Q&A: Adam Kopley, Wilson's Global Commercial Manager of Bats

As Commercial Manager of Bats for Wilson Sporting Goods Company -- a company that owns and operates Wilson, DeMarini, and Louisville Slugger -- Adam Kopley is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining category initiatives to achieve brand objectives.

Put more precisely, Kopley gets to play with baseball bats, softball bats, and gloves from the industry's top brands. Pretty cool, right?

Recently, JustBats.com had the opportunity to discuss some bat-related topics with Kopley.

How did you get started with DeMarini?

I worked with DeMarini from the other side of the fence, as a buyer for baseball specialty store in Atlanta, Georgia. Eventually, I was ready to make a move to the Big Leagues.

What -- in your opinion -- makes DeMarini a leader in bats?

What enhancements to bats is DeMarini working on for the future versions?

We are focusing on enhancing balance and feel. From new grips to revamped connection pieces, we are doing our best to create the best feeling and performing bat on the market.

Which -- in your opinion -- are the best bats?

There is no doubt in my mind that our CF line is the best performing option on the market for both BBCOR and Senior League.

What's your favorite part about working with JustBats.com?

What's something about DeMarini (or yourself) that people may not know?
