Pros: great price, great pop for a big barrel coach pitch bat
Cons:
Iceman
Pros: great pop. ball jumps off bat. Probably good for for 5-10 ABs. see cons for further details.
Cons: not very durable. 8 year-old son dented bat at only his second BP session. probably due to single wall construction. Son plays 8U USSSA. Had bat less than a week; it's on the way to Easton for warranty replacement. let's see how that goes.
Anonymous
Pros: Decent pop. Per Easton, it's the exact same bat as the Rival at shorter lengths and lower price point.
Cons: Heavy. The 26/16 actually weighed closer to 18 oz and was more end loaded than others. The 27/17 weighed around 18.75 oz.
Rebirtha
Pros: Thought I should put my two cents in on the negative reviews... We've had this bat about 3 weeks now, and have not seen a single dent. Bat has ridiculous pop for an alloy coach pitch bat. Great price point as well.
Cons: None yet, but we'll keep ya posted.
big ron
Pros: We got my son the V12 bat its all right. great price
Cons: has ok pop
KJ
Pros: I was very surprised by it's pop for the price. Of course, the whole team wants to use it, but you can see the difference in all the kids hits. Easily an extra 10 - 20 feet on their hits.
Cons: Nicked the paint a little to easy.
bambam
Pros: Great pop. A Must have for your arsenal. My 8u team has hit the ball very hard to date,no matter what bat they used. I brought the V12 to the cages last week, now all the parents are running out to buy one. Ball jumps off the bat. I inspected the bat afterwards no dents or cracks. Great bat for the money.
Cons: I'm not sure on the weight? We have kids that are small and some big. Nobody had a hard time swinging the marked 17oz bat, and I bring it to them. Not one of these coaches just lobs the ball. Anyone worried Easton has a 400 day warrenty and they will honor it. They replaced several of the Stealth bats last year.
coach Galvin
Pros: So far so good only have had it a good three weeks showing signs of some good pop!!!!
Cons: N/A
Anonymous
Pros: Nice pop...my son loves it!Just as good or better than other more expensive bats...very good value.
Cons: Have not found any...
Yankee Dad
Pros: Good size choices. Nice pop. My son is small for age and the lighter weight options allowed him to get a big barrel. Big confidence builder for him.
Cons: Nothing yet. A little nervous about durability but the warranty calms those concerns.
Anonymous
Pros: Excellant choice, talk about a confidence booster. My son hasn't swung a bat since Fall and our first day at practice he dropped the ball about 15 ft from the fence. by far the best distance he has hit the ball, U8 coach pitch.
Cons: None so far,
Dan K.
Pros: My son just starting using the V12. His bat speed has improved significantly and the ball is jumping off the bat. This bat is wonderful
Cons:
Proud Parent of 3
Pros: Great Pop! Ball jumps off this bat. My 8yr old loves this bat. We got as a replacement for the Stealth coach pitch bat
Cons: Already starting to see small dents.
Joey L
Pros: good coach pitch bat. I like the 1:15 restiction. It makes it a little safer.
Cons:
8U Rangers
Pros: Great pop, nice replacement to the Stealth. 8U Select boys love it. As good as any CP bat on the market for the $!!
Cons:
Coach D
Pros: Very hot bat. looks like they are going to sell out fast. Price already went up $10 since I bought mine. My 8 yo loves it. Using the 27/17.
Cons: Not really a con but is heavier than the prodigy 27/17.
KHuff1
Pros: Bought this bat for my 8 yr old son and he is totally loving it!! He has hit some great hits and now his team mates are hitting with it and they are all loving it!! Has a great pop and makes them all feel like major leaguers!!
Cons:
baseball dad
Pros: great pop, well priced yes it dents but so does the worth, anderson and every other single wall bat for more money thats how they get there light weight and pop by compromiseing durability as long as it has warranty you get a bat for a yearand a few months
Cons: none sons whole team uses it
Little League Dad
Pros: This bat has really suprised me. My 55lb. 7year old is using the 25"15. It has good pop and appears to be more balanced than most big barrel coach pitch bats. This is allowing him to have bat speed that others have taken away due to being unbalanced. The price is an added bonus.
Cons:
jupo2001
Pros: I have the DeMarini and this bat and my 6 year old son has fell in love with this bat. He loves that it says "massive sweet spot." This ball jumps off of the bat. I love the "ping" sound. This bat is legit!!! I recommend this over any composite bat.
