Description

New for Ask anyone what the hottest ASA slow pitch softball bat is, and you'll get one answer time and time again: The Easton Salvo. This season, the Salvo returns in a number of different forms to meet the needs and preferences of just about any player. The Easton Salvo Multi-Wall features a unique one-piece design with a THT100 Scandium Alloy outer shell and an IMX Composite inner core. The combination of the two materials creates a bat with extraordinary durability and excellent barrel rebound. THT100 Alloy is Easton's toughest alloy as it provides 100 ksi strength for superior dent and crack resistance. In addition, the 12 inch THT100 alloy barrel allows for a larger and more responsive sweetspot than traditional alloys, and is endloaded for maximum power. The IMX Composite that forms the inner core is Easton's most popular composite material. IMX optimizes the composite structure to provide extraordinary performance and durability. The ultra thin 29/32 inch handle is wrapped with a new Performance Diamond Grip that provides the tack and control needed to start blasting homers every time up. Maybe the most impressive thing about the Salvo is that you can start consistently hitting it over the fence for under $200! Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference! The Easton Salvo Multi-Wall is approved for play in ASA, USSSA, NSA, ISA, and ISF. It is backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Free Shipping!

Pros: I'm not a power hitter, but this bat drives the ball deeper than any bat I've ever used. I was totally sold on this bat after my second at-bat with it. No need to break it in. Great pop!

Cons: Just a bit more end-loaded than I expected, so it swings like a bat weighing 1-2 ounces more.

Pros: This bat has SO much pop!!! My first hit with it (fresh out the wrapper) was a solid line drive to the outfield. My twin sister used it and slammed the ball as well. The pop it had amazed me because you usually have to take at least 100 hits to break a bat in. The end load felt great & the grip is awesome! Also love the colors =) I'm a woman and I'm not a home run hitter, but I've gotten a couple "almost" in the park home runs (triples) because I've hit the ball over a couple outfielders heads with this bat. Highly recommend it for any player, especially because it's an ASA bat that swings and feels like a USSSA one!

Cons: Everyone wants to use it and I'm too nice to tell them no! Haha. Been using it for a month now & have no complaints. I think it's gonna be much more durable then the Salvo SRV5, which I had to send back because it cracked after only a month and a half of use and started rattling badly inside!

Pros: Literally had no time to break it in before our forst game. 1st AB was a hard line drive to LC. 2nd was off the fence. Both hits felt like that ball jumped off the bat. Once I shake the rust off, I have a feeling it'll be scoring us a lot of runs.

Cons: None so far!

Pros: This bat is AWESOME!!! I usually hit base hits, but with this bat, I drive the ball to the ball to the gaps for doubles and triples. Great pop on this bat right away!

Cons: End loaded a little more than what I had wanted. Other than that, AMAZING BAT!

Pros: I'm a home run hitter and this bat gives me the ability to over 320 pretty regularly. If you need some extra to be able to hit home runs consistently then this is your bat.

Cons: If you get this bat its end loaded so be careful about getting a bat that's to heavy. Only 3 guys on my team can take advantage of this bat at 30 oz. The other guys lose to much bat speed and don't really gain any distance on their ball.

Pros: Feels great!!!1 I'm not a homerun hitter so wanted a bat that will let me hit linedrives all day and it did. I can't wait to break in and see what this bat really does.

Cons: I bought a 34" 26oz fells like a 27 oz besides that love the bat.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Salvo Multi-Wall Slow Pitch Softball Bat: SP12SVM? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

Ok other than the obvious...whats better, COMP 98 or Multiwall??? Any help here? Cheeks
Well, the "Comp 98" simply refers to the type of composite used in the new ASA approved Salvo. As far as which is better... That depends on who you ask. I feel that the Comp 98 Salvo will have a little hotter sweetspot, but the Multi-wall Salvo I think will have a larger sweetspot. All depends on what you are looking for.

Which 2013 Easton Salvo is comparable to the 2012 Easton Salvo: SRV5 Slow Pitch bat?? Is it the 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall: SP12SVM Slow Pitch or the 2013 Easton Salvo Connexion: SP12SVC Slow Pitch?? Or better yet, which one of the new Easton Salvo is the better bat… not just for home runs but for all contact and swing styles. Hoofter
It will actually be the Salvo Comp 98: SP12SV98 that is most similar to the original one-piece Salvo: SRV5. The Salvo Multi-Wall: SP12SVM features an aluminum shell and composite inner core, while the Salvo Connexion: SP12SVC is a two-piece design. No one bat design is necessarily better than the others, but all of these new Salvos are expected to be great bats!
Patrick
Is it safe to use in cold weather?? Around uper 40 or 50 degrees f*? G
I would recommend to really limit the use in temperatures like these. It is really recommended to not use any kind of bat in temperatures that are around 50-55 degrees or lower. However, if there is a difference of a couple of degrees, as long as you try to limit the use, the bat should be okay to use.

This bat just says end loaded where some just show slightly end load, is this Salvo multi wall bat have more end load? wolly
The SP12SVM is a multi-wall bat and will have an end-loaded feel. It may not be a full 1 ounce end-load, but will be considered an end-loaded bat.
Tyler
Does Easton Salvo Multi-Wall: SP12SVM need to be rolled? Chris
Rolling bats is illegal. If you roll the bat it will void the manufactures warranty.
Kara
I play in an all metal bat league no composites. composite handles and metal barrels are ok. is this considered a metal??? JOE
The Salvo SP12SVM has a hitting surface that is alloy. It will be legal for your league based on what you have told us.
Tyler
Which bat would be better the half and half Salvo or the CV12? woody
The 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall and the CV12 are one piece bats with an alloy shell and a composite core.
Kara
My league is an all aluminum barrel that allows double wall bats. Would this be legal? Josh
The 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall has an aluminum outer shell and a composite core. Because the core is composite, we recommend contacting your local league for clarification.
Kara
How long does it take to break in a bat? Levi
The 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall has an alloy outer shell and composite inner core. Because the Salvo has an alloy outer shell it does not require any break-in time.
Derek H.
How does this perform compared to the scandium version? How will it perform in cold weather? (below 55 degrees) ItsAWrap
The 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall will be very comparable to performance of the Easton Scandium. The 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall will have a little thicker walls than the Easton Scandium.
Kara
Is the SP12SVM an upgrade from the CV12? What is the difference in the two bats? JGoodwin
Both the 2013 Easton Salvo Multi-Wall (SP12SVM) and the Easton CV12 (SCR1) would be good options. There is not much difference between the designs besides the Salvo being slightly more end-loaded.
