Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3
Dial in your technique at the plate with this fast-turning twig from Louisville Slugger. Constructed from a single piece of premium-grade alloy, this Solo BBCOR baseball bat offers a striking blue, silver and white colorway that is sure to turn heads as you step into the batter's box. Approved for use from the junior/senior league levels of little league through college, the Solo BBCOR is an ideal bat for developing hitters hoping to gain speed and confidence and older players who like to keep things light and nimble. Available in a range of sizes starting from 29 inches and 26 ounces, it's the perfect model start with at the youth levels and stay with into high school and college.

Bat Benefits
For this Solo BBCOR bat, Louisville selected their premium SL Hyper Superlight alloy. It offers a thinner wall construction than other top-end alloys, allowing improved swing speeds and exceptional pop on contact. While some single-piece bats suffer from painful vibrations on mishit balls, the Solo BBCOR remains comfortable thanks to the Vibex premium vibration dampening handle.

This bat is Louisville's lightest swinging BBCOR model and benefits from an ultra-balanced weight profile designed to maximize swing speed. Its superb balance and performance are accentuated by a new SPD composite end cap that further reduces weight and improves feel. The handle is finished with Louisville's premium LS Pro Comfort grip for a soft, supple feel with excellent tackiness to keep that bat exactly where you expect it on every swing.

Warranty
This bat is covered by Louisville Slugger's limited one-year warranty. If an issue arises, please contact JustBats and we can get you the information for beginning that process with Slugger.

Don’t Buy Ryan Dwyer Coach

Pros: Looks good

Cons: Bat doesn’t feel right, has no pop at all. We used another players exact bat which felt much better. But this bat we received didn’t feel right from the moment we opened the box and swung it.

What is the difference between this year's Solo and the Solo 619 from last year?
Dom
The Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3 features a slight change to the end cap design when compared to the Solo 619; this change was made to improve the bat's ranking as the most balanced model from LS.
Cameron
<My son is 4'11" and 105 lbs and has been swinging a 31 -5 CF Black. What length bat should I get him in BBCOR and does this bat swing lighter than the Axe Elite or Axe Elite One?
jerrod
Per your son's height and weight, we would recommend getting the Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3 in a 29 inch model. In our opinion, the Solo would swing lighter than the Axe Elite and Axe Elite One models.
Cameron
Will this year's Solo still include the vibex dampening handle design?
Jb
Yes, the Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3 will feature the vibex material in the handle to assist with vibration control.
Cameron
I have a 12 yr old that is 5 ft and92 lbs. What length and weight would you recommend?
Tyler
We would recommend a 30-31" length of bat for his height and weight. Weight of bat is much more difficult to recommend, but probably a -10 or a -8 would suit him best for his age.
Kyle
Is this bat good for a power hitter?
Tim B
If you enjoy using a balanced swinging bat as a power hitter, then yes, this 2020 Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTLBBS620B3) will compliment your hitting style well. However, we do see a large number of power hitters prefer bats that have extra weight put into the barrel. A Slugger bat with extra weight in the barrel would be the Louisville Slugger Select PWR BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTLBBSPB320).
Ben
How does this bat compare to the Marucci Cat 8?
Dylan Forrest
The Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3 is the lightest swing weight BBCOR option and will be more balanced. They are both one piece alloy bats and have similar feel. Both are great options.
Daveron
My son is small. He’s 4’9, 75lbs and turning 13. He’s currently using a USA Solo 29”. What size bat would be best to transition him to a BBCOR?
Clayton
I would suggest going with the lightest swinging BBCOR bat and this Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat (WTLBBS620B3) would be a fantastic choice in 29" 26 oz.
Frank
I’m transitioning from a -10 Voodoo bat and I’m wondering if this is a good first time BBCOR bat.
Tim W
The Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3 is a one-piece alloy bat that is extremely balanced. Thus, it would make a great bat in the BBCOR market for someone transitioning to the BBCOR certification.
Cameron
What is your return policy? My son wants to decide between this bat and the CAT7. While we can find CAT7s at most store, we can't find this one.
Lucas Pasakarnis
If the bat is unused, you have 12 months to return the bat back to us for a full refund. If you would like to use the bat as a trial period, you can purchase the Bat Assurance. This gives you 30 days to try out the bat. If you don't like it, send it back to us for a refund of the purchase price of the bat. If you do keep it, you will receive a gift card for the purchase price of the Bat Assurance.
Lauren
Why is the 30” bat $40 more than the 31”? Seems odd, less material is more money.
Kirk
The price differences on the closeout sizes of the Louisville Slugger Solo BBCOR Baseball Bat: WTLBBS620B3 comes down more to supply and demand compared to anything else.

In 1842, J. Frederick Hillerich emigrated with his family from Baden-Baden, Germany to the United States. Eight years before, the 1834 Book of Sports had made its debut as the nation's first publication covering baseball. But when he arrived in Baltimore, J. Frederick Hillerich would never have dreamed of the future impact his family would have on America's favorite pastime.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were born in the United States and would later join their father in his business. By 1864 "J.F. Hillerich, Job Turning" was in operation and filled orders for businesses by custom-turning everything from balusters to bedposts.

The firm thrived, and by 1875 the little woodworking shop employed about 20 people. In 1880 Bud Hillerich, who was an amateur baseball player, became an apprentice in his father's shop. Young Bud made his own baseball bats along with bats for several of his teammates.

The debate over the origins of the first bat continues to generate controversy among baseball enthusiasts, but the younger Hillerich was most certainly involved in getting his father's business involved with what would become the company's signature item. According to company legend, the first bat was turned by Bud for Pete "The Old Gladiator" Browning in 1884. Browning was a star on Louisville's professional American Association team - the Eclipse. On a spring afternoon Bud, then seventeen, witnessed Browning break his favorite bat. Bud offered to make a bat for his hero, and Browning accepted. After the young wood shop apprentice lathed a quality stick from white ash, according to the story, Browning got three hits with it in the next game.

Louisville Slugger gloves are worn by more pitchers in Major League Baseball than any other glove.