Cons:
CPDAD77
Pros: Excellent control and pop. Light weights, short lengths available for smaller children.
Cons: None so far!
JRAY
Pros: awesome bat! bought this bat for my 5yr old. great pop off the bat! ball flies on contact!
Cons: NONE!
DE31
Pros: My son loves this bat and so do his teammates. Nice ping sound and great price.
Cons: None at this time.
Anonymous
Pros: My son likes the bat alot. Other members of his team have also tried it and like it. Games have not started yet, but looks like a great investment! Bat seems to have alot of pop!
Cons: None to date!
big league baseball
Pros: Dallas 7uTX Big League our whole team is using this bat and my son is skinny 6yr old and clears the infield 7yr hiting to outfield...great bat
Cons: paint chips all over the bat
REAPER 73
Pros: My son just started using this bat and has been ripping the cover off the ball. Last year he used a Easton Stealth Speed 27/17 and never had the results that he does with this bat. Highly recomend this bat to anyone.
Cons:
Butch
Pros: Great pop. Becoming the team bat!
Cons:
Me-Me-Maw
Pros: My grandson is playing in Youth for 6 year olds for the first time. I got him a cheaper bat and he had trouble hitting the ball. I saw the other team members batting with the V 12 so I purchased him one. He is now the best batter on his team. His batting confidence has gone sky high. He now enjoys ball and wants to stay with it. Thank you for helping to build my grandsons confidence
Cons:
Big Daddy T
Pros: Light, good feel. Decent pop.
Cons: Not quite the pop that some look for, but not really a "con", because the V12 will make the player SWING. Good bat for players who are ready to add speed to a technically sound swing.
Steve35146
Pros: Makes all the difference in the world for a beginner in coach pitch baseball. Also legal in Dizzy Dean league.
Cons: None
The Boo
Pros: Great bat. My 5-year old has hit 5 home runs with this bat. More pop than I could have ever imagined. Has given him so much more confidence. He has the 26-16 oz. Will move up to the 27-17 oz. next year. Will definitely get the same Easton V12 again.
Cons: None that I can think of.
Brandon Aaron
Pros: One of the best bats available that is legal in Dizzy Dean league. I bought a 25/15 for my son and the whole team loved it. Now several teammates have a V12 in various sizes. Mine has had a lot of use and has no dents or dings. I will be buying a V12 in 26/16 for fallball.
Cons: None that I can think of. My bat gets shared by several boys and gets a lot of use so it is scratched up but otherwise intact.
Outlaw
Pros: Great pop, my 8 year old is crushing the ball with his 17/27.
Cons: Had it exactly 1 month and had to send it in for replacement. He is the only one that uses his bat and has already put a large dent in the sweet spot!
Fireplug
Pros: The length and weight is just right for little children. The ball comes off the barrel fast when it is hit. So far it is a great bat for my son.
Cons: So far I do not have anything that would be considered as a con. Sorry.
Thunder_Mike
Pros: Good sound and pop out of the box. Decent bat for young travel ball players.
Cons: Dents way too easily. My 8u son put 2 dents in his after 15 to 20 pitches in practice. There are 3 of these on our travel team all have dents. Sent ours back to Easton requesting a different bat.
Coach A
Pros: Awesome bat... Great pop... Fast shipping and great price..
Cons: none.
Bro's Dad
Pros: My son started swinging this bat. He's 6 yrs old and very small for his age. He's crushing it. He's hitting the ball like he is 8 or 9. Be sure to get the right certification for your league.
Cons:
Jake
Pros: Feels great! Great hitting tool! I feel like a power hitter now.
Cons: Haven't experienced anything negative yet!
RT
Pros: Nice pop. Several kids on my son's team use this bat and they are the distance hitters with the most contact. This will be my next bat purchase. My son uses the bat now and he hits farther and with more contact.
Cons: Should have bought this bat instead of the Easton Reflex.
just a dad
Pros: so far, lived up to the expections we had heard. It has a loud ping sound upon contact with the ball. My son loves that which makes him want to bat with it more. Nice sweet spot and ball will travel very far.
Cons: none so far good
Sweet T
Pros: My son uses this for 8 U tournaments and I highly recommend this bat. It has a lot of pop and he can hit it with power.
Cons: Non
Phil
Pros: Nice pop. Comfortable for 8 yr olds to swing.
