so and you guys had the only good price. What happened?
116311
The Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR (BB13A) is a 2014 model so that is why it has been discontinued. The new model, which is the 2015 Louisville Slugger Prime 915, has recently been released and that is what replaced it.
Cooper
Which bat is better for contact and which is better for power between this model and the 2014 XL3?
J how
Between the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB13A) and the 2014 Easton XL3 BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB14X3) the XL3 will feature an end-loaded feel which would be more preferred by power hitters over the more balanced Attack.
Patrick
I had to get a warranty on this bat and sadly it was out of stock so I was given the 2014 Raid. Which is the better bat?
Baseball Fanatic
Both the Louisville Slugger TPX Attack BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB13A) and the 2014 Louisville Slugger Raid BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBRD14-RR) are high performing models. The major difference is the barrel material. The Raid has an alloy barrel whereas the Attack has a composite barrel. The preference between the two would come down to what material you like better.
Patrick
I am looking for a BBCOR bat with lightest feeling swing weight. Do you have any ideas around $80 to $140? Brand doesn't matter.
theBomber
The 2014 Louisville Slugger Attack BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBAT14-RR) and the 2014 Louisville Slugger Assault BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBAS14-RR) will be two of the lightest models in terms of swing weight available within that price range.
Patrick
I got this bat a little while ago at Dick's Sporting Goods. It sounds like there is sand in it. Is this normal?

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
