Description

The Brett Brothers entered the bat business with the goal of ensuring that coaches at all levels of baseball have access to superior quality composite wood bats that are cost effective. Consistency and durability were the primary factors when establishing their bat designs. The Brett Brothers have been involved in baseball their entire lives, through Bobby and John's Minor League careers to the Professional careers of Ken and George. The Brett Brothers know baseball. Even today baseball is an important part of their lives, with each brother being involved in their own way. George, who is still a part of the Kansas City Royals Organization and a hometown hero here in Kansas City, was a career .305 hitter with 3 Batting Titles, a 1985 World Series Ring and an induction to the Hall of Fame in 1999 to round out his 21 year career in Kansas City. Not only did he prove to be a consistent hitter he showed that he had the knowledge to succeed. The Brett Brothers understood that having reliable wood was an important component. This is why they implemented their 3-piece laminating system along with their patented Boa fiberglass reinforcement that is applied to the handle. The Maple Master MM110 is a solid one-piece bat turned from select maple stock. Brett Brothers: The Very Best in Baseball! The Maple Master is BBCOR Certified and legal for play in high school and college. Free Shipping!

Pros: Great bat. I got my first use of this bat last week. So far I'm batting 1.000. Ball comes off the bat very nicely. Even after a few inside pitches the bat held up. It is a very nice light bat, which is good against fast pitchers. I would recommend this bat to anyone

Cons: Have to buy pine tar or something that gives grip to the bat

Pros: This bat is great! Feels solid and durable, you dont have to worry about it breaking. Great job with the looks of the bat. Ball just flys off the bat and for such a cheap price its better than $100+ bats with out a doubt.

Cons: Handle is a little slippery, just put tape on it or pine tar, or just wear batting gloves, its not a big deal just buy this bat!!!

Pros: I bought this bat about a year ago to use mainly for batting practice and for in our teams wood bat tournaments, in both it has preformed very well. With the introduction of the BBCOR bats next year this bat has just as much pop.

Cons: The barrel is smaller than most wood bats but that can be a positive if you're a hitter looking for bat speed rather than long balls. With the glossy finish on the handle I would recomend some pine tar.

Pros: Great bat for durability. Seems like it will never break. My teams have used these forever as cage bats and all they do is shave down. If you are looking for durability, this is the bat. I have one that has lasted over 5 years of consistent batting practice on the field and in a cage.

Pros: This bat is very light. I am a line drive over the infield guy and this bat is perfect for that. I am not the strongest guy but I still hit solid liners to the outfield with this bat. I wouldn't recommend it for a big power hitter because it's too light but for the line drive hitter, I highly recommend it.

whats the bat weight of the 33 inch size bat?
logan
It is going to be approximately 30 oz
John
I play junior college baseball in Nebraska and it is a wood bat league. We play Lamar, Garden City, NJC etc. and I think we have to play with BBCOR wood bats. Is this bat (Brett maple model 110) legal? Or does it have to have the BBCOR stamp?
dan
The MM110 is legal in college. It doesn't have to have the BBCOR stamp.
KB
Is this bat made purely of maple? Becuase it states it has fiberglass on handle which would make it a composite am I correct?
Los
The fiberglass is simply for reinforcement. The material doesn't compromise the maple wood of the bat. This would be considered a maple bat.
KB
I am 5' 8"ish and around 135 lbs. I am just moving up from a 31 -8 bat and was wondering what size I should get.
THope
Based on your height and weight, the suggested size for you would be a 31 inch bat. If you are looking for an adult bat, you would need a 31" 29 oz. bat. If you need any further assistance in trying to select the right size for you, feel free to use our bat coach feature located on our webpage.
Jennifer
I am 5'9 and weigh 135ish. I was wondering what length bat I should get since I visited a couple of websites and they all claim that someone who is 5'9" which is 69 inches should have a 33" bat length.
John do
That is correct. Based off of your height and weight, someone who is 5'9" and weighs around 135 lbs., the suggested length is a 33" bat. You may click on our Bat Coach link to help you find the right size.

Which bat has more pop? Which one is more durable? This bat or the Brett Bros. Maple/bamboo bat?
matt b
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood BBCOR Bat: MM110 Adult With FREE Titanium Bracelet will have an extended solid maple barrel. The Brett Bros. Maple/Bamboo Wood BBCOR Bat: MB110 Adult With FREE Titanium Bracelet will have a bamboo core with maple laminate outer shell for extreme durability. The pop of each bat will be similar. The MB110 should last for a longer period of time.
Brandon
I'm undecided! Which one should I get? The MM110 or the MB110? Thanks!

