Pros: Bought bat for my 15 yr old daughter. In her first game, she was ahead of all pitches and had 3 RBI'S, a double and a triple. She loves the feel and sound of the bat. With the weight ratio she is no longer dropping her shoulder.Would recommend this bat over others in the price range. She has used a Nike bat and a Demarini and like the Easton over the others.

Cons: None as of now.

Pros: I got this for my 9year old and there is a nice jump off the bat. Go with regular shipping was at house in 2 days. At this point no one is hitting further than my daughter with this bat. This is our first composite bat. I recomend this and I would not go a cheaper route. Spend the $

Cons: It does feel heavy at first but it is balanced and daughter went from 30/17 to 30/20 so big difference but she can get the bat around to hit.

Pros: My daughter will be moving to 12U in the Fall, she had been using a -12 drop but I wanted to get her a -10.I bought her the Synergy 30/20. Even though it was heavier the balanced swing weight made for a smooth transition and she is loving it. It seems hot to me, and has little to no vibration on miss hits.

Cons: None

Pros: Great pop! The ball jumps off of this bat when you hit it anywhere near the sweet spot. The bat gives great feedback in terms of sound and feel. The crack of the bat when you strike the ball well is very clear and distinct. The grip and the design of the bat absorb all of the vibration from an off-center hit. The weighting is just a little toward the barrel of the bat from being dead center.

Cons: The bat feels heavier in your hands than it is, but once you swing it a few times, it feels great.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Synergy Speed Fastpitch Softball Bat: SRV4B? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Is this a bat that will break easily BatBreaker
If you take some time to properly break-in this bat, it should be pretty durable. A good break-in period means taking about 100-150 hits off a batting tee at about 50% power. Between each hit be sure to rotate the bat a quarter of an inch in your hands to ensure the entire surface of the bat is covered. As you get closer to 100 swings, you can increase your power to about 80-100%. It also helps to limit the number of people who use the bat.
Brett
How long should this bat last? Sarah747
Most bats manufactured today last an average of 60 games. However, there are several things you can do to prolong the life, i.e. use only in games, don't let others use it, don't hit yellow dimpled balls at the cage, use only in temps above 65 degrees & treat it well.
Bodie
I notice some people have bought for young girls. Is the 34" 24 oz good for top premier women players. Bluesox
The weight of the bat really is determined by the size of the player. A 34" 24 oz bat would be a good choice for a high level player of high school age or older.
Jeff
I am considering either the SRV4B or the SRV6B Synge. My 8yr old girl will need either a 29 or 30in and I am not sure which bat would be a better option. She is a pretty good hitter, but I am not sure if the Speed is that much better than the Synge at her age. Can you provide some advice? Mike
Comparing the composition of each bat, the SRV4B features a Vibration Reduction System to help reduce vibration. The SRV6B does not feature this. Both sell great though and have excellent track records in regards to performance and durability. There is also a difference in the lenght to weight ratio between the two, so keep that in mind.
Jeff
what is the major difference between the srv4b and the srv5b besides the drop? and when is easton planning on coming out with new synergy speed bat big daddy
This bat has a balanced weight whereas the SRV5B will have a slightly end loaded weight. The SRV5B is not approved for NCAA Softball. SRV4B is approved.
Kris
Would it make sense to purchase an sk62B for batting practice and the srv4b for games? Is the balance similar between the two at 34/24? Would the Aluminum hold up better for 1000's of hits in practice? rookieatbatbuying
Although the balance is similar, it is not exactly the same. It does make sense to have a batting practice bat, and the SK62B would be a great bat for that purpose!
Dave
I'm a power hitter and i have been swinging the old easton Synergy (the purple one) for 3 years. I broke the all-time homerun record for my high school last year as a sophmore. I'm very comfortable with the bat i have now, but i need a new one to start breaking so it will be hot as i go into college in a year. Would this bat be a good replacement? And will the ball continue to fly off my bat (im a consistent 250ft hitter)? Lightning
Bats used in college play have to be BBCOR certified. This is a Fastpitch bat, not a baseball bat and will not meet college requirements.
Kara
Is this a good bat for power hitters? Beth 23
Yes, it is an excellent bat for power hitters. Its a 1 piece all composite bat, weighted perfectly for power hitters.
Linda
Is this a single or double wall bat? craver29
The Synergy is a single wall bat
Sean
what is the difference between the synergy and synge bat tom
Both are 1 piece all composite bats. The Synergy is more end heavy, and the Synge is more balanced.
LKH
I know this bat is discontinued so can you tell me of another bat that is comparable to the Easton Synergy Speed? Becki
Yes, the 2014 Easton FS2 (FP14S2) would be very similar to the Easton Synergy Speed. Both models will be a one-piece composite design with a -10 drop.
