What is the difference between the Supermax and Balanced Psycho?
bacon
The 2015 Miken Psycho SuperMax ASA (SPSYMA) is the end loaded model. The SuperMax features a full one ounce end loaded weight. The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) will be a balanced model and not have any end loaded weight.
Patrick
Will this bat be legal for play in NSA games as well?
droppinbombswp
No, the 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) is only approved for ASA play.
Bobby
Looking to get a team bat. Can this be used by power hitters and contact hitters?
pinky4878
Yes, the 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) would be a great option for both a power hitter and contact hitter. If you had to choose a bat for both types of hitters, a one-piece balanced bat would be the way to go.
Justin R.
Does this bat hit the .44 COR or the .52 COR balls better?
pinky 4878
Anything with the new ASA stamp, including the 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) is designed to hit the new .52 COR balls.
Justin R.
Can the bat be used with .44 COR balls?
Cousin Karl
The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) Slow Pitch has the new ASA stamp and is designed to be used with the new .52 COR balls. The Psycho can be used with the .44 COR balls, but it will have durability issues.
Jason
What kind of durability issues are there with this bat using a .44 core ball?
pinky4878
The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA Slow Pitch) bat is made to hit the softer .52 core balls. It will still hit the .44 core ball exceptionally well. It's just that over the lifespan of the bat you may see increased denting, cracking, or even breaking versus the harder ball.
Brandon
What's the difference between the Miken Psycho (SPSYBA) and the Miken Psycho (SPSYBU)?
erick r.
Both bats are balanced, one-piece composite models, but the 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) is only approved for play in ASA while the (SPSYBU) is approved for play in USSSA, NSA, and ISA.
Mac
Would this bat work for a coed team, or will the ladies ball cause durability issues as well?
Stepper
The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA (SPSYBA) should be fine to use in a league where current ASA restricted balls are used. These balls would be .52 core 300 compression ratio balls.
Patrick
What is the difference between this bat, and the Miken Ultra 750X Balanced?
mikee
The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA: (SPSYBA) and the 2015 Miken Ultra 750X Balanced ASA: (UL75BA) will incorporate the same Premium Aerospace Grade Carbon Fiber and 750X HPTI Technology. These models will have a similar balanced feel, and overall, the biggest difference will primarily be cosmetics.
Merritt
How does this bat compare to the Miken Freak DST Maxload in the orange and the one in white?
Dionne
The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYBA) and Freak Maxload will perform similarly. They both will have great pop. This SPSYBA will feel much more balanced and easier to swing than the Freak Maxload. You bat speeds will also be quicker using the new 2015 Psycho Balanced ASA.
Brandon
Would you say this bat would be a better pick up if I had a choice between this and a 2004 Miken Freak Plus? I've never swung a newer model ASA bat. But I've heard the Freak does not hit the .52 core ball well.
MF3
The 2015 Miken Psycho Balanced ASA Slow Pitch Softball Bat (SPSYBA) will be made to hit the .52 core balls well. This bat will also be more durable versus the .52 core balls.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
