Pros: My kid took the bat out and the first thing he noticed was the grip, He says this is the best grip. With a good swing there is no problem getting the ball to just pop off the bat. He has had exogrids in the past and this by far is his favorite. The Exogrid logo is textured on the bat which is different and will help put spin on the ball. My son has hit with the CF5 and some new Eastons 2 peice and says he feels more in control with the one peice exogrid. He has hit with the Louisville Attack which he liked. Maybe Louisvillle Slugger you just can't go wrong with. Exogrid is a tough bat that will last the season
Cons: NONE
Nate
Pros: great feel awesome pop on the ball great grip for hands
Cons: none so far
BBall Dad
Pros: Good balance and nice sweet spot.
Cons: Not durable. Bought new in March...already cracked at the handle (only 9 games into season). After growing out of 3 Eastons, we moved to Louisville Slugger - looks like a mistake.

Dad of 55's
Pros: We ordered one for my just turned 13 year old. He liked the bat so much we picked one up for my 9 year old. They love the bat. Just remember kids it's the Indian not the arrow but this is one sweet looking arrow!
Cons: Don't have one as of now. Louisville Slugger makes a great product and JustBats is a fine company. Match made in Baseball Heaven.

Pros: Love the grit paint on barrel. Creates lots of backspin on the ball for flight. Like always, got half the team using it. Lol. 12u premiere baseball program texas. HP3 baseball.
Cons: None yet. Solid as a rock.

Pros: great bat lots of pop and very well balanced
Cons:
#3 hitter JDS player
Pros: Good pop but doesn't seem to have as much as past EXO's I've used. Very balanced makes it feel lighter than it is. I would buy a ounce maybe 2 heavier than normal that would probably make up for what I think is a little less pop than older EXO's because the balanced feel. I would still recommend this bat.
Cons: Tape on bottom of grip came off rather quick

Pros: My son loves it. I have bought many of the 3-400.00 bats and this one makes my son just as happy. Great bat, good pop, wish it was a 22 oz, but still a excellent bat.
Cons: none at this time

My son swung the Louisville Slugger Triton II -12 last year in 12u league. He is playing in the 13u bracket this year. He is 5' 1", 83 lbs. He has grown quite a bit from last year. He is likely to play Legion ball 15 months from now where he will have to use a -3 bat. Should I transition him towards that length and weight ratio now? If so, what would you suggest, -9, -8? I don't think he would have much success with a -5. CoachDad

About the Brand
In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.
After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.
The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.
The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.
Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
