Pros: Exactly as anticipated. Started a bit slow out of the wrapper but is quickly starting to flex and see the ball fly. Great reliability with this bat - every Freak Plus I've owned has been a consistent producer. 370-feet is not impossible when broken in and hit well.
Cons: This may not be the hottest bat at its peak, but it has a longer peak than any bat I've hit with. Those willing to buy a bat for 30 elite swings, well, this isn't a bat for you. This one will last 2500-3000 swings if taken care of by the owner.
T.J. Newman
Pros: Just Purchased the Freak Plus, My buddy and I just went out to start breaking it in.. This Bat is awesome we didnt want to do full powerful swings until we broke it in so we were just doing like half swings.. (Not even joking) the ball was making it to the fence (350 ft.) after like one bounce (its half swings with no power) I so cannot wait to use it in the game tomorrow with full powerful swings!
Cons: None SO FAR!
WADE
Pros: Bat was pretty hot out of the wrapper!!! I have about 50 games on this bat and tons of batting practice... the more its hit the hotter it gets!!!! and you cant beat it for the price!
Cons: grip started comming off after one season... (nothing athletic tape cant fix)
James
Pros: Hot bat
Cons: Cracks easy, went through 4 of them in 2 seasons
The Ocho
Pros: Awesome pop, about 200 cuts later the sweet spots gets bigger, sounds goods and a nice handle grip. Mikens warranty.
Cons: Broke right at the handle before the season started, lame. I am getting the same bat under warranty.
CAM
Pros: Got that "POP" right out of the wrapper. It MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE. I was putting them at the warning track short of the fence before. The first night at practice I hit 3 over. Great Team Bat.
Cons: Took one off of the wrist pitching last week. Batter was using a Freak Plus. That ball came back at me at like mach 6. Also Not too effective for the line-drive base hitter type.
Big Mike
Pros: Ive owned the freak plus for over 6 yrs and will be finally upgrading to the new MV3. I am a bigtime power hitter and hit roughly 350+ homeruns. Last yr hit a HR on a 360 field and this thing still hits screamers. Just figured its time to retire her. Well over 2000 hits and still has monsterous pop. Great bat and wish I had another one waiting, but gonna try a new one.
Cons: Abosuletly none
Anonymous
Pros: Hits very strong right out of the wrapper. Most of the team is using it.
Cons: Haven't noticed any yet other than everyone on the team wanting to use it.
dcallado
Pros: This bat is simply awesome! I hit a home run at my very first at bat, and hit 2 more during my next game. Every single hit so far as been solid thanks to the huge sweet spot. Definitely recommended.
Cons: none so far
Damb
Pros: I've been buying softball bats for over 25 yrs. Have tried most all brands. None have given me the satisfaction that the Miken Freak Plus has. Miken in general seems to be the best brand for overall performance as well as durability. I do not think I will ever buy any other brand again. Has a full season of use and is just like it was out of the wrapper. Solid striking bat, even a miss hit travels
Cons: Everybody wants to use it.
lchat
Pros: I was in a league with very few bat restrictions, but all I had was Demarini White Steel. I went from hitting gap doubles, to absolutely crushing the ball. This bat was good to go out of the box, and it's just getting better. Highly recommend this bat to any serious softball player.
Cons:
mexifry08
Pros: I was looking for a bat and after reading all the testimonials on this bat I thought I would buy it and see what the rave is all about. All I can say is "WOW" and some of the home runs were just crazy far. All in the first night of play. The bat is for real. Thanks for all you that wrote in without the reviews i would never known how great this bat is.
Cons: none
Chip
Pros: 1st hit out of the wrapper was a tripple. Love it!
Cons:
Catalyst
Pros: Feels awesome, everytime I hit a ball it feels like I just hit an orange, the ball comes off this bat fast!!! hit my first 2 homeruns today, this bat is hot out of the wrapper.
Cons: none
Bim72
Pros: 100% Bomb Dropper.
Cons: Nil
Chad 3425
Pros: This bat is hot right out of the wrapper, 1st swing today was around the 320-330 range. using dudley thunder heats .44 core 375 comp. put about 100 cuts on it today. I would def recommend this bat to anyone, cant get a better bat for the price.
Cons: Not a thing
pop
Pros: This is the best bat i have hit with .Third time at bat 340 ft. bomb
Cons: I only have one bat.
Alpo
Pros: Once it gets hot it is a bat that gives confidence. I hit a bomb against a stiff wind the other night that I'm not sure I could have done with any other bat. Wasn't trying for long-ball swing either. If you hit it sweet, it's a rope.
Cons: Takes a little more time than normal to get hot. Would have probably gotten another "psycho" if I could do it all over again.
Anonymous
Pros: I bought this bat for a moderate pitch softball league. So far no complaints I havent hit any homeruns or anything but im not really a homerun hitter. Even if your not trying to smash the ball outta the yard the bat still is very nice to use. I've put quite a few hits on it and its only getting hotter.
Cons:
Blitz
Pros: Bought multiple bats at the same time with this bat such as MV3,Freak+ PM, MIZUNO FRENZY 2. This bat by far id the best one for the money
Cons: Its that only bat you can swing after you have it with all around versatility and pop.
jho
Pros: Haven't used it in a game yet, but put 50 practice swings on it and hit 3 shots over 300 ft...I'm not a power hitter, but when you really get a hold of one with this bat it just launches...can tell the more hits I was accumulating the hotter the bat got...can't wait to use it in a game this weekend! Will place another review after a few games
Cons: Stiff out of the wrapper
bone
Pros: I'm on my 2nd in 4 years and play 4 games/week year round. They both get heavy use and neither bat has damage, and both hit BOMBS!!! Like 50 said "I got the magic stick"!!!
Cons: Nada
Zajaho
Pros: Not being a power hitter, I was amazed at the speed the ball came off the bat. It will make you feel like a major leaguer. Best hitter on our team used it and said it was the best bat he had used in 10 years. Even the women on our team have started using it. I normally use a 34 in 30 oz, went down to a 29 oz...world of difference
Cons: Not being certified by the ASA, or being banned by the ASA sucks because we can't use the bat in a game. Batting practice is a turkey shoot, but I hope we don't get caught using it during the game.
mbstone9
Pros: Great bat so far, only played a scrimmage and two games but great pop so far.
Cons: Had to put on a padded grip but it was mainly for comfort.
Anonymous
Pros: Awesome bat. I'm hitting shots now and my wife went from a line drive base hit player to putting the ball over outfielder heads
Cons: Everyone now wants to use my bat
Johnathon Finch
Pros: First experience buying a quality slow-pitch bat, and it makes all the difference in the world versus a "Walmart" type bat. Used it in a game for the first time today after hitting some BP with it....AWESOME! Everything is either a HARD line drive, or if I'm a little low, out of the park! Great Bat, and justbats.com is a great and FAST place to order it from.-J.Finch
Cons: None thus far.
BT
Pros: Price, pop, distance, durability (old Freak + finally cracked after 6 years and thousands of swings)
Cons: Grip on my new Freak + has changed is less than desirable.
RunninRebel
Pros: great bat once broken in hits awesome everyone on my team loves the bat and hitting all over the field
Cons: takes a little time to break in but after the first year of use it hits really well
Anonymous
Pros: Hit great after 100 hits. Great bat so far!

