Hot-Bat
Pros: The other reviews say it all. This is an excellent bat. My daughter was in a 12U end of year tournament last year when we bought this. Being 6' she really needed something bigger. The balance of this bat combined with the large sweet spot and high performance kept all her other bats in the bag this year. Several over the fence this year in 14U. Team jokes about her "triple Sundays". Truly amazing.
Cons: She hits only about 200 balls a week (no cage balls!) and still developed looseness between the handle and barrel. Sending it in to warranty today for 2012 model. Giving it 4 stars only because of durability under average conditions. A big selling point for the 2012 model is the handle/barrel connection. Hoping it's better. They don't give a 1yr warranty on the replacement bat though. :-(

Pros: Great pop right out of the wrapper! My daughter loves this bat. She won't even take her Rocket-Tech out of the bag anymore.
Cons:
Bruno DeHoemp
Pros: Bat is clearly the hottest bat on the market. Many of the best hitters in HS and travel ball are using this weapon with incredible results.
Cons: None- newer design so only time will tell.
Sena
Pros: This bat is HOT!!! My daughter fell in love with this bat...she even slept with it the first few days...all the girls on the team are now asking to use it. With this bat in her bag, I think this is going to be a great season!
Cons: none so far...
BAM
Pros: OMG super hot...my daughter believes this bat will not stay legal....bought it after breaking a CF4 in half at the barrel (got a new one but will never see daylight as long as the xeno is around. XENO.....right out of the box BAM!!!...her 2010 12hr record last year stands no chance with this bat in her bag.
Cons: after 1 month starting a few small cracks similar to a CF4...but still cannot pry this out of my daughters hands...will update later on the small cracks she currently hit about 400 balls each week
Luci
Pros: This is my new favorite bat. I have all of the big names in my equipment bag - Worth, Easton and Demarini. This bat provides more pop than any of the others. The ball sounds odd off of the barrel but the results are proof that the sound means nothing. The barrel is slightly end-loaded and has improved my swing and helps my shoulders from coming over my hands. I am very happy that my private coach let me try her demo or I would have never given this bat a try on my own.

Pros: Great bat right out of the box. My daughter broker her bat at a tourney and needed a new bat for the next day. This one performed better than expected. She loves the way this bat feels and is confident at the plate.
Cons:
JMan
Pros: No hand shock, great energy return and no break-in! My daughter used this bat last week in Utah and hit one out on her second at bat with it. Love it!
Cons: none so far!

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
