The Marucci Team BBCOR: MCBT Black! Forget the bells and whistles. Pay no attention to gimmicky graphics and ridiculously named technologies. If you want a bat that performs at the highest possible level, look no further than the Marucci Team. The Marucci Team focuses on the things that are most important to players. First and foremost, the Team features industry-best balance. Many players prefer a balanced bat and will see a dramatic increase in swing speed due to this perfectly weighted design. The AZ3000 Alloy used to construct the Team is one of the most responsive alloys on the field. Its durability has been tested time and time again on previous Marucci models, and players that have experienced the power and pop of AZ3000 know that there is nothing like it. Marucci has also outfitted the Team with their anti-vibration technology that is second to none. Developed with top bat scientists, Marucci's anti-vibration will give players the smoothest hitting experience of their lives. The Team features a profile that is modeled after their best-selling world-class MLB wood bats. Available in a variety of different colors to suit any player's desire, the Marucci Team might just be perfect bat. Marucci: Game Tested. Player Approved. The Marucci Team: MCBT is BBCOR Certified and legal for high school and collegiate play. It is backed by a Full Twelve (12) Month Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!
Pros: It is a very well-balanced bat and almost corrects your mechanics for you when you swing it. It is modeled after the CU 26 wood bat, so it has a different look to it than most metal bats. It has decent pop and is right there with most other BBCOR bats. I have been hitting somewhere around .350 with this bat.
Cons: Mine dented in two places near in between the TEAM and M of Marucci. I got it to replace my Cat 5^2 and I don't know if the bat was weakened from trying to mass produce them so quickly or not. I know its my own fault for not hitting it on the barrel, but I still don't think it should've dented with less than a month of use. It does not have the loud "PING" sound the Cat 5^2 had which I miss, but others might not.
Pros: Got this as an upgrade from CAT5 for my 13yr old. Opened the box on Sunday AM hit the cage before double header. First pitch first hit 330' Left Center. Marucci you have done it again. Nicely balanced bat with good pop. No ping like the CAT5. The ball moves off this bat. It really feels like a wood bat.
Cons: Don't know what to do with all these DeMarini's sitting around the house.
Cons: Poor construction. The bat dented the first time I used it in a game. Tried to get a full refund from Marucci and they sent me a new bat after my regular season was already done. No need for metal now it's all wood this summer so trying to sell the new bat they sent me. This is after they replaced my Cat 5 with this one. They need to go back to the drawing board. Will see how it goes after a full season.
Pros: Great balanced, I was skeptical when I bought this because I was thinking it wasn't gonna be as good as the cat 5 but I was wrong. They are essentially the same bat, only difference is it doesn't have the same loud PING! as the cat 5 but still you can hit just as great with this bat as you guys probably did with the cat 5.
Pros: Great Balance has good pop for a BBCOR bat, and a good size sweet spot. Even when you don't hit the ball in the sweet spot the ball still goes flying. Almost no vibration/sting. Great BBCOR bat, it is the best I have used. My rankings from the ones I have used
1. Marucci Team
2. Easton XL3
3. TPX Exogrid
4. TPX Z1000
5. Rip-it Protoype 2 (TERRIBLE BAT, those are just the only bat's I've tried, I'm sure if I tried more they would be higher on the list.
Pros: This is an excellent bat. I bought it for my 12 yr. old son who is in 7th grade and looking forward to playing on his middle school team. He also, plays on a travel team he used the TEAM Marucci -3 for the first time yesterday and he hit two stand up doubles and he also went yard for a three run shot. He loves this bat he says there is no vibration. I will be buying him a wood bat soon and I'm sure it will be a Marucci.
Cons: much more end loaded than most people say. I had to replace the grip a few times (i bought the same one) because it kept coming loose. you don't feel the sting if u hit it off the barrel but what bat doesn't do that, otherwise it stings a lot.
Pros: Most amazing bat I have ever had by far! Way more pop than a BBCOR and havent had any problems with it. All around the best bat that you will ever get. Bought this out of the ordinary and have tried all of the top of the line BBCOR's. none compared to this. No vibration even when off the handle and end cap
Pros: Great quality bat. I can't believe the pop in this bat. Balanced very we'll, Deff worth the price. Easy to him them out in BP, 1st couple of games hit them pretty much to the fence. Awesome job Marucci.
Also first couple games didn't still looked bran new!
Cons: Possibly put them in more colors, don't make the barrel all white, switch it up a bit.
Pros: Great pop, no vibration, and the bat is somewhat top heavy so if you get it through the zone it helps finish your swing and launches the ball.
Cons: Since the bat is top heavy, if you dont get it through the zone quick enough (which is very easy to do with this bat) you will definitely get jammed. Also because of the white paint job balls will leave a mark on this bat and the grip is very easy to get dirty.
The Best Bat that I've Ever Owned.
Tan Timmy Cash
Pros: This is the first Marucci bat that ive ever swung. I bought it with the word of the reviews I've read. This bat feels super natural when I'm holding it. The swing is awesome too. It is balanced, and it doesn't feel wierd when ot is swung.
Pros: -great pop
-hits very well
-extremely low cost compared to other bats and i have swung different bats a lot including demarini vexxum, easton s1, and demarini voodoo but no bat hits as good as the marucci
Cons: -bat materials are bad quality (ex. paint chipping)
Pros: This has some good ping to it, and the ball travels pretty well. the pop lasts for a long time. got a season and a half of use out of it and the pop seemed to be the same all the way through. couldnt ask for more pop for the price though.
Cons: not too much. sweet spot isnt all that big though
I'm and 8th grader and about 5'4'' and 125 lbs. and wanting to upgrade from a 31 in. 28 oz. Easton Hammer. Would this be a good upgrade?
The Marucci Team would definitely be a great bat to upgrade to. The Team is a full alloy bat like the Hammer and you shouldn't have any problems switching to this bat!
Would it be too heavy, in your opinion, for a 13 year old who is 5'3 and 100 pounds?
Based on that height and weight, a 29" bat is recommended. Since the smallest size we currently have available is a 31" 28oz, these sizes will probably be too large for you. However, if you feel like you can swing a 31" bat, then I say go for it! It shouldn't hurt anything.
Where is it made?
Marucci's headquarters is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. However, the Marucci Team model is made overseas.