rick102980
Pros: Great bat love it hit my first homerun. Great sweet spot everyone on the team loves it, and the ball markes wipe off real easy can keep the bat looking good.
Cons: Scratches show real easy because it is black other then that best bat I have used
Anonymous
Pros: Good weight, nice pop, should be a great bat with a few more swings.
Cons: The grip is spongy, the bat rattles while swinging.
mattgame
Pros: Just to add on to my last review. I took the Freak out today and hit some 400ft shots!! When you catch it on the sweet spot it's gone!!
Cons: May be too good!!!
mattgame
Pros: Great bat. The ball jumps off of the bat. I haven't had any problems as far as cracking or such.
Cons: None.
Hernandez
Pros: Purchased the bat from the reviews I've read. Has not disappointed. My average instantly increased, as has my confidence at the plate. Hit the game winner this past game. The ball jumps off the bat. Now thinking of purchasing a second Freak Plus with a heavier weight. Also, the return policy with softballbats.com made is so easy to purchase and return my first selection that this is the only place I would ever make another purchase. The day they recieved the returned bat they shipped the new one. Opted for free delivery - took only two days to arrive! These guys are the best.
Cons: Haven't found any.
freak n long ball
Pros: Bat was hot out of the wrapper. Starting jacking shots during first couple of hits for break in
Cons: Had one crack
B-52
Pros: Barely feel the ball leaving the bat, Easy homers, great line drives, impossible to get grounders.
Cons: Hitting pitchers and shortstops. Used my bat in two (2) games and it cracked after someone missed the sweet spot.
Rufio
Pros: This is an amazing bat. Just as much pop as some of the best bats out there. I think the durability is outright the best for sure! This thing is built like a tank. Everyone on my team loves this bat. I've usually considered myself a Demarini fan but after hitting this, I seriously have to reconsider.
Cons: None! As a reminder you should NEVER use these kinds of bats in the batting cages with the yellow dimpled practice balls. That's a good way to break your bat in a second. I read in some reviews that people have broken their bats doing this. These bats are only intended for regulation softballs!
Anonymous
Pros: Ball came off the bat really well.
Cons: Breaks easily, after a year and probably not a hundred pitches the bat cracked.
mike
Pros: good bat , has good pop from the get go , it gets better as you use it , in my league we use a 44 core ball 325 compression rating and on average i can send them 300-315 ft, this bat is best buy for money
Cons: the only thing is the grip dont last long you will need to regrip it
THORNY
Pros: FREAKISHLY hott.. im 145 lbs hitting seeds 350+ feet on accident. cheap. huge sweet spot. endloaded
Cons: people think you are using a shaved bat. prolly not the most durable, broke my 1st in about 3 mnths
ADENT09
Pros: crazy powerful bat, and definitely ready to go straight out of the wrapper.
Cons: illegal in ASA leagues.
jrt ferrari
Pros: hott hott hott. endloaded. cheap.
Cons: breakable
glenn
Pros: I've had this same bat since they came out with the Freak+,1 bat in 5 years is pretty darn good. I 've let anyone from 100-300+ pounds use this bat and it has opened a many of eyes with its durability and pop. I have played from league ball to traveling tournment ball and it has produced big time. I will never leave home without it.
Cons: It has so much pop when you do miss a good or bad pitch the ball hangs up in the air for anybody to walk up under. No bloppers or lucky dink shots.
Rubley
Pros: This is one of the best bats i have ever used. When u hit the ball in the sweet spot man is just explodes off of the bat.
Cons: I just wish it had a bigger sweet spot. That would be great.
cowboy 00
Pros: great bat once broke in...massive sweetspot....close to ultra 2...best bat for the price
Cons: everyone wants to use it

