Great Bat bdub player
Pros: First swing in practice to get the feel of it took the ball 370' and then again 340 on the next pitch. Glad I made the switch from M9 to this Demarini
Cons: None so far.
Soooo jsg11 player
Pros: LISTEN HERE SCRUBS, IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYING Zeus's THUNDER STICK. WITHOUT A DOUBT, one of the most durable bats on the market, don't believe me? Stick a regular maple bat and this ball buster in freezing Temps in a car, and hit with it against a machine the next day that throws 95+. You will find out quickly which one you will be picking up all over the hitting facility. Here's a hint, it ain't the thunder stick. I got mine when I was still a junior in high school, which is eons (four years ago). So far it's got more hits on it than a viral cat video, it's been through weather that would make other maple bats run away back to Canada. I layed it to rest for almost a year, and like the messiah, it rose from the dead and DROPPED JAWS, it made people around the world believers. Buy this if you are the one to grab the bull by the horns and ride that sorry son of a what to victory.
Cons: if pro is to go forward what is the opposite of "progress"
Worth the price Luke G player
Pros: Ball feels good coming off of the bat. Great pop. Highly durable (almost indestructable). Can easily last a season or two without losing pop or breaking.
Cons: Fine finish but blemishes far too easily. Dents from the seems of baseballs after just a few swing. Slippery handle. Pinetar or lizard skin is a must.
Wood bat Eddie Ell parent
Pros: Great bat, lightweight wish I had bought it for my son at the beginning of the season.
Cons: None
Outstanding Bat Jeremy Wilson player
Pros: This is such a great bat. Great feel with amazing pop to it.
Cons: Handle was a bit slick but easily fixed with tape
Solid bat Jimmy player
Pros: Play in an +18 league in Birmingham, AL. Honest opinion it's this or the Louisville Slugger MLB Hybrid. Both are OUTSTANDING. They don't break PERIOD. Baums are great but these are just as good. Both are still in use after 2+ years respectively and against consistent 80-90mph pitching. Pop is there., durability is a non-issue. Do yourself a favor and save money over time from breaking other bats.
Cons: None. My teammates are my testimonials and they RAVE about this bat.
Rule of thumb BigBoy26 player
Pros: Best bat ever!! Good pop, nice even weight. *(Unbreakable)*
Cons: There is none. you're stupid if you have cons with this bat!!!!
very durable Pete K player
Pros: After breaking 5 bats in a season 3 seasons ago, another guy on my team suggested this bat and I've been using it ever since. The durability has been excellent and the overall feel of the bat is great. I totally would recommend this bat to anyone planning to play a few years. Worth the little bit extra. I play in 35 and over men's baseball league
Cons: not one yet
Great Bat Peter S. player
Pros: Used it a a lot in the summer league. Hit a ton of baseballs with it and still feels brand new. Looking forward to using it in the fall and spring.
Cons: Not sure if it can be used in wood bat leagues because it's composite
You suld buy it Andrew player
Pros: I like it
Cons: It should be in a fashion magisean
Best wood bat out there! Michael player
Pros: great pop with a great feel
Cons: none
this bat is illegal mike player
Pros: a lot of pop
Cons: not able to use in wooden bat league this is more of a metal bat then a wood
Indestructible Bat RJ player
Pros: I've had this bat for more than three years now, and it's been through a lot. I've hit thousands upon thousands of balls with this, many of them in the batting cage. It truly is indestructible. And it had great pop for a would bat for a while. Definitely a great investment for what is now a great batting practice bat.
Cons: Does lose a little bit of pop over time, but that's expected in any bat especially after 3 years
hitten high
Pros: good power nice balance
Cons:
MattyG
Pros: lightweight, has nice pop in the bat.
Cons: handle is very slippery. Only thing I can think of its a great bat
Mike
Pros: Great bat with great pop. This is the best wooden bat that I have ever had. If you swing this you need to have good bat speed to get the performance out of the bat.
Cons:
Jzone
Pros: Bat is sick, great feel and weight distribution. I hit a baseball over 400 feet in my 5th game using it. Ball jumps off of it and the sound is awesome. If your a power or gap hitter this bat is for you period.
Cons: Handle is slippery, but tape fixed that right away.
J
Pros: Good pop, good durability on the barrel.
Cons: The handle fell off, meaning the circular end where your hands go. The material like welted away after only 1 1/2 months.

