Pros: This bat feels amazing in your hands. It helps you get through the zone quicker. This bat is best for your power hitters and also contact hitter. The best of both worlds.

Cons: Since this bat had a slight endload, i went down a size but this bat feels so light that you might wanna get a bigger size. Also your going to have to clean the grip after every game but who cares.

Pros: I was skeptical on trying this because i LOVED my friend's Air. This bat has what i think the same pop, but with a little more weight at the end. If you have power, this is the bat for you.

Cons: The grip wears down a tad quickly, but not a big difference.

Pros: Nice looks to it. When the ball hits the bat, it makes a nice sound. Works really well on/off the ball field. Has a comfortable grip. Good swing.

Cons: A bit heavy. This bat is more for the 60 and 90 foot fields. Takes a while to get around with the swing.

Would you recommend this bat over the white model? Is there any real difference?
Devon
Both the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype and the RIP-IT Prototype 2 both feature the same Tempered Ballistic Alloy construction so will be comparable as far a pop off the bat. Here is a link to further compare the two bats. http://www.justbats.com/compare/
Tom
First, how does the balance of this bat compare to the Prototype II? Lastly, why is this bat cheaper than than the older Prototype 2 model? Are the some differences?
Mr. Doubles
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR will be more balanced than the Prototype II. The prices are determined by the manufacture. The main difference is the swing weight.
Kara
The 2012 had a lot of problems with the bat denting and the end caps coming off. I had personal experiences with it as a coach of an 18U baseball team. Has RIP-IT addressed either of these with the new model?
Willyboy
The first batch of RIP-IT Prototype II BBCOR bats did have issues with the cap coming off and denting. RIP-IT has corrected these issues for a more durable RIP-IT Prototype.
Kara
Is this bat more balanced than the 2012 model?
DCDCDCDC
The manufacturer RIP-IT says that the new 2013 model of the Prototype is more balanced than the 2012 model.
Tom
Would you reccommend this to a power hitter?
thejaster
The 2013 RIP-IT BBCOR is a power-balanced one piece alloy and would be good for a power hitter.
Damon
Is this a good bat for someone who hits for power and can also hit for contact?
tco
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR features a power balanced swing weight that allows players to generate additional power while still staying in control of their swing.
Damon
For a power hitter, would you recommend this bat, or the Rawlings 5150 Velo?
Kyle
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR and the Rawlings 5150 Velo are balanced one-piece bats, perfect for a power hitter. Both are balanced and have excellent pop.
Kara
My son is 13 and moving up to u13 and has to have a -3 bat is there a differents from a adult and the youth bats.. Is it ok to by this bat for him?
Missy
All adult bats are -3 with a 2 5/8" barrel. Youth bats range from a -9 to a -13.5 and have a 2 1/4" barrel. If he needs a -3 bat, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 is a great option.
Tyler
What is the difference between this bat and the RIP-IT Prototype Air BBCOR?
AEL24
The Rip-It Prototype Air has a more balanced feel and lighter swing weight compared to the regular Rip-It Prototype.
Tyler
Last year the end caps kept falling off, was this problem fixed for this year's model and did it effect the bat's performance?
Horse
Yes. Rip-It fixed the endcap issue on the Prototype halfway through production with the 2012 model. A bat with a damaged endcap will not have the same amount of pop or durability.
Tyler
Besides price and color, how is this bat better than the 2012 Prototype II (white) bat?
JorgeC
According to Rip-It their 2013 Prototype bats have a slightly larger sweetspot than the 2012 model, but with the same great pop.
Tyler
Which bat is better this one or the new rip-it prototype air?
Joseph
That depends on the hitter. The Prototype Air has a lighter swing weight and would be great for a player with average to below average strength and swing speed. The regular Prototype has a slight endloaded feel and is better for a hitter with slightly above average to well above average strength and swing speed.
Tyler
Son is 15, 6'4" and 185 lbs and a power hitter. Is this bat better or should we consider the newer technology of the 2013 Prototype Air? He trains with MaxBat wood bats in the cage. Thanks.
Parker
The only difference between the regular Rip-It Prototype and the Prototype Air, is that the Air is more well balanced with a lighter swing weight. If your son is a power hitter with good swing speed, the regular Rip-It Prototype would be a great choice.
Tyler
Would this bat, the Marucci Team, or the 2013 Rawlings 5150 have the lightest swing weight?
YObRo
The Marucci Team and the Rawlings 5150 will be the more balanced on the three bats. The 2013 Rip-it Prototype BBCOR while more balanced than last years model will have more of an end load.
Damon
Will this bat be available in the Bat Packs in the near future?
Tim
Unfortunately, we cannot determine that the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR bat will be in a bat pack or not yet.
Noah
Will this bat have a lighter swing weight than the easton typhoon?
IDK
The Easton Typhoon with have a slightly lighter swing weight than the Rip-It Prototype.
Tyler
What is the difference between this and the Air? Is the difference going to be noticeable?
Joe
The RIP0-IT Air will be more balanced than the RIP-IT Prototype.
Kara
How balanced is this bat compared to the Marucci Team?
AEL#24
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR is more end loaded compared to the Marucci Team. The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR AIR will be balanced like the Marucci Team.
Nick
Is this bat balanced?
TheShow
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR is slightly end loaded. If you are looking for a balanced bat, I would recommend the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR AIR.
Nick
Does the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype have the same pop as the Prototype AIR?
Todd
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype and the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype AIR feature the same alloy so the pop will be the same in both bats. The main difference is that the Prototype AIR is designed to have a lighter swing weight.
Tom
Is this bat more balanced than the rawlings plasma?
Ben
In my opinion, the Rawlings Plasma is a bit more balanced than the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303.
Tyler

