M^Powered is a professional baseball gear company engaged in the design, production, and development of the highest quality game gear available anywhere. The centerpiece of their product is their wood bats. M^Powered bamboo bats are made from the hardest wood/plant material on earth. Bamboo is used for scaffolding in China and many other Asian countries in the construction of the world's tallest and most modern skyscrapers. The reason bamboo is so strong is its tensile strength. The Bamboo plant is harvested and then machined so the choice pieces can be used for the construction of your baseball bat. The bamboo is pieced like a parquet floor and put under 2000 pounds of pressure. After drying it is lathed into a 271 model bat, and sanded until the finished product is smooth as marble. The bats are then sprayed with 3 layers of environmentally approved paint. M^Powered always sprays its bats and never dips them. Spraying allows for a fine finish not always found when using the dip process. After the spraying process is finished the M^Powered watermark logo and artwork are applied. After a second drying step M^Powered sprays 2 clear coat applications for a professional finish and the watermark art is sealed. M^Powered pays very special attention to detail. Pros: Great bat, your kid can learn to swing wood with confidence, and hit the ball from any side! The ball pops off the bat nicely with a good sound..a little heavy, but that's how baseball should be played. his is a great bat I would highly recommend it to any kid who is strong and can hit for power!

Pros: finding a lite weight wooden bat for a 11 year old is not easy but this one fits the bill my son feels very comfortable swinging this bat would defiantly recommend this bat

How does bamboo compare to maple or ash? I have heard bamboo is a softer wood and that is why a bamboo bat will not break as easily. Does the ball "jump" off a bamboo bat as well as a maple wood bat? Andy

The ball will definitely jump off the bat like a maple wood bat. Bamboo is the most durable out of all the wood types available.
