The last few weeks have been a trying time not only for Americans but for citizens of the entire world. Sports are certainly secondary right now, but we don’t want to forget about sports and the joy they bring us!
At JustBats, we want all our fans and customers to take part in finding creative ways to keep training for the upcoming season while staying in their homes and backyards. JustBats will be here for everyone along the way posting some videos that provide tips for training at home.
However, we wanted to help out with providing some different, baseball-and-softball inspired ways that you can pass the time while you’re at home:
Bat Dog, Anyone?
Are you looking for a new trick for your lovable pooch?
Train your dog to pick up the lumber after your team’s at-bats this season. We’re not sure if the local sports complex will allow the dog into the park, but a bat dog would certainly be the talk of the local Little League . Baseball + Dogs = The Best.
Trophy Christmas Ornaments
Tired of those same old ornaments hanging on your tree each December?
Well, I bet you have a great collection of baseball and softball trophies somewhere in your home. Those plastic ball players atop the trophies do look excellent in their current state. However, envision those little ball players removed from their base and hanging from an evergreen this upcoming holiday season. They will certainly make the season jolly!
Thanks to William Mattox for the inspiration behind this idea.
Seniors...Keep Dreaming!
Final seasons everywhere were cut short this spring and lots of memories were left out there on the field.
If your spikes got hung up for the final time, slow pitch softball still exists. Play with friends and enjoy yourself. However, if you’re more competitive, glory could be awaiting! Professional slow pitch circuits exist along with national teams and even Hall of Fames! Get swinging today !
Prepare For An Encore Career
What’s better than a world-class athlete? A world-class athlete that can double as a music star.
With so many music genres out there, the possibilities are endless. If you are rougher on the edges, follow Brett Myers’ path. Brett followed up a 10+ year MLB pitching campaign with a country music career! However, many of you might be of a calmer palate. If so, take note of former New York Yankees center fielder, Bernie Williams. Bernie has made his splash in the Jazz community. Both Brett and Bernie were honing their musical skills while their baseball careers were in full swing!

Feel free to comment with any suggestions on other ways to pass the time with baseball while you’re at home over the next few weeks! JustBats is excited to hear about more ideas!
