Description
New for the season! The 'Glowstick' from Rawlings is back and bright as ever. The Quatro baseball bat made such an impact during its debut season that Rawlings has decided to bring it back for a second go around. They've pushed the standards of baseball bats to new levels and bat technology to never before seen performance levels that outshine the competition (pun intended). Performance, flex, balance, and ball flight are just a few of the features that the Rawlings Quatro is sure to enhance during each and every at-bat. If you're a contact hitter who can handle a longer barrel, the Quatro is a perfect fit for you. While it does have an extended barrel construction for more plate coverage, a newly designed lightweight end cap reduces unnecessary weight towards the end of the barrel which helps increase overall swing speed and control through the zone. On top of that, the patented hinge system delivers focused flex, which helps hitters swing through the ball and generate unbelievable pop. Yet again, Rawlings is peeling back the curtains, so to speak, and displaying the carbon fiber composite barrel insides through the Tru-View Technology. Between the composite barrel and handle is Rawlings' Vibration Dampening Technology (VDT), also known as the 'Quatro Collar,' which is a silicone-infused collar that eliminates sting in the hands and provides an incredibly smooth feel at impact. The best part? Each one of these Rawlings Quatro baseball bats are made with pride in the USA (patent pending). Rawlings: Above The Standard!
This Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8Q3) features a standard 2 5/8-inch barrel diameter, a drop 3 length to weight ratio, and the BBCOR certification sticker across the taper for high school and collegiate approval. With feedback from their collegiate advisory staff, Rawlings is positive that the Quatro BBCOR bat will be a home run for whoever decides to use it. Get ready to crush the next pitch thrown your way and buy one of these Rawlings baseball bats today with free shipping and a full twelve (12) month manufacturer's warranty period! Pros: Yo, the quatro is insane. Crazy pop. No sting. Looks fresh to death.
Cons: Kinda end loaded. Everybody wants to steal my bat.
Pros: My son loves this bat. It has plenty of pop and feels great.
Cons: Pricey but in the price range of any good NEW bat. Don't be stingy supply your kid with the best equipment possible.
Pros: This bat has good balance and pop. Good quality no problems after 100+ swings at batting practice. Rawlings has an excellent bat when they started making the Quatro. I'm not a fan of the VELO but the Quatro is a totally different feel, sound, etc.
Cons: Little pricey but it was worth it.
Pros: Bat is hot out of the wrapper. My son is a sophomore in high school and hit several over the fence and sprayed hard line drives in the gaps.
Cons: We have had this bat for 3 weeks and my son came home from practice with a crack in the sweet spot of the barrel. Kind of sad to pay $399 for a bat and it cracks within a month. Gonna send it off for a replacement bat but should not have to since we have had the bat for less than a month. Hopefully the replacement will last a bit longer but not very hopeful it will. I definitely would not buy this model again.
Pros: great pop good fell perfect bat for a power hitter
Cons: everyone uses it
Pros: I got this bat in July to prepare fir high school ball, and it absolutely popped off the bat from my first hit to my last. Quatro is the way to go it has the most than any other bat
Cons: nothing the bat is compeltely balanced
Pros: excellent pop and a great feel
Cons: nun
Pros: great bat in general rediculous amount of pop and balanced end weight this is the best baseball bat i've ever swung hands down!!
Cons: i bought like 2 of these but the reason why i did was because it doesn't break very easily and when it breaks it stinks my bat exploded on contact. The price is a little too high for a bat that is very brittle.
Pros: It has insane pop and feels great defiantly recommend
Cons: none
Pros: Ball bounces off the bat with crazy speed and feels great.
Cons: Cracked 3 months later
Pros: The bat does have pop
Cons: I bought the bat August 1, 2017. I had to send it back to Rawlings on October 28, 2017 because the knob pin came out and cut my son during BP. (Which I had to pay the shipping) They fixed the knob pin and shipped it back to me. Today is February 21, 2018 and the bat broke during BP. Which means that I will have to pay to ship it back to Rawlings again to have the bat replaced. For this kind of money they should deliver a higher quality product.