Cons:
Cronic
Pros: great bat good pop
Cons: in my league i need the bat to be asa approved so i couldnt use it
swingmiss
Pros: It's a composite bat, what do you expect from plastic and carbon fibers woven together? I'm so good with this bat I can just stand at the plate and the ball flies straight from the pitcher's hand and into the trees beyond left field because I am that good and the ball is that scared.
Cons: I'm too good and I have to pay for my bats.
Chevy85
Pros: Love the bat. Goin on my second season. Tons of bombs. 160 lbs and hitting 320ft + all day.
Cons: No probelems yet...
Scotty
Pros: Great bat I love it. My whole team will use it and it lasts for one season. Hits bombs out of the get go.

Notalocal1
Pros: great distances, but breaks toooo easily. I have gone thru 3 bats in 1 year.
Cons: breaks too easily. not made for big power hitters
Keano
Pros: Hot bat! 0 HR all last year without it, but I already have 2 HR in 4 games this year. I even hit one by accident!

Irwin
Pros: Great band for the buck! Excellent pop, great feel, lasting durability! By far the best bat for the money if not the best bat on the market! Personal homerun derby winning bat!

THEDIESEL
Pros: I used to hit to left field all the tim and i could never get the ball past 250 feet. now with the freak+ i hit bombs all over the field and i can hit line drives anytime i want. i went from base hitter to multiple run hitter. Good choice in bat i own three now.

mikenbird98

Cons: No real cons on this bat just a great bat for the price.
Brent v
Pros: Looks nice. Good Hype
Cons: Poor quality. I broke two of these bats in just my warm up practices. Both the initial purchase and the replacement bat. Dont buy it
Blue Eyes
Pros: This is a HOT bat... Even for a girl.. Some people dont like it when my boyfriend uses it they think that it is a U2 and well it is sad when you have to give them the Invoice saying that it is a Freak Plus.. He can hit 40 balls and everyone is gone like 350feet or more...

long ball hitter
Pros: Very hott. Alot of cats on my team uses one so I had to buy one and it is very hott. I am a long ball hitter and so it gives the ball that extra push to get out of here
Cons: Not that durable I have seen them crack, but that was after a lot of usage.

About the Brand
During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.
Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.
The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
