Pros: i've had it for 3 years and it has been perfect
Cons:
KarlyJo
Pros: Really good bat! It hits well, and is a clean and cool bat.
Cons: After many uses it starts to fall apart, and for most people, breaks cleanly in half.
Softballmom26
Pros: My daughter just loved this bat! Great pop, light weight design. She used it the whole year in travel ball and wants another one. Worth the money!
Cons: The rails started to peel but really didn't affect anything and she was still able to use it. Bat was only good for one year of travel ball until pop was gone.
shana
Pros: I've had this bat for 2 years now. I play 14u fastpitch softball. The bat hasnt broken or cracked since ive had it. I really loved this bat.
Cons:
Roadrunner 1234
Pros: No vibration AT ALL! This bat is amazing! Best bat if you like to bunt alot.Great bat if you are a power hitter!
Cons: I bought it from a friend and it hasnt broken yet!
krswany65
Pros: This bat has alot of bang for the buck the pop off the bat out of the wrapper the price is right!!!
Cons: There are no cons, buy this bat you will not be sorry
Steve
Pros: Great pop... for the first year
Cons: Broke in half the second year. Multiple girls on our team and in our area experienced this issue with this bat the second year. I would recommend DeMarini, but not this bat!!
Anonymous
Pros: My daughter loves this bat! I have 4 kids that play they all have DeMarini bats but this is the nicest one of all of them. We are very happy with the bat and will forsure buy from you in the future! I was very happy with the quick S&H!
Cons:
VA Gentleman
Pros: Now the price is a big plus. My 9 yr old has used this bat for nearly a year and the results have be great. The extra pop/distance she gained boosted her confidence tremendously. Great bat for young girls just starting out in fp, especially with the -12 drop to help with bat speed.
Cons: The only con I have is the clear coat on the red part of the bat chipped off. But that is just a cosmetic thing. Overall for the low price you can't pass it up. May order a couple for when this one does go south.
MadDogsMom
Pros: OK, our situation is a bit different. My daughter 10u broke her arm over Christmas. She can only bat (right handed) using her right hand. She got up at her Travel Ball practice and with one hand, whacked the ball to the outfield! The new coach is excited to see what she does with 2 hands. She loves the bat and from the looks of it, will perform well, using it.
Cons: I read a lot about breaking with this bat. I also read that DiMarini stands behind their product and replaces them. I am hoping we don't have to go there. Like I had told my husband, most people write reveiws when they have a problem, not when they are happy.
Jocelyn
Pros: Great bat for slappers. over a couple of months, still hasnt broke.
Cons: isnt a good bat for power hitters.
Anonymous
Pros: 13yr old still using hers, purchased for 9yr old. Been great, staying with this model 4ever.
Cons:
Althea
Pros: This bat has such a smooth swing. Love the two piece design and the sound when the ball makes contact. Have had this bat over a year and has proven to be very durable other than a few scuff marks on the barrel.
Cons: It's white, so sometimes it'll get scuffed up a bit.
Danielle
Pros: loved the bat it was very light and had great power
Cons: then during a game it snapped in half and the barrel of the bat flew towards the 2nd baseman :(
chicah6
Pros: Great pop when you get good contact. Lightweight.
Cons: Broke in half an inch down from the barrel, only had the bat for 1 1/2 years.
softballexpert
Pros: The only thing I'd say that is good about it is that it's light and easy to whip around.
Cons: It literally, broke in two pieces. I was astonished. We had just payed all that money and now I have a broken bat? I don't reccommend this at all. DO NOT BUY.
VA DAD
Pros: Drop 12 great for younger players. Good transition bat from the -13 model Bustos/Cat type bat. Daughter played 8U this year and the bat was great for that level. Did not use in cages, but took plenty of swings and still performing. Moving away from coach pitch to fastpitch this fall, we'll see how well it holds up then.
Cons: None at the moment.
Anonymous
Pros: Descent pop. Nice grip
Cons: After a long break-in, My daughter 11 year-old was in the cages 30 min. before the Illinois South-state championship. She broke it in half!!!!!
