If you can handle the -10 model, it will have a bit more power simply because you would be swinging a slightly heavier bat and have more mass at the point of contact. The weight of the bat would determine mostly on the strength of the player, along with their size.

With the 2020 Combat B2 ATB -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B210, there will be a very small difference in barrel size between the drop 10 and drop 11, but not enough to change the performance of the bat.

What is the difference between this bat and the new Easton Maxum 360? I am looking for a 28 inch drop 10 with the lowest possible actual weight and swing weight. Wondering what actual weight will be on the 28". My son currently swings an Easton USSSA Ghost Hyperlite 27/15. He's very skilled but small. He grew a couple inches and gained about 10 lbs from last year so I'd like to move up to a 28" bat while keeping the weight jump minimal. Bill
Both the COMBAT B2 ATB -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B210 and the Easton MAXUM 360 are one-piece composite bats with balanced swing weights. The barrel profiles are similar as well with the MAXUM featuring a slightly more extended barrel. This should make the bat feel slightly more balanced when compared to the COMBAT B2. As for actual weight of the bat, the MAXUMs are almost spot on with regards to listed weight (within about a 0.3 ounce range) while we do not have any data yet on the B2 models.

The COMBAT B2 ATB -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B210 and the Easton Maxum 360 -10 are going to be very similar to each other. Both will have the large 2 3/4 barrel diameter allowing for a much bigger sweet spot. Both are also a one piece composite construction and have a balanced swing weight. The only difference we have seen has been that the Combat is a little more balanced than the Maxum, but that won't affect the performance of either bat.

Bill and Neil asked a question on what’s the difference between the 2020 B2 Combat and the Maxum. Experts Cameron and Ben said exactly opposite answers to one thing. One said Maxum felt more balanced while the other said the Combat has a better feel of balance. So, which is correct answer? Brent
The swing weight feel of a bat is more personal opinion. To put this into context, when weighing a 30 inch 20 ounce of the COMBAT B2 ATB -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B210 and the Easton MAXUM 360 -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20MX10, these bats came in at 20.4 and 20.2 ounces respectively. Thus, it would not be surprising to hear two different opinions on this.

This 2020 COMBAT B2 ATB -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B210 and the 2020 Easton MAXUM 360 -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20MX10 are going to be very similar. Both being a one-piece composite, and since Combat was recently bought by Easton. There will still be differences in composite construction and the end cap, but essentially they will be very similar bats. Being one-piece bats there will be more vibration compared to a two-piece.

Just bought this bat. After a few swings off the tee, we noticed that there are pieces of the bat that have "broken off" inside the bat that we can hear. Is this normal? Greg Sharrock
The sound emanating from inside of the barrel on the COMBAT B2 ATB -10 USSSA Baseball Bat: SL20B210 would be the result of small particles of resin coming loose. This most likely results in a pebbles or sand like sound inside the bat. Composite bats experience this sound more frequently than alloy bats as resin is used not only to secure the end cap but to also fuse the layers of composite on the barrel. It does not impact performance or durability.
