The Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Adult Baseball Bat: MCMBBCULL! The Marucci Bat Company takes pride in turning top quality wooden baseball bats in the same tradition and precise technique of the earliest bat companies. Every Marucci bat is cut, calibrated, balanced, buffed and lacquered by hand. Marucci uses top grade Maple billets cut from selected, naturally grown trees in Pennsylvania forests. This selection process ensures the highest possible grade of wood for each bat. Due to this state of the art selection process, certain bats do not make the cut. Marucci is now offering BLEM bats that did not meet their standards for any number of reasons during production. Marucci Blem bats can contain any mistake that Marucci made during the production process. This can range from Tiger Striping in the wood, uneven grain, light/heavy billets, and many other minor cosmetic flaws in the wood. The performance of the bat is not compromised, however, due to their status as BLEM bats, no warranty is offered on these models. These bats are recommended for batting practice and cage hitting, but can be used in games with the hitter's understanding of the BLEM qualification and no warranty policy. Marucci bats are 100 percent handmade or turned in small batches from an original design, then finished and detailed by hand. Most impressive is the Bone Rubbing technique that Marucci uses. `Boning` bats began in the earliest days of baseball with players like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. These Hall-of-Famers would spend hours in their dugouts rubbing their bats with old cow femur bones. Bone Rubbing closes the wood`s pores, compressing it and making it harder leading to great pop of the bat. Marucci uses the same technique on their bats, rubbing before the finish is applied to seal and harden the wood. Just another example of how Marucci takes the same pride in their bats as our baseball heroes once did. Experience the excellence of a Marucci Bat. Free Shipping!
add_circle_outlinePros: wow this bat has serious pop they say you get these bats cheaper cause they have blemishes mine had a little knick in the handle...this bat comes with tons of pop we just had a hr derby and with ten outs I hit 9 homeruns with this bat definetely recommend this bat!
remove_circle_outlineCons: The Marucci emblem is just a sticker):
add_circle_outlinePros: I ordered 2 of these bats and, while I'm not sure of the models that I received, took them to the batting cage and boy was I impressed. I don't know the reason why they're blems but they sure perform great.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Not knowing what model bat you receive.
add_circle_outlinePros: Bat had a nice feel, the few swings my 17 yo son had with it felt good, however...
remove_circle_outlineCons: In the very first game my son used the bat, it shattered into five pieces on a pitch that was on the inner half of the plate (not on the handle),it was a good pitch to hit. I'm not sure if the so called blemnish was a defect in the wood or it was cosmetic. I would guess by the way it shattered it was in the wood. My son took maybe five swings in the batting cage prior to his 2 at bats in the game. n
add_circle_outlinePros: super balanced. feels light but solid. i extremely like it i hit wood on a metal bat team and this bat didn't slow me down at all.
there is no blem in the bat. at leased i got 3 and there wasn't one for me
remove_circle_outlineCons: the murucci symbol is a sticker (but who really cares)
add_circle_outlinePros: Was a bit nervous about my purchase initially. But I feel as if these bats were a steal. Have had no durability issues and highly recommend them
remove_circle_outlineCons: The only con unfortunately is that if I wanted to re-order the same bats, I couldn't because I do not know what model number I have as they are unfinished and pulled at random
add_circle_outlinePros: Grandson hitting well with it -- player of week several weeks ago in Valley League -- best college wooden bat league in East -- made All-Star team -- qualified for Home Run Derby -- however, rained out -- over 20 major league scouts there --
remove_circle_outlineCons: break way to easily -- he has been at bat just over 110 times -- broken 10 so far --
add_circle_outlinePros: Lots and lots of pop. Used it for 2 years in a wood bat mens baseball league. Thick barrel and excellent sweet spot. Feels heavy for a 33. Broke it when faced a pitcher throwing 85+. Highly recommend this bat. Got jammed a bunch of times and also hit it on the end of the bat without breaking. Ball always jumped out of the bat.
add_circle_outlinePros: Really great bat. It lasted me a while, literally just broke it, but under the circumstances; any other wood bat would have broken. Lot of pop. My personal favorite amongst wood bats.
remove_circle_outlineCons: No choice on the model with BLEMS.
add_circle_outlinePros: i had this bat for a season. Dear lord did this bat drop bombs. beautiful sweet spot, it felt like i barreled the ball up every time. i would defiantly buy this bat again. mine broke sadly in my last game but it was defiantly worth it.
