Cons: Takes a while to break in
Amazing David Player
Pros: Bat is awesome absolutely cranks them
Cons: Vibration in hands if you hit it awkwardly
For 1st buyers this is your bat!! Jacob C. Player
Pros: Everything you would want out of a Softball bat this is it & I had mine for 2-3 years now & still love to swing my bat everytime I use it!!! And I'm using a 34 inch 28 oz!
Cons: Nothing
Best Bat I've Ever Had for Men's Rec Slowpitch Ed Player
Pros: I'm 5'9" & 180lbs, I use the 34"/26oz version. When I put my best swing on the ball I drive it over OF's. I like the grip it comes with and the sound it makes on contact. Bought in 2020 for Summer & Fall league with same team. I can't blame my outs on the bat because that's due to my swing and how/where contact is made on the ball but I will say that I really enjoy swinging this bat.
Cons: As a product, I don't really have any problems with this bat at all. I can't blame my outs on the bat !
Bat Performance Adam Player
Pros: I purchased a 27oz Nautalai, I am a switch hitter, and I can tell you this bat is top of it's class. very great looking bat here with very little break in time. Once she's loose she's all over the field. Great pop, great line drives, and great connect spot. Nautalai makes it effortless to ring one over the fence without using so much power. The flex handle makes it more suitable and comfortable while swinging. This 2 piece composite barrel has a nice sound to it once you connect. overall great price, great service and great bats!
Cons: none!
Great pop decent bat Chase Player
Pros: Great pop Great balance but a slight endload feel
Cons: Chunk was missing out of the grip not the bats fault Long break in time
Sick bat Teresa Player
Pros: Hot right out of the wrapper. Never had an issue passing compression. My go to bat. Hearing the ball hit off the sweet spot .. I always have 2 of these in my bag.
Cons: None. Except the guys breaking my bat because they love it
Solid composite Jerry Player
Pros: Lots of pop out the wrapper. Got really hot after about 300 swings. Everyone on the team loves the bat.
Cons: Took half a season to really break in.
I didn’t like it at first but then... Will Player
Pros: I’ve had this bat for over a year. Bought it and wasn’t too thrilled at first. Felt like it was a dud so didn’t use it much. Bought a tee and hit a couple hundred more balls with it and I love it now. A previous review said this bat had no pop. That fella must have awful swing mechanics because this bat is great. I’m putting 52/300 and 44/275 over a 315 foot fence. May not seem like much but I’m 150lbs. I do have a god-like swing though but this bat has made those more consistent so don’t blame the bat. This is a good bat. I said my peace.
Cons: Your poorly executed swing because this bat is fire
Demarini Nautalai Balanced Gabe Cuevas Player
Pros: This bat is so underrated and it's the best kept secret of softball. Right out of the wrapper you begin to feel the true power behind it. Feels so smooth through the zone and absolutely crushes the ball. My top 5 USSSA bat no doubt. Mind you, I own a lot of softball bats and have swung over 4 dozen different type of bats.
Cons: None!
WOW Shjon Player
Pros: This bat is absolutely disgusting. I have one I bought with 50 swings on it. I have 230 swings max all 52 300s because in my rec league we use ASA balls but U trip rules and let me tell you I had it tested. It almost fails just hitting ASA balls. The pop is crazy classic Ms would mash off this bat especially with an experienced hitter
Cons: Fails fast
HOT Bat Ryan H Player
Pros: Easy to break in but not crazy hot out the wrapper, great composite "crack" sound, forgiving sweet spot. Balanced feel allows great control and swings very smooth (went with the 26 oz for a quicker swing weight). Did not disappoint. I got it in the last 4 weeks of my fall league last year and by the second week I was already hitting bombs with ease. With this price I might have to get a second one!
Cons: Not the best in cold weather (40 and below)
DeMarini Dud Ron Kuehl Player
Pros: Save your money.
Cons: Worst bat ever. Has no pop. Complete dud!!!! DeMarini gets an F- for this bat.
Nice bat Pat Player
Pros: less break in time, before you know it, you already hitting goners. One of the best bats I ever used.
Cons: Not good in cold weather.

