Bat Spotlight: 2017 Rawlings Quatro

Baseball Bat aficionados are already buzzing--and salivating--over the anticipated 2016 release of the 2017 Rawlings Quatro. Alas, it is not available to the public yet. Rawlings has spent time crafting its latest release, which has already being billed as the "Glowstick" in the baseball bat industry.

While Rawlings is keeping Rawlings Quatro information close to the vest, here are some things JustBats has learned:

• The Quatro receives its name, because it will use four parts of the bat.
• Naturally, the Quatro will feature a fourth piece, which Rawlings is keeping a secret until the release.

• It will be a full composite bat, which is a departure from the alloy in the TRIO and 5150.
• It's referred to as the Glowstick, because of its highlighter, bright yellow color.
• The Quatro is expected to have a BBCOR model (which has been spotted in this year's NCAA College Baseball Regionals), as well as models for other categories--such as Senior League.

• The Quatro will have a flared knob with a bright yellow bat grip on the bottom hand.
• The Quatro will be available for pre-order on JustBats on July 1 and the release date/lauch date is scheduled for August 1.
