Bat Benefits
Easton has crafted the Ghostmondo to bring the pop that slow pitch players desire to deliver in the batter's box. This two-piece and all-composite bat has been crafted with Easton's Double Wall Design that incorporates a lightweight inner barrel and strong outer barrel. Easton says that this design should give players the most possible feel, sound, and pop. Due to the Double Wall design, they have made the bat with what can be characterized as a "non-linear" build. This means that it deviates from the traditional layered composite design and therefore will have a lower barrel compression than most USA Softball certified bats (it will have a 750 PSI when compared to the standard compression threshold of 1450 PSI). However, be sure to note that even with the lower barrel compression, this bat will still pass for play in a USA Softball (ASA) or WBSC league.
When compared to its Ghostmondo counterpart (SP22GGML) with the 13.5" barrel length, we believe that there is a shot that this bat will feel a bit more barrel heavy (even though both bats have the same "loaded" or "slightly end-loaded" distinction). Since this edition of the bat has a shorter 12.5" barrel length, there is less area on the barrel to place that "loaded" barrel weight (i.e. the weight is more concentrated to a shorter area). Since the extra barrel weight is more concentrated in a shorter area, the bat should feel a little more "barrel-heavy" than its 13.5" barrel counterpart.
Warranty
Easton is willing to extend a twelve (12) month manufacturer’s warranty on this high-powered bat! If you purchase it from JustBats and feel as though the bat has a warranty issue within that first year since the purchase, please let our Bat Experts know.