JOHN
Pros: great bat balance is nice end loaded for more of a power hitter last forever had mine for 2 years and playing in a wood bat league that played 5 times a week still has not broken worth the money
Cons: hard to get bat had around on a real fast pitcher (87mph)
JB24
Pros: This a very durable, high-performance bat. It has an end-loaded feel with a moderate "sweet spot".
Cons: None.
TommyGun
Pros: Great Bat, good feel, solid construction.
Cons: Check your local rules, bought it for a wood bat tournament and found that "composite" wood bats are not allowed. Bought an M9 instead
Silver Slugger
Pros: Nicely balanced and very good pop! Never thought I could like a non-metal bat but this is a great stick!
Cons: Having used metal for so long the handle without a grip felt somewhat slippery. I just bought a replacement grip for $5 and problem solved!
Gmac9
Pros: Pop is exceptional for wood. Our entire team uses thois bat for our legion games (not an exaggeration) and it hasnt broken and thats been about 1000 at bats and 100 jams atleast. and not even a crack.
Cons: You need to use Pine tar. A lot of it. It will slip out but if thats the only worry, Then this is one exceptional bat.
Buck
Pros: I did not know how far wood bat technology had advanced until I got the DX243. This thing is a trophy! It also hammers the baseball. Thanks for a superior product.
Cons: My only regret about this bat is that I did not have it during 1957 when I started 10th grade. That is not the bat's fault.
kkok
Pros: Great bat especialy if your trying to save money ive used the same bat for 2 seasons plus all my practices still has pop after about 5000 hits.
Cons: It looks like its been to hell and back twice very beat up
rocket
Pros: lots of pop for a wood bat i would recomend this for a power hitter love the weight destrobution
Cons: whats a concern
Fitz
Pros: The ball jumps off the bat nicely. The weight is distributed very well and is a true minus 3. It is holding up very well after several wood bat tournaments.
Cons: The grip is slippery but nothing some pine tar can't fix.
chipper jones
Pros: Good Bat. I use it in the cages during spring training down in orlando and it is great.
Cons:
david
Pros: Great wood bat. Best one I have used so far.
Cons:
BIG J
Pros: I have used this bat in highschool play for awhile. I hit the most homeruns on my team. In one of our "Elite" Tournaments, I went 9 for 9 in the championship game and hit for the cycle twice. Thank You Demarini!! youve given me the self esteem i need. Thanks again for saving my batting average.
Cons: NONE GREAT BAT.
dkinee
Pros: great bat very durable
Cons:
homerunisrael
Pros: great bat..best wood ive used so far
Cons: none...
Vantri
Pros: Beautiful bat with excellent balance and feel. Despite the sound off the bat, the ball comes off the bat nice.
Cons: Very slippery handle. I broke my first bat after 7 at bats on a pop-up to the pitcher. I broke the second bat after 5 at bats on a bloop to short. In total, between game time and batting practice I figure the total investment ended after a return of approximately $1.00 per hit. Kayla at Demarini replied to my e-mail request that chances of a second replacement were "very slim to none".
hitter
Pros: Very well balanced. Nice pop.
Cons:
JC
Pros: It is like driving a 4 cyclinder Accord, it does the job well with little flash. The feel off the bat is muted and the sound is muffled to a full maple bat, but pop is similar and as advertised it won't break. I have used it a lot in the cage and probably 75 game AB's. I figure it has saved me from breaking about 3 bats which is where the value is with this bat. I would buy it again if it broke
Cons: The cap showing length on the handle dissappeared sometime within warranty period. Didn't want to lose bat for a couple of weeks to get it replaced.
next star
Pros: good bat use it for high school.Good bat 2 buy if u wanna save money because it dont break
Cons:
FTT_MN
Pros: This bat is awesome. I have played amateur baseball for 5 years now and have always used real Maple bats before trying out this composite. This year, with this bat, I have hit 3 home runs, 9 doubles, 5 triples, with a .451 average and .770 SLG% leading our league in AVG and SLG%. My highlights with this bat include a 430 foot home run to left center (fence was 400 to center, 465 to left center).
Cons: No cons. I don't think this bat can break! I've had hits off the handle of this bat that surely would have broken the maple bats I've used in the past.
wazgood
Pros: Hits extremely well. Light, durable (so far) big barrel. Simply the best wooden bat I have every had
Cons: slippery handle but pine-tar or a grip is easy
tarheel6

Cons: none
5cent
Pros: This is the bat for you power hitters. Its end loaded with great feel. I use the DX110 but also have this one. All the power hitters on my mens league use this one.
Cons: Slippery handle.
PMac4da2009
Pros: Good bat for transitioning from aluminum to wood, especially for the younger player, aged 13-15. Weight being placed in the end makes for good power transition to ball. Balls hit between the logo and on pro maple emblem are true. Warranty really hold up. Bat lasted an entire season in 25 and up mens league before breaking, in a season on 25 games. No fear of breaking bat on inside pitches.
Cons: Hard to go from all wood back down to composite bat. Found bat to be light in hands afterwards. If you swing a -3 you might consider going up an additional inch in length for this bat to adjust to wood bat weights. I use 33" wood and 34" Pro Maple now.
big hitter
Pros: this is one of the best bats i've ever had wood or aluminum. This is a good bat to get.
Cons: The handle is slippery
your nickname

Cons: bat hits to far balls are expensive these days
Flick

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