Kara
Can you use this bat in USSSA Baseball?
john
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult is legal for high school and college play. Since it is BBCOR certified, it is also legal for USSSA baseball.
Doug F.
Why would this bbcor bat not be usssa legal?
bo
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 is BBCOR certified and legal for USSSA play. The previous answer has been updated.
Tyler
Which bat has the larger sweet spot: RIP-IT Prototype or DeMarini CF5? When I lay them side by side, the CF5 appears to have wider barrel as it extends to the tapered handle? Does that affect size of sweet spot?
Mh
The wider barrel at the tapered handle will not affect the size of the sweet spot. The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult has a very good sweet spot.
Kara
Has the company fixed the problem with the end caps from last year?
tennvolfanatic
Yes. The manufacture has fixed the problem with the end caps on the Rip-It prototype BBCOR's.
Damon
MY SON IS MORE A CONTACT HITTER. HE IS 13YEARS OLD WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER RIP-IT FOR HIM?
DJM
If he has above average strength and swing speed, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 is recommended. If he has average to below average strength and swing speed, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR AIR: B1303A is recommended due to its more balanced design.
Tyler
Is this bat legal for 2013 bbcor regulations?
Johnny
Yes. The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 is a BBCOR certified bat.
Tyler
Does this bat have a better sweet spot with more pop than last year's prototype 2 bbcor?
matt
The 2103 RIP-IT Protoype BBCOR is very similar to the 2012 RIP-IT Prototype II in terms of the sweet spot and pop. Both bats are power balanced, meaning that they'll have more weight shifted toward the barrel.
Marcus
How does the balance of the B1303 compare to a full size 243 or 43 model wooden bat, which will feel closer to the weight balance of the wooden bat the regular Rip It or the Air? Like to switch between the wood & one of the Rip It bats without feeling any change in balance.
Tim
A wood 243 model will have a more end loaded feel due to the fact 243 models have a large barrel. The red Rip-It B1303 is going to have a closer weight balance to a 243 model and would be the correct choice for you. The Air model is a much more balanced bat and designed to increase a players swing speed.
Kara
What is the difference between this bat and the Prototype Air, and why is the price so different?
Dylan
The RIP-IT Prototype Air is going to be a lot more balanced than the RIP-IT Prototype. This is going to cause the price to go up on the very balanced models.
Noah
If I am a power hitter would this bat be better for me than the Prototype AIR?
Michael
Yes, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR will be better than the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR AIR because it will be less balanced, which is preferred by power hitters.
Noah
Is there a sizing chart available? My son used a 32" last year, and was wondering if he should move up to 33" this year?
Mick
Yes. Here is a link to the page that has a bat sizing chart: http://www.justbats.com/bat-resource-guide/selecting-a-baseballbat/
Tyler
Is it legal for USSSA baseball?
Rick
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult is an adult bat that is only BBCOR certified. You need to look at youth big barrel bats.
Noah
Is this bat more end heavy than the 2012 Demarini Voodoo?
Ben
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult is going to feel similar in weight distribution to the 2012 DeMarini Voodoo.
Marcus
Is this bat better than the 2013 Prototype Air?
Jarod R.
No, the 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult and the Prototype Air will be very similar in performance, but the Air is much more balanced.
Noah
How does the balance compare to the speed series lineup Easton has? Recommended for contact hitters?
Nick
The 2013 RIP-IT Adult will be comparable to the Easton S3. They are both one-piece alloy bats. The Easton S1 and Easton S2 will be two-piece bats which will add more flex to the swing being even better for contact hitters.
Chad M.
I am a power hitter that can hit for contact what would you recommend, the RIP-IT Prototype Air or the RIP-IT Prototype?
Powerzone
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult will be more for the power hitter. It will not feel as light as the RIP-IT Air and have a stiffer feel to it.
Chad M.
Why was this bat discontinued?
MSanchez
The 2013 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1303 Adult was replaced by the 2014 RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR: B1403 Adult. Both models use the same R1 alloy and have a slightly end loaded feel.
Kara
How does this bat compare to the 2012 Rip It Prototype PROBR; in terms of pop, end-load, and durability?
Youngsavage
The RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1303) will compare extremely well in all categories when compared to the RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (PROBR). It may have a slight bit better durability but the performance and feel should be similar.