Performance wise, the Brett Bros. Maple Master MM110 and Maple/Bamboo MB110 bats will be similar. The MB110 has a bamboo core that offers a bit more durability while the MM110 has a solid maple barrel.
Mac

Brandon
Does this bat have more pop than the Marucci BLEM MCMBBCULL or the Louisville Slugger M9 271? Which has the most pop off the bat?
sam
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood BBCOR Bat: MM110 is BBCOR certified and will not out-perform either of those models, based on the testing. You may utilize on more-efficiently because of a differing turn model. The Maple Master is spun into a 110 turn model and features the most-balanced swing feel. The M9 271 is also balanced, but it has a thinner handle than the 110. The turn model you receive in a Marucci BLEM bat is selected at random, so it's hard to comment on the feel. All of these bats are made of hard, maple wood and have similar pop.
Mac
What is the difference between Youth 31" bats and Adult 31" bats?
cobra
Adult wood bats, like the Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood BBCOR Bat: MM110 Adult, feature length to weight ratios of approximately -2 to -3. Most Youth wood bat models have length to weight ratios of about -4 to -8; in most cases. Also, unless the Youth model is a "Senior League" wood bat, it will have a smaller barrel diameter of 2 1/4".
Mac
Would you prefer to use metal or wood for high school baseball if you have hopes for colleges looking at you?
powerwagon
Aluminum and composite bats are usually going to be used 100% of the time, unless the league requires a wood bat. The Brett Bros bats do come in other colors.
Noah
What are the differences and benefits between this bat and the MB110 bat? I'm deciding to buy a Brett Bros. but I don't know which one.
Aaaa
The Brett Bros. Maple/Bamboo Wood BBCOR Baseball Bat: MB110 uses bamboo and maple for better durability. The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood BBCOR Bat: MM110 is only maple. Both are high performing.
Kara

Would this be legal in the MLB?
johnny football
The patented Boa Fiberglass reinforced handle will not allow Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Bat (MM110 Adult With FREE Titanium Bracelet) to be MLB approved.
Brandon
Is this bat approved for Little League?
AWESOME kid
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Bat (MM110 Adult With FREE Titanium Bracelet) is an adult bat. If they are forced to use adult wood bats in Little League this would be legal. It is BBCOR certified for high school and college.
Brandon
Is this bat end-loaded or balanced?
John
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Bat: (MM110) will be balanced.
Merritt
Is this a good bat to take bp with to gain strength for aluminum bats?
Chuck
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Baseball Bat (MM110) features a balanced swing weight so it would be a great option to work on bat speed and bat control with. It does feature a -3 drop weight, which is similar to the drop weight in all BBCOR models, so you if you are looking to get used to a -3 bat, this would be a great option to go with.
Tessa
What does "fiberglass reinforced" mean? I assume it is some type of coating for the handle but would like confirmation. I need to make sure that the bat is legal in tournaments that specify "one piece wood" and does not have composite feature.
Chris
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Baseball Bat (MM110) Adult is a one-piece maple bat that does feature the fiberglass reinforced handle (a coating on the handle that helps add strength to the bat). To be certain, that's really something you would need to verify with a tournament director. And I can foresee that ruling being different depending on the specific tournament. "Composite wood" bats will typically require a BBCOR performance certification mark, which this (MM110) does carry. Because of that, I would likely recommend finding another bat that is fully maple or ash if your tournaments do not allow composite wood bats.
Mac
Does this bat have a light swing weight?
joe
The Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Baseball Bat (MM110) Adult has an extremely balanced design and a very light swing weight.
Jason
How well will this bat be able to withstand yellow cage balls?
Dan
While the Brett Bros. Maple Master Wood Baseball Bat (MM110) is a very durable wood bat, the yellow dimpled cage balls used in some batting cages will react differently with bats which can lead to breakage and durability problems for all type of bats at some time or another.
Patrick

About the Brand

The Brett Brothers “entered the bat business with the goal of ensuring that coaches at all levels of baseball have access to superior quality composite wood bats that are cost effective." The Brett Brothers have been involved in baseball their entire lives. We are four brothers and all of us played professional ball at one time. Bobby and John played in the Minor Leagues, and Ken and George together put in 31 years in the Major Leagues.

Not only did we play baseball because we were good, we truly loved the game. Even today we closely follow the sport. George still works for the Kansas City Royals. Ken has been a broadcaster for 11 years with Fox. Bobby runs our professional franchises here in Spokane, the baseball Indians and the hockey Chiefs. The oldest brother John is a frequent visitor here to see his brothers and watch our teams play.

Like most baseball families, it all started in a small Southern California town call El Segundo. The boys are all about two years apart, and we had some kind of sporting event about every night. I remember most of our family meals were hot dogs, and everything was on the fly. Our parents were always there to cheer for us, and our lives were generally very happy.

Ken was the first to sign a pro contract at age 17. He was the fourth player taken in the annual draft by the Boston Red Sox. When their scout Joe Stephenson came to sign him, our dad said, "the one you really want is the skinny, barefooted one, George." George in 1966 was all of 12 years old.

If you move up the clock to 1971, George was a senior, and Joe Stephenson desperately wanted him to be Boston's #1 pick. The Red Sox said no, and the Kansas City Royals took George in round #2. The rest is history. Ken played 11 years for numerous teams. George turned out to be exactly the player our late father envisioned. He was a 3-time winner of the Batting Title in three different decades. He was very consistent, and always played the game very hard. He was the greatest Royal, and still makes his home in Kansas City. In the summer of 1999, he was awarded Baseball's highest award, election to the Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.

In the spring of 1998, the Tridiamond Bat Company needed a place to "try out" their new baseball bats. Because the Bretts owned the only local professional team, an association was formed. When Tridiamond got both NCAA and Major League approval to sell bats, they needed some baseball help. At this time we bought into the company and changed the name to Brett Bats.