Pros: Very Good pop Very Good balance
Cons: There is design flaw in the collar, it fell off the first week my son stated using it, the adhesive they used was not durable. Waiting 3 weeks to get the bat back from Rawlings. High school season will be over by the time I get it back.
Pros: has a really good feel no sting has a huge barrel for boms play select bal I hit one over on a 400 foot field I recommend u get this bat.l
Cons: the grip at first hurt my hands but when u put lizard skin on that baby it feels so good
Pros: Major pop for an end-loaded bat!
Cons: Busted 2 of these this year! Original lasted 3 months until the end cap flew off and replacement shattered after a week. If you've got crazy money then have at it! if you expect a $400 bat to last for a full season, be cautious. A teammate had his shatter the same week as mine did (both 2018 Quatro 32/29 BBCOR) and neither of ours were even broken in yet (both less than a couple of weeks old). Something is wrong with that!
Pros: Excellent pop!
Cons: Pin that holds the ring in place which connects the knob to the bat comes out too easily. Doesn't last long. Poorly designed.
Pros: Bought this bat for my son, he loves it and is very happy with it. On base % has went up
Cons: The bat has became the teams community bat??
Pros: Great pop and feels great. Very balanced.
Cons: first the knob pin came out and I had to pay for shipping to send it back to them. Then the bat cracked and I am having to pay for shipping again to send it back the them.
Pros: My son, 13, 8th grade, loves the bat. I think the price is very high. I'm concerned about how long it will last based on other reviews. He's very picky about athletic gear and he loves it.
Cons: Price Questionable durability
Pros: good bat for about two months
Cons: If you dont live in florida and play baseball in 70 degree weather then the bat will crack, saw it happen six times with teammates bat.
Pros: has great pop good feel
Cons: bat is not durable. bought one for my son who is 6ft tall 245pound. cracked it in a game, sent it back rawling sent me a new one. which was nice. three months later it cracked again!so i again sent it back, rawlings again sent me a new one.but this time on the bat they sent me it was etched no warranty. mind you my son only used this bat in games as he uses a wood bat for all his cage work. if your going to spend 400 dollars on a bat it should be durable
Pros: My son just played his first tournament of the season using his Quatro drop 3. He loves this bat. Tremendous pop. A lot of his teammates use it now. Can't rate the durability because he hasn't had it long enough. Gave it a 5, cuz everything else bout the bat is great
Cons: none
Pros: My son who plays high school baseball likes the bat. Good pop and balance.
Cons: We have gone through three of these bats and they keep breaking. We are using it properly and not hitting in cold temperatures. But the bat seems to have a short lifespan when it is used regularly.
Pros: When in working order, it was the preferred bat of choice between if and the Voodoo.
Cons: After less than a month of use during the high school season, (5-7 games) the bat snapped at the handle on a swing - no contact. The bat broke before the inner alloy began to taper up from the handle through the barrel. There seems to be a serious design defect considering the number of people who have reported similar durability issues. I have contacted Rawlings to initiate a return request. I hope that Rawlings follows through with their warranty program and replaces the bat.
Pros: Good Feel Great Pop
Cons: Two different bats broke in a span of 3 months
Pros: none
Cons: The warranty is from Miken. 23 days and still no bat!! Dont buy! Now its coming and they require a signature. We work and Fed Ex delivers at 10am. Dont buy this BAT!!!
Pros: Good pop.
Cons: Went through three 2017 Rawlings Quatro bats in less than a year and a half. Got a Rawlings 2018 as one of the replacements and it broke in the second at bat of use. I will never buy Rawlings again! I got 4 months of use out of a $350 investement.
Pros: * Nice Pop * Balanced Bat for contact and power hitters
Cons: * Have to see about durabilty.
Pros: Pop is very good
Cons: Not durable at all. Bat cracked in less than 30 days from the time of purchase.
Pros: Bat has great pop! light swing, easy to get around. ball flys off the barrel!!!
Cons: price
Pros: this bat is hot right out of the box. My son has used several different composite bats and this has had the most pop by far. it has a good balanced feel to it and swings lighter than it is. We were a little worried after all of the reviews about its durabilility but so far after around 800 swings we have had no issues.