Cons: Dents. Been used on the team off & on for 3-4 months, and there are too many flat spots on this bat to count.
indian
Pros: Great bat...Would recommend it to anyone...It has a great sweet spot.
Cons: The only con I have with it is that it dents fairly easy.
aircuellar
Pros: Well balanced, great looking, nice pop and sound. I bought this for my 7 turning 8 yr old nephew and like all the other reviews said, the other kids were wanting to use his bat cause he was popping the balls further and consistantly. I took him out to the field here in SA. After some one handed bat drills with balls/wiffle balls he was hitting consistently in the exam same spot on the field. His talent combined with this bat are amazing.
Cons: none yet.
DannyBoy
Pros: My 7-year old has used this bat since mid-feb and over the season has improved his swing and bat speed. Weight is not an issue for him but I did purchase the 25" / 15oz bat (smallest bat on the team) but just recently he is beginnging to take advantage of the bat. Large sweet spot allows him to consistently hit hard line drives / or highly arching pops which at U8 rec baseball is hard to catch. We are playing the championship game today 05/21 so we will see how the bat close out the season
Cons: My boy isn't a consistant hitter until recently so it took some time to break in, but once he got his swing down and connected bat proved its worth. We did see some dents and scoffs so the life of the bat should be for one season but we did used it as a practice bat and game bat.
big D
Pros: I wish the version i bought last year was stamped and legal this year but it has been great for my kid this year great pop to the outfield. leads team in doubles triples and homeruns couldn"t be happier
Cons:
Anonymous
Pros: Good bat my son really likes it!! He is a smaller kid to and weight was perfect and didnt compromise the fundmentals of his swing
Cons:
Alex
Pros: 1st weekend won tournament went 7 for 11
Cons: makes ping sound umps question if bat is legel
Big Bat
Pros: Bat has great pop. My 8 year old son hit two home runs during his second game of a doubleheader.
Cons: None
Anonymous
Pros: My son just hit his first Homerun using this bat. Everyone on the team has started using it and it has great pop.
Cons: Scratches easily
Big E
Pros: My son took this bat to the 7U World Series and won 2nd place in the Homerun Derby. The bat compliments him well. Appears to be a very common bat among youngsters today.
Cons:
snake
Pros: bent during game
Cons: broke in half
Doctor
Pros: Great Bat! just the right size and weight. Easy to grip and swing.
Cons: None
Superdad
Pros: You can spend more but you will not get a better performing bat. Larger sweet spot than composite bats. Our 8U tourney team has every bat on the market but this one is used most.
Cons: Might need batting gloves in cold temps. Vibration is a little more than composites when hit outside the sweet spot.
Great Bat!
Pros: Great Bat! Arrived quickly and is exactly as advertised. Good deal for the money and my son started hitting better almost instantly.
Cons: A little heavier than advertised but a minor adjustment to the bat and everything was great.
JackJack
Pros: Bat had good pop for the 1 bucket of balls we used.
Cons: Received the bat and took my 9 year old out for some BP. After the first bucket of balls we found 2 dents in the bat, and one was about 2 inches in diameter. He is by no means a power hitter and we were very disappointed as we have always used Easton products.
Dan
Pros:
Cons: I ordered this bat in 25" 15 oz. configuration for my 5 year old. With the plastic wrapping it weighed 17.7 oz. That was the same weight as my 17 oz. Lithium Prodigy. I'm sending it back for a lighter bat.
Crash99c
Pros: Bought this for my 6 y/o he started travel ball and wanted a better bat. He is hitting better and harder. He has better control all around great bat!
Cons: I have not found anything i do not like yet.
Oly
Pros: Great bat. My 8 year old hit a one hopper over the fence in his second game.
Cons: None.
#3's Dad
Pros: good pop, gives my 8 y/o confidence at the plate. He hasn't complained of any vibration as he had from previous bats
Cons: no known problems at this time.
cabman
Pros: Easton name. Good graphics. Well balanced for younger players.
Cons: I bought this before Christmas 2012 and gave it to my son for his June b-day. Used it 1 day in practice and has dents all over. Hoping Easton will stand behind their product. No pop with all the dents so no good review on the performance.
Harvey
Pros: Good pop
Cons: Heavier than advertized
Nick
Pros: Instant success! My son is a small guy. Just turn 7yrs old around 55lbs. He's crushing the ball. I was shocked to see adjust to this bat so quick. He loves it.
Cons: Bat gets dinged up fairly easy