Would you recommend the CAT 5, Marucci Black, or Marucci Team based on pop? I am a power hitter.
All are great bats with very good pop. The CAT 5 and Team models are one-piece bats that often benefit power hitters. The CAT 5 was one of the highest performing BBCOR bats on the market, but it has been discontinued and we no longer have any in stock. I think the Team bat is comparable to the CAT 5, but it will be hard to match the CAT 5's performance. If you prefer a one-piece bat, go with the Team, if you have traditionally used two-piece bats with success, go with the Marucci Black.

What is better, the Marucci Team or the Marucci Black?
Both, the Marucci Black and the Marucci Team are great bats. Determining which one is better is difficult and is really dependent on the type of hitter you are. That all depends on what size bat you are currently using and if you have ever swung a -3 bat before. Both are great bats, but I would recommend swinging both a -5 and -3 bat side by side to get a better idea of your swing speed and bat control with each size.
Does this bat have a good sweet spot? Would you recommend it to a more contact or power hitter?

The Marucci Team (MCBT) and the Louisville Slugger Omaha (BB136) are both balanced swing weights and one-piece aluminum bats. They are both good bats and it really comes down to personal preference.
Is this bat USSSA approved?
The Marucci Team (MCBT) is only BBCOR certified so it will not have the USSSA stamp.
Does Marucci MCBT black need to be broken in?
No, the only bats that need to be broken in are full composite bats. The Marucci Team BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBT Black) is a one-piece full alloy bat so it will not need to be broken in.
I am deciding between this bat and an Assault. Which has the better performance and balance?
The performance of the Marucci Team BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBT) and the Louisville Slugger Assault BBCOR Baseball Bat (BBAS14-RR) are both regulated by BBCOR standards so one will not simply outperform the other. They are also similarly balanced so preference between the two would come down to brand preference ultimately.
How does this model compare to the RIP-IT Prototype?
The Marucci Team BBCOR Baseball Bat (MCBT Black) will feature a one piece full alloy design with a balanced swing weight. The RIP-IT Prototype BBCOR Baseball Bat (B1403) will feature a one piece full alloy with an end loaded swing weight. Typically, we would recommend the Prototype for more of a power oriented hitter. However, since it does come with a 30 day trial period, you could try the RIP-IT and then return it for another model.
I was wondering if the ONE or the Team would be better for batting practice? I would like one that will last for a while.
Both the Marucci Team BBCOR (MCBT) and the Marucci ONE BBCOR are constructed from AZ3000 Alloy, so they will be extremely similar in feel, performance, and durability.

Yes, JustBats.com will price match a competitor's listed price!
To do so, we verify some information. If you see an item listed at a lower price elsewhere, this is all we require:
We must verify that the website you want to price match is legitimate and an authorized dealer of the products they sell.
We must confirm that the competitor has the same size and product in stock and ready to ship. If the same size and product is out of stock on the competitor's website, we are unable to match their price.
We must confirm if the competitor charges sales tax and/or shipping fees since these are added to the final price of the product.
Lastly, our Bat Experts must check on the cost we pay to stock the item from the manufacturer. The price match must cover that manufacturer cost for the item.
We have the final decision for matching an online price.
Did you purchase a product from us, but noticed that it is now at a lower price? Please let us know, and we will honor our lowest price within the past 30 days by issuing a refund for the price difference or adjusting the price for you over the phone.
