Bat Review: 2017 Miken DC-41 Slow Pitch Softball Bat

Bat Review: 2017 Miken DC-41 Slow Pitch Softball Bat

Do you know Denny Crine?

For those of you who didn't know, before Crine became a slow pitch softball star, he was drafted in the 7th round by the Chicago White Sox back in 1994. When his baseball career ended, he took his talents to slow pitch softball. As a member of Team USA and a part of Miken Sports, Denny is a legend on the diamond. He has eight World Titles in softball, was awarded the ASA Major MVP trophy back in 2005, and has played all over the world. His statistics and impact on the game of slow pitch will forever be enshrined. Now, let's discuss the bat that has been there right by his side throughout it all, the DC-41.

When asked why he prefers to swing Miken, Denny Crine said, "Miken is by far the best product on the market!"

With Miken softball bats, you know that you'll have a high-quality product that is manufacturered with pride right here in the USA. For example, read about the Miken Freak Patriot.

The DC-41 embodies Miken's tradition and commitment to excellence through catchy cosmetics and industry leading innovation. Available in both USSSA and ASA models, there is an option for virtually any league and every player. While the two models are similar in performance and durability, the USSSA and ASA slow pitch softball bats each offer unique features. We're going to break them down below for you:

2017 Miken DC-41 Denny Crine SuperMax ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (MDC41A)

Now available in an ASA model, Denny Crine's famous softball bat is constructed with a unique, four-piece, fully composite design. It utilizes Miken's Tetra-Core technology that places a tube inside of the barrel to maximize the already massive sweet spot while improving the durability for season after season performance. This slow pitch bat is intended and recommended for power hitters who have experience swinging end loaded bats.

With a full one-ounce SuperMax load, you're guaranteed extra mass in the barrel for more distance and power in each swing with the ASA DC-41.

This model is approved for play in ASA only. So, please double check your rules and regulations before committing to a bat so that you're not buying a softball bat that isn't allowed in your League. Luckily, Miken also released a model that is approved for play in USSSA, NSA, and ISA.

A part of the Miken Signature Series, the DC-41 USSSA softball bat is constructed with the same material (100COMP) that the ASA model is so you know you're getting a durable, high-performing bat. But, the main difference is the fact that this model is a traditional two-piece design instead of a four-piece design. Easily one of the best USSSA softball bats available, the DC-41 comes with a wide variety of features.

Features on this bat include:

  • 14" Barrel Length For Maximum Plate Coverage
  • 2 1/4 Inch Barrel Diameter
  • Approved For Play In USSSA, NSA, & ISA
  • Flex 2 Power (F2P) Technology Optimizes Flex To Increase Swing Speed Through The Zone
  • Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty
  • Made In the USA
  • Revolutionary 100COMP Material Uses 100% Aerospace Grade Fibers To Deliver Unbeatable Performance
  • SuperMax Full Ounce End Load Perfect For Power Hitters
