Pros: It is very nice, very good sweet spot right out of the wrap. I'm really excited about swinging it was it's really broken in. I can't compare it to my freak + yet . I would reccomend it to those who like Miken products.

Cons: none

Pros: It has a good feel for me, the endload helps with maximizing my power since I've not played any kind of ball in 18yrs. I am launching balls further than before. Im already telling team mates to get their own bat.

Cons: The handle is white and gets dirty very quickly

Cons: Bat feels heavier than posted weight. Removed grip and replaced with tape.

Pros: Fast delivery...received this bat on Friday (7/27/2012) and today (7/30/12)was my first time swinging it. It is indeed hot out the wrapper...first couple of swings in practice were slow but after that I was blasting bombs over the fence. It also really helped my swing since I'm a stocky built fellow, the extra weight forces me to extend and swing through the ball, turning my hips instead of trying to muscle it with upper body strength alone. Also, the bat was at a reasonable price, not sure the price jumped from 119.00 to 179.00 but I love this bat!!

Cons: The white handle gets dirty extremely fast. I've actually started using a black marker to try making the dirty handle look more appealing.

Pros: Bat has a decent amount of pop out of the wrapper. Bought the 26 oz thinking it may be too light but it definitely feels heavier than that. Fast break in. But all in all it's all bout the batter......not the bat

Cons: None

Pros: Was used to swinging my Miken Denny Crine Psycho, after it busted i received this bat in return. Definitely the hottest bat i've ever swung. Big sweet spot. Dropped a 330 foot Bomb first swing out of the wrapper, hitting a UTrip 40 core ball. definitely recommended

Cons: None.

Pros: Incredible pop, even right out of the wrapper. After 50 or so hits the ball just flies off the huge sweet spot. Even balls I hit off the tip or too close to my hands have great velocity.

Cons: None really, just had to get used to how fast this thing swings.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Miken Freak FX700 Maxload USSSA Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SFX7MU? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

What is the difference between a maxload and balanced bat? Angelsfan
A maxload bat will have an end loaded feel and there will be more weight towards the end of the barrel. A balanced bat will have the weight distributed evenly throughout the bat and will feel balanced.
Jennifer
I'm just curious why this bat is down to $119 and how long is this bat going to be this price? Tyler
The last batch of 2013 Miken Freak FX700 Maxload USSSA: SFX7MU Slow Pitch bats we received from Miken were offered to us at a lower price. Instead of keeping the price the same, we decided to pass those savings on to our customers. Our Product Team sets the price, and I do not have any specific information as to how long it will be at the price listed.
Mark
I am trying to decide between this bat and the 2013 MIKEN SDC41U 34/27 DC-41 SUPERMAX SLOWPITCH. Do you know the differences between the two? Nikki
The 2013 Miken Freak FX700 Maxload USSSA and the 2013 Miken DC-41 SuperMax use the same top of the line composite. The only difference is the Miken DC-41 is a Denny Crine model.
Kara
If a batter is naturally more of a power hitter than contact, which type is better to use, Maxload or Balance? new2dagame
If you are purely a power hitter, the 2013 Miken Freak FX700 Maxload would be a better fit for you than a balanced model.
Tom
We must have ASA approved, but know other players who have a Miken 700 Freak. Do you have one that is ASA? Joe
Miken did manufacture one version of the the ASA FX700 but we are currently sold out and that model it is discontinued. One of Miken's other hottest slow pitch softball bats is the Miken NXT Freak which is ASA approved. Here is a link to take a look at that. http://www.justbats.com/products/softball%20bats~slow%20pitch/approved%20for~asa/?s=freak
Tom
I currently swing the freak nasty and I wanted to know if this max load was better than that bat I love a good end loaded bat and the nasty is balanced and I love it ? Shawn
It's always recommend that a player stick with the same type of bat they have used in the past with the most success. In doing so, the player is much, much more likely to have continued success at the plate. Thus, I would say the 2013 Miken Freak FX700 Maxload USSSA: SFX7MU is not a better bat because it is an endloaded bat, and you have been having success with a balanced bat.

About the Brand

During the past few years, serious softball players have looked to Miken Sports for bats that provide the highest levels of performance and durability. Our relentless focus on both technology and the demands of players has made Miken the most demanded line of softball bats today.

Although composites are the latest trend in softball bats, the technology has been the core of Miken's success since the company's inception. Miken pioneered the modern high-performance composite softball bat in 1998 and has pushed the limits with every model since. No other bat company has driven innovation as hard, and the results are indisputable. Look around. If a player is serious about softball, they are most likely swinging a Miken bat.

The success of Miken Sports has been driven by two forces - innovation and a passion for delivering what players demand. The results are obvious. Players have decided that composites are the future for bats, and no one does composite like Miken.