Cons: None so far
Pros: Best bbcor on the market. Light weight outstanding pop!!
Cons: None
Pros: Great pop out of the wrapper.
Cons: None
Pros: Can't beat the price. Pretty hot out of the wrapper. Will be even hotter after breaking in. Great sound for a composite. Good size barrel. Balanced bat. No vibrations.
Cons: Would prefer a thicker handle. You could always build it up with masking tape and re-grip. Durability is my only question. I've heard instances of this bat breaking.
Pros: OUTSTANDING POP. BALL JUMPS OFF BAT AND FEELS VERY BALANCED . BETTER THAN 2019 MODEL
Cons: SORRY THIS BAT WAS DISCONTINUED
Pros: Great pop
Cons: N/a
Pros: Tons of pop trebles smooth the the zone I have zero complaints with this bat
Cons: Nine
Pros: Lots of POP out of wrapper. Balanced. Like the grip and feel of handle. I have tested this bat vs the 2019 Quatro and believe this one is better. I have a 32" and got a 33" this month because they don't make them anymore like this
Cons: Original cost, but its on sale now. They save it cracks but I take care of my bats and have not had a problem.
Pros: Insane amount of pop
Cons: None
Pros: Great pop. Great light feel.
Cons: Knob popped off after 2 hits off the tee!!!
Pros: it was good for one year. Great pop
Cons: Broke in half after one year of use.
Pros: Feel and Durability. We used this bat in the cage for 4 months 4 to 5 times a week as a team bat and it has become most of the boy's favorite bat.
Cons: Paint came off on the barrel.
Pros: My son loves the pop and feel of the bat.
Cons: He has only been able to make it through half a season before it breaks/cracks at the barrel. Currently on his 3rd but bought a 4th because I anticipate it breaking as well.
Pros: Great pop and feel
Cons: Cracked within two days. This is second one I had and both cracked. Rawlings will send another one but guess what bet I have same problem. Very brittle bats. Buy something else for the money
Pros: Thin handle
Cons: Purchased a GLOWSTICK, broke in as usual, fractured first varsity game. Purchased another, another fracture after two days in first varsity game. Will NEVER purchase another composite from Rawlings!
Pros: Awesome Bat for short period we had it! My son loved it!
Cons: Cracked after 2 weeks!
Pros: Great pop and the more you hit it the hotter it gets
Cons: Durability is really not as good as most other bats
Pros: Hot out of box. Our son loves this bat. Most of his team does too!
Cons: Been through 2 of them this school season. First one was a year + old, broke at handle. Second one, shattered at barrel. Lasted 45days. So far this new one still going! No issues on replacement, in fact Rawlings shipped New 2019 before recieving broken one.
Pros: Great out of the box
Cons: Second new bat of five on our team that failed in the first half of the season. It’s a dud.
Pros: I'm 15 and 150 pounds, so im really not that big of a kid. The bat is amazing tho, TONS of pop. Even tho i'm not big I was still hitting the ball 300+ feet. I ended my first year of high school baseball batting .510 with 22 hits. The bat was great.
Cons: Bat started to loose its pop and its sound towards the end of the season. I had to use my friends brand new quatro on the last 2 games of the season.
Pros: Great pop. Good bat if you don't mind product not lasting.
Cons: Bat will not last. Honestly know 8 people with this bat. All but one has broke.
Pros: Look good
Cons: Bought 2 bats, Didn't use when temp below 60 degrees. both bats split in half in the middle of composite section 33/30 by a 150 pound 15 year old. Customer service could care less. SENT THEM PICTURES Save your money and with another brand.
Pros: Pop is unreal.
Cons: I hope this bat doesn’t break.
Pros: Bat has great swing weight, and has a great feel, and as a two piece composite, it has a very forgiving barrel. I don’t think any other bat is this light, has as good of a sweet spot, and this much pop all at the same time, making this an all time great
Cons: Extremely breakable, and doesn’t last more than a couple hundred pitches. Take a couple dozen swings to break it in if it’s new, and then only use it in games.

About the Brand
Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.
The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.
In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.
In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.
The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.
Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