About the Brand

In 1992, DeMarini Sports had something to celebrate. The three-year-old company had climbed a rung on the proverbial ladder of success, moving its world headquarters from a dirt-floored barn to a slightly larger metal shack. "It was a big move for us," recalled Ray DeMarini from the batting cage of DeMarini Sport’s present-day Bat Industrial Complex. "The new shop was larger, more storm resistant, and -best of all- it had a heater."
In the early days, DeMarini Sports hardly made a blip on the radar screen of softball. With no retailers and virtually no advertising budget, DeMarini grew steadily by selling high-performance bats directly to customers. While established companies made "juiced" bats for the pros and ordinary bats for the public, DeMarini focused on making one line of high-performance bats for pros and amateurs alike. This approach, combined with a passion for the sport, led to the greatest innovation in softball history - the world’s first multi-wall bat: the DeMarini Doublewall.
Released in 1993, the DeMarini Doublewall was the world’s first multi-wall bat. Like a modern golf driver or oversized tennis racket, the Doublewall had a giant "sweetspot," which allowed average players to hit like pros. DeMarini’s sales exploded, and before long opposing bat manufacturers to notice. DeMarini - a homegrown company led by a softball fanatic - had shaken the establishment silly.
To understand the rise of the DeMarini Dynasty, you need to know Ray DeMarini. A cult hero among avid players, Ray DeMarini emerged on the professional softball scene at the age of 40, a veritable geriatric among younger players. With a scientific approach to training, a batting speed of 96 miles-per-hour and a bombastic attitude, DeMarini fast earned a reputation as a savage competitor.
In June of 1987, ESPN launched a nationwide search for a hardcore player to advise on a series of instructional softball videos. When approached by producer Erich Lytle, the biggest boys in softball repeatedly spoke of a five-foot-seven softball giant—Ray DeMarini. DeMarini had mastered reflex hitting, a technique that drops the ball squarely between the infield and outfield. Impressed with DeMarini's knowledge and scientific approach to training, Lytle not only hired Ray as an advisor—he hired him as the host. Together, they produced Ray DeMarini's Reflex Hitting System, ESPN's most successful home video to date.
Having garnered national recognition through ESPN, Ray turned his efforts toward designing a high-performance bat for the masses. To accomplish this, he needed an engineer. "Not just an engineer," he said, "but a boot-strapping rocket scientist who could build an empire with pocket change." Ray's call was answered by Mike Eggiman. Having grown up on a farm, Eggiman was adept at making the most of a situation. Case in point: the company's first piece of automated bat-making equipment had the heart of an abandoned washing machine.
With Eggiman as Chief Engineer, DeMarini Sports delivered a series of industry firsts: the first multi-wall bat (Doublewall Distance), the first high-performance bat for massive players (Fatboy) and the first high-performance youth bat (Black Coyote).
In 2000, DeMarini joined forces with Wilson Sporting Goods to develop the next generation of hitting technology. Ray believed it was a perfect fit, as both companies shared a vision of developing game-enhancing equipment for avid players. What’s more, the companies had complimentary products: Wilson was the leader in gloves, balls and protective gear, while DeMarini made the world’s finest bats. According to Chris Considine, Vice President/General Manager of Wilson Sporting Goods: "The thing that struck me most about DeMarini was their passion for sports and their true competitiveness.
Within a year, DeMarini unveiled the industry’s first concept bat, the $35,000 F1. Secured under lock and key at the DeMarini Bat Industrial Complex in Hillsboro, Oregon, the F1 served as a technological storehouse for future products, including DeMarini’s landmark Half & Half system.
In December 2001, 12 years after the genesis of DeMarini Sports, Ray DeMarini died of cancer in his Northwest Portland home. He was 55. The next summer, the Portland Metro Softball Association paid homage to the “King of Softball” with the dedication of Ray DeMarini Field. Formerly known as Delta #1, the field was DeMarini’s favorite place to test bats during the early days of business. Ray DeMarini—bat maker and player extraordinaire—was remembered for his high-performance softball bats and unwavering encouragement of everyday players. Today, a 40-foot sign announcing RAY DEMARINI FIELD graces the outfield, and an interpretive display chronicling Ray’s life greets players as they register for games.
More "Insane Dedication to Performance" is in store for tomorrow.
