Arm your rising middle school or high school slugger with the tools to walk it off this season. Louisville's Omaha bat is crafted from a single piece of aluminum and is BBCOR certified for use from junior/senior league divisions of little league straight up through college. This Omaha model is available in a range of sizes from 29 to 34 inches and the -3 drop weight allows plenty of room for your athlete to grow into their game. With a sleek grey, blue and black colorway, this bat has a modern style with an understated look that will keep all where they belong — your batter's performance.

Bat Benefits

Louisville Slugger crafts this bat with their state-of-the-art MX 7U1+ premium aluminum alloy for ultralight performance that will take a beating for years to come. It offers improved stiffness and energy transfer on contact for an exceptional feel off the barrel. The handle also contributes to this bat's comfort using a premium Vibex vibration-dampening handle. The one-piece handle minimizes unwanted vibrations that can leave hands stinging with off-center contact.

This bat's 2.63" barrel is optimized for slugging power with a carefully balanced center of gravity based on length. Louisville has included their 6-Star premium end cap to boost energy transfer into the ball and provide a high-end feel that's unmistakable in the sweet spot. The handle is finished with an MLB-grade LS Pro Comfort grip for exceptional comfort and tack throughout the swing.

Warranty

Louisville Slugger covers this bat with a one-year limited warranty starting on the date of your purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship as well as damage from normal field use including severe denting, structural cracks and broken end caps and knobs.

LS OMAHA Ryan Gehrke Player

Pros: well balanced. can compare the swing weight to the prime or the voodoo 2 piece. I got this bat in a 33 inch. Its desinged to be end-loaded in 33 and 34 but it really is not end-loaded. But it still works great for power hitter. I think it is better than the Solo. the new easton fuze one-piece will rival it but this is still a great bat. tons of pop adn load sound velo and cat. probaly a top5 bbcor bat.

Cons: none

Okay bat for the price Caleb Clausen Player

Pros: This bat, when hit towards the end, feels really good. The sweet spot isn’t all that big, but when barreled, the ball flies and feels good. I have had this bat for two years and I have not noticed any durability issues.

Cons: Sweet spot is towards the end of the bat, so getting jammed does not feel pleasant. If you are late on a pitch at all and get busted inside, good luck.

Son is so happy...which is hard for a teenager Ashley Cole Parent

Pros: I got this particular bat because it had the right specs and was cheaper than composite. Didn't want to drop that much if he doesn't make the team but he needs practice with the weight. He loves it. Barely any vibration, he feels the power in his hit and its just over all awesome.

Cons: Nothing with the bat, just wasn't the exact one he wanted.

LS Omaha Stephen Player

Pros: Good pop for the money. Insanely light swing weight in the 32. Extremely easy to get through the zone.

Cons: Stock grip was not very thick, and had no grip. To fix that. I wrapped a lizard skin on top of the stock grip. It does sting on the hands sometimes but it’s very manageable considering I don’t wear gloves.

About the Brand

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