Anonymous
Pros:
Cons: My 12yr old has had this bat for one full season. It broke in half this past weekend. Only plan on getting your year's worth out of it if that because that's all that it's covered for!

Pros: Great bat. Love the DeMarini design and construction
Cons:
Lori
Pros: Bought this bat in March of 2009 for my 12yr old and everyone on the team loved it. School bought 2 and 3 other girls also bought.
Cons: Within five months all 6 bats have broke in half. My 10 year old ended up breaking ours in a championship game which sent the top half straight to the short stop. Very dangerous. Demarini replaces but with same bat. Just giving you another piece of junk. They need to replace with another bat that is not defective. Do not invest the money.
owdad
Pros: None. Totally overpriced. Most people I know have already replaced them.
Cons: I've seen 9-11 year old girls brake 4 of them where the handle joins the barrel. Dangerous!
a
Pros: During school ball i got the bat. Teamate coach and I loved the pop and weight.
Cons: it broke at the rails. Didn't anything cause i wasn't useing it a teamate was, thought they hit it in the wrong place. Called Demarini the sent me a new only used 3 months and went to a try out and it broke at the rail again. Bad thing was that when the sent this on to me they engraved NO WARRANTY. I dont understand why when my first bat had a year warranty and i've had two in 7-8 months..
Gerry
Pros: Good pop, dampens vibration well, quick bat. My 13yo daughter has used this bat since late March of this year for practices & tournaments, following DeMarini's instructions. It's been a great bat until it broke.
Cons: Broke in half at the rails during a game and the barrel nearly hit the 3rd baseman. I'm in the process of preparing to mail it back for a replacement.
maddogs mama
Pros: nice looking, sounds good & light. my 10 yr old daughter loved it.
Cons: broke in half on the rails after 3 months. sweet spot hard to find. lot of infield duds. other girls on team useing a lessor bat and hitting with more pop!
:)-<-<
Pros: Its a very light bat and works good with a slow pitcher. When the ball hits the right spot you don't feel a thing. Color is cool (matches my team)! It was a good bat!!
Cons: Everyone wants to use it. At the tournaments when the pitcher wasn't fast my hitting wasn't good at all I had to use a heavier bat. It's to light for me. The rails started to crack on the second or third tournament:(
DeMarini CF4 fan
Pros: The first game I had a chance to use this bat was in city championships...the weight helped a bunch because it was the fastest pitcher i'd seen yet. made contact(grounded out). when the ball is hit clearly, the results are pretty good. pop is okay..
Cons: but soon I realized that the sweet spot is miniscule and those good, clean hits are hard to get. If you it it too close to the handle, the vibrations are terrible. I've only had the bat about a month...hope it'll last, because i have heard they break easily!
crushdaball
Pros: Of the six girls that have this bat on our team, none have broken it. My daughters does appear to be losing it at the rails.
Cons: Small sweet spot. If you don't hit the ball correctly it duds into the the infield for the easy out.
Anonymous
Pros: Great feeling.great pop. great everything.
Cons: bat broke on the rails
coach C
Pros: Bat stopped the vibration, increased bat swing. Somewhat of a better pop. Daughter plays on a 14u travel team
Cons: Bat broke in half at the rails. Just talked with Demarrini and they have reinforced the bat to resolve the problem. Not sure if i trust it as our team has had bad luck with 4 other demarini bats.
Mo
Pros: very nice bat and feels great when you hit.
Cons: cracking where it says rails and according to everyone else, when it does that its about to break. :/
cal bandits #8
Pros: nice pop,great bat speed,
Cons: broke in half at the rails 7 months in.got a second one on warranty and it is cracking in same place.
MM25
Pros: Very light can't find another bat like it.
Cons: I just bought this for my 14U Daughter and she got to the plate and swong and it broke in half!!!!
Anonymous
Pros: Bought the bat 3+ months ago for our 12U team - everybody loved it! Ball jumps off sweet spot, but no forgiveness off hands or end. Very wooden-bat feel and sound to it. However...
