Pros: Yo, the quatro is insane. Crazy pop. No sting. Looks fresh to death.
Cons: Kinda end loaded. Everybody wants to steal my bat.
2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3
It has insane pop and feels great defiantly recommend
great bat in general rediculous amount of pop and balanced end weight this is the best baseball bat i've ever swung hands down
Pros: Yo, the quatro is insane. Crazy pop. No sting. Looks fresh to death.
Cons: Kinda end loaded. Everybody wants to steal my bat.
Pros: My son loves this bat. It has plenty of pop and feels great.
Cons: Pricey but in the price range of any good NEW bat. Don't be stingy supply your kid with the best equipment possible.
Pros: This bat has good balance and pop. Good quality no problems after 100+ swings at batting practice. Rawlings has an excellent bat when they started making the Quatro. I'm not a fan of the VELO but the Quatro is a totally different feel, sound, etc.
Cons: Little pricey but it was worth it.
Pros: Bat is hot out of the wrapper. My son is a sophomore in high school and hit several over the fence and sprayed hard line drives in the gaps.
Cons: We have had this bat for 3 weeks and my son came home from practice with a crack in the sweet spot of the barrel. Kind of sad to pay $399 for a bat and it cracks within a month. Gonna send it off for a replacement bat but should not have to since we have had the bat for less than a month. Hopefully the replacement will last a bit longer but not very hopeful it will. I definitely would not buy this model again.
Pros: great pop good fell perfect bat for a power hitter
Cons: everyone uses it
Pros: I got this bat in July to prepare fir high school ball, and it absolutely popped off the bat from my first hit to my last. Quatro is the way to go it has the most than any other bat
Cons: nothing the bat is compeltely balanced
Pros: excellent pop and a great feel
Pros: great bat in general rediculous amount of pop and balanced end weight this is the best baseball bat i've ever swung hands down!!
Cons: i bought like 2 of these but the reason why i did was because it doesn't break very easily and when it breaks it stinks my bat exploded on contact. The price is a little too high for a bat that is very brittle.
Pros: It has insane pop and feels great defiantly recommend
Pros: Ball bounces off the bat with crazy speed and feels great.
Cons: Cracked 3 months later
Pros: The bat does have pop
Cons: I bought the bat August 1, 2017. I had to send it back to Rawlings on October 28, 2017 because the knob pin came out and cut my son during BP. (Which I had to pay the shipping) They fixed the knob pin and shipped it back to me. Today is February 21, 2018 and the bat broke during BP. Which means that I will have to pay to ship it back to Rawlings again to have the bat replaced. For this kind of money they should deliver a higher quality product.
Pros: Very Good pop Very Good balance
Cons: There is design flaw in the collar, it fell off the first week my son stated using it, the adhesive they used was not durable. Waiting 3 weeks to get the bat back from Rawlings. High school season will be over by the time I get it back.

Is this a USA bat?
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 is a BBCOR bat, not a USA bat.
Does the 2018 Quatro need to be "worked in" before swinging at full strength?
Yes, we would recommend a break-in period for the Quatro just like any other composite bat. Generally 100-200 swings off a tee or soft toss is what we recommend.
Will this bat ever be made in a 31 inch?
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 is not made in a 31" 28 oz. size.
How does this bat compare to the Orange 2015 Easton XL1. My son is a freshman in HS and has played travel ball since he was nine. Is currently using the 2015 Easton XL1 and hits bombs with it. He is 5'9" 160lbs and is using a 32/29.
The 2015 Easton XL1 was a USSSA bat while the 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 is a BBCOR certified bat, thus the XL1 is naturally going to be a higher performing bat because of the regulations on each. However, the Quatro is a balanced bat which should provide an increase in bat control through the zone compared to the end-loaded XL1.
I'm 5'8" and 170 lbs. What size would you recommend?

This 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat (BB8Q3) is very similar to the 2017 Quatro as both bats feature the Carbon Fiber Composite Barrel and the Quatro Collar that absorbs & eliminates any negative vibration. The biggest difference will be the slight cosmetic difference between the 2 bats.

How does this bat compare to the LS Prime 918 as far as balance?
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR baseball bat (BB8Q3) and the 2018 Louisville Slugger Prime 918 BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTLBBP918B3) are both well balanced.
If you were buying a new composite bat for a high school player, if you were between the 2018 Rawlings Quatro or the 2017 DeMarini CF Zen. Your personal opinion as well as your colleagues opinions are also appreciated.
They're both great bats, they both have a light weight end cap allowing for better weight distribution and a more balanced feeling. The Quatro is a four piece composite allowing it to have better sting reduction than the CF Zen. But what the Zen offers is better durability with the paraflex composite. However, both bats have a 12 month warranty. Performance will be very similar due to the composite material, the decision would really be decided on what bat you like and what each bat offers over the other.
What is the warranty policy on this bat? I've read many reviews of the 2017 model that talks about it breaking. If the bat breaks will it be replaced? What if the replacement breaks?
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 comes with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty.

Which Rawlings bat do you recommend for a 10 year old little league player?
I would recommend the 2018 Rawlings Quatro -10 USA Baseball Bat: US8Q10 for a 10 year old Little League Baseball Player.
What's the difference between this model and last years?
The main difference in the 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 and the 2017 model is a newly designed end cap that reduces the swing weight, giving the hitter more control of the bat.
I'm 6'2", 190 and hit for power. Would you recommend this bat, the Rawlings VELO, or the Louisville Slugger Prime 918?
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 and the LS Prime 918 are similar in that they are both fully composite bats with balanced swing weights while the Rawlings VELO is a one-piece alloy bat with a balanced swing weight. All three bats would make great choices for someone who is a power hitter. Based on your height and weight we would recommend getting one of these bats in either a 33 or 34 inch model.
Is this BBCOR made in a 30/27?
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB8Q3 is not made in a 30" 27 oz. size.
What kind of hitter is this bat meant for? In the Rawlings video it says middle of the line up hitters. What exactly do they mean by this?

Out of all the new rawlings bats which would be the best bat for a power hitter? I am a freshmen in college and I am 6'0", 255 pounds.
