Sniper of a bat Daniel Sturwold Coach

Pros: The ball Explodes off of the large barrel. Balanced with no vibration.

Cons: The sound the bats makes takes some time getting use to. The handle could have a taper.

Would not recommend Kurt Parent

Pros: The bat is extremely nice to look at but that is about it!

Cons: This bat had little to no pop and had no specific sweet spot what so ever! The concept of the soft outer shell is great but does not work as described or designed to say the least.

Solid over looked bat Cole Player

Pros: Balanced light swing. Hardly any vibration. Easily compares with other top level bats. Doesn't have an annoying PING!!!! Just like any top level BBCOR, if you square it up the ball flies

Cons: Once you get one everyone on the team wants to use it and mess play with the foam covered barrel. It is like a flame for a moth. Grip isn't the best.

High Tech low power and searching for Sweet Spot! Based on 3 games Player

Pros: Sub $100 price tag and this bat is best in class for what you are paying for! Great feel and has a nice stiffness that high end bats with power provide

Cons: Based on pop - not great! Better than expected feel when driving the ball. Small sweet spot for a high tech bat.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Mizuno MAXCOR Carbon BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB19MC? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

(1) Difference between this bat and the Mizuno BBCOR Carbon - 3 (the yellow and white one)? (2) What is best for power hitters between those two bats? George
(1) The big difference between this Mizuno MAXCOR Carbon BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB19MC) and the Mizuno Power Carbon BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB19MPC) will be that this MAXCOR Carbon is a two-piece, all-composite bat while the Power Carbon is a one-piece, all-composite design. (2) It is my observation that a lot of power hitters prefer the one-piece design as they feel that all the power they put into their swing is transferred into the ball at contact.
Ben
You say the MAXCOR carbon is a fully composite bat but the feature says it is a hybrid. Also says the barrel is a HotMetal alloy with a VP sleeve that compresses. The Mizuno Power Carbon states that it is fully composite. I'm confused on the terminology and which bat has the best pop. Joe
Pop will be nearly identical between the two bats, since the BBCOR standard regulates the amount of pop that is allowed, and Mizuno designed both bats to perform to the limit of what is allowed. The terms "HotMetal" and "VP Sleeve" are what Mizuno uses to describe the technology used in their bat. Basically these bats have a solid core with a compression sleeve of sorts that makes up the barrel of the bat. Both bats are fully composite in nature. The MAXCOR also has Hybrid listed due to the bit of alloy/metal inside the barrel, although the hitting surface is considered composite. The MAXCOR is also a two-piece design, whereas the Power Carbon is a one-piece.