Cons: ...bat broke in half in the middle of a game! Very dangerous - barrel landed near opposing pitcher.
daddy coach
Pros: the bat was light and had no sting back, after break in priod had very good pop! Demarini switched out no prob
Cons: bat broke in half at rails during game!
C
Pros: no vibration, nice gripping, first few times i used one it really helped my hitting
Cons: BROKE IN HALF and barral went flying, small sweet spot, plastic stuff on the red part where it says Rails started peeling off about a week before it broke..
CRGS09
Pros: A Feel good in the hands bat... When I bought it for my daughter U-14 I thought this was it...
Cons: Used it for 18 games and during an at bat...it Broke in half...
Anonymous

Cons: Broke in half during 12U game and almost hit the pitcher...
Valencia Dad
Pros: Bought it for my daughter who plays on her freshman high school team. A lot of the girls used it. The bat had lots of pop and sounded great.
Cons: Had the bat for about 4 months when it broke in half during a game. The bat broke along the rails section.
kelsey
Pros: very light
Cons: i bought this bat just before my season started and 3 months into it the bat broke in half in the middle of a game! it was extremely dangerous and my bat was basically brand new! i do not recommend this bat.
elmo
Pros: cant say did not get a chance to use in a game
Cons: broke in half snaped what ever u want to call it clean break.
Coach R
Pros: Great for players who need help with bat speed - Great feel!
Cons: Good pop, but not as good as other high end bats
jan
Pros: purchaced bat 6 months ago, balls were reallly popping of bat(hit 2 homeruns over 200 foot fence last tournament)this bat performs.
Cons: two games later bat broke in two.
Jin
Pros: Was still breaking it in, No Pro
Cons: Broke in half!!!!!
bubba gump
Pros: Bought the bat for my 12 year old daughter.Great looking bat and feels great in your hands.Stars are for the look and feel.
Cons: No pop. Must have a extra long break in period. Have hit over 300 balls and not getting better.
batty
Pros: Nice grip
Cons: Broke in half.
D Bone
Pros: Good feel, good pop
Cons: Broke in half!!
Coach Rob (Cali A's)
Pros: Has a very nice feel. Vibration is muted.
Cons: Feels like ball is hit hard, but actually has less pop than a lot of better bats.
CoachB
Pros: I have been very impressed with this bat. A big improvement over the "lite" composites on the market like the Eastons or the Mikens.
Cons: I bought one for my younger fall team, now every week another one shows up. Just a little confusion in the dugout about whos is whos
chattanooga "A" coach
Pros: Bat feels great.
Cons: No pop compared to top 2008 composites. ASA really dumbed the 2009 down. Misleading rail system gives a nice feel but ball does not travel as far in our extensive field tests.
Coach D
Pros: I bought this bat for my 13yr old daughter who plays 14u travel ball in SoCal. The Vendetta has great feel, with very limited hand sting (only balls off the handle can be felt) and best of all, it has great pop! The Vendetta is definitely different then the run of the mill, -12 composite bat. It sounds different then any composite bat I've heard, and the ball just jumps off the barrel. Great bat!
Cons: Hard to find. All of the other girls will want to swing it!
blockster
Pros: Just picked up this bat for my 10U daughter for her fall team. She used a TPS Zephyr over the summer. I have to say the bat has alot more pop than the Zephyr. She is hitting the ball alot further. I picked it up and hit some grounders and outfield and you can tell it has pop. Plus it kills bat sting which was a big issue with the Zephyr.
Cons:
sam's coach
Pros: Just ordered for my 12 yo who made her middle school team. We broke it in with soft toss over the weekend before her first game. The rail system really works, great feel with no hand sting. Balls just pop off, and she is now hitting holes in the outfield vs. infield grounders. I coach her rec team, and I can smack balls to the outfield effortlessly for fielding practice-GREAT BAT!
Cons:

Is this bat better than a combat Lisa Fernandez (Pop, durability, ect.)? There are a lot of reviews that this bat snaps in half. I know it is good on less vibration. My daughter plays on a u10 tournament team. Mad Dog
Sounds like a very good bat but concerned about it breaking in half. During the 12 month warranty if it breaks do I get a full refund? Loretta
About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