remove_circle_outlineCons: it will break if you get jammed or hit it off the end, but then again all wood bats will.
add_circle_outlinePros: It is soooooo nicely balanced and it feels great in your hands
The barrel is good size and the ball jumps pretty well of the bat
It looks sick too all whiteband with that finish awwwwww
add_circle_outlinePros: Bat appears to have a lot of POP. My son has used it for about 8 or 9 games. When he makes good contact the ball flies off the bat. Color and Finish are awesome. Looks better than the black one. He says it is very well balanced.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Only CON is one bat came with a knob that was enormous. It looked like it could mounted to a saddle.
add_circle_outlinePros: This review is for both the natural finish and the electric fog cull bats. Both bats look and feel great! They feel a little heavier than the ash bats I've been hitting so this was a play for more durability. They look and feel awesome though. The burnt edge on the cupping looks sweet and seals off the end, nice touch. The Electric fog color looks sweet.. Not much else to say until I take some live cuts with them. Will follow up with another review when I do.. I will say, these bats have a knob profile I haven't used before so we'll see how it feels in the batters box. I have been wanting to swing a bat with this kind of knob profile tho, so we'll see if I really do like it.. Pop and Durability have yet to be determined for me so, I'll give those middling scores for now. I hope to come back and put 5s in for both after some use..
remove_circle_outlineCons: None to speak of, really. The maple feels heavier, maybe it's just that these particular turn models feel a little more end loaded but it almost feels like that might help since the barrel seems to throw itself into the contact zone. I don't get how the mass can be the same so that you get -3 drops for equivalent turn models.. I think the wood bat community has the definition of density confused.. D=M/V.. So if volume is the same (ie same turn model) and mass is the same (-3 weight to length ratio) then by definition density has to be the same..
add_circle_outlinePros: i believe the one i got was a Beltron. it has a thicker handle, and it feels amazing. im 5'7", and i like an endloded bat. but not with this. its a 34 with a huge balanced barrel, and ive been hitting them where i hit them with my besr composite bats. just absolute bombs.
remove_circle_outlineCons: i got super attached to the beautiful off white finish, which is dimpled now. but hey, it wood.
add_circle_outlinePros: This bat is well balanced and has great pop and great feel for the ball. I have hit in the cage twice and had no stingers no blemishes that I can see great bat I would recommend this to anyone
add_circle_outlinePros: Great looking bat, feels good.
remove_circle_outlineCons: Know what you are buying is a "No Warranty" bat. I bought this bat combo for my Grandson and he used it for batting practice prior to his game. His first time up at bat during the game the bat broke! I should have known better?
Not what I thought I was buying
add_circle_outlinePros: Not applicable
remove_circle_outlineCons: I have been told never to buy a painted bat. That is why I bought this one. But when it came it was painted white. I have been told this is done to hide bad wood. I'm no expert. But the picture doesn't look painted.
add_circle_outlinePros: Ive used this bat for about 5 months straight now playing college baseball and I have not had any problem with it. I have been fortunate not to break it. As I used this bat I always noticed that the sweet spot is very responsive and gives great feedback. I feel that the bat is very flashy with its looks and sounds amazingly crisp when you hit the ball on the barrel.
I always got a lot of compliments on the bat while I used it and everyone on my team loves swinging it too. Many of my teammates have used this bat as well throughout the five months I have had it. The bat still has not showed signs of wearing out or losing its pop, even with me and many teammates hitting college Batting practice with it almost every day. Over all this is an amazing bat.
remove_circle_outlineCons: I have no cons about this bat
add_circle_outlinePros: This bat feels awesome in hand and has great pop and last a long time. I have been purchasing this bat pack since 2013 and have been very satisfied with the product. I think out of 4 bat pack I got, 1 bat that a really small barrel and was slightly warped from end to end. Other than that these bats have been absolutely great!
remove_circle_outlineCons: Of course with blem bat packs you don't know what type of bat you will have but just bats is very good in putting similar bats together in a pack.
The BBCULLs are not finished models. There is no way of keeping track of what blem bats we are sent. It could be any model.
Is it possible to order a 3 pack of the black maple blem bats and get one natural finished instead of one of the black bats? Since they're the same price and I figured it would not matter to you?
Just give us a call, and tell the phone rep what you are wanting. If we have it, we can arrange that for you.
Can you customize the bat colors like handle would be green and barrel would be yellow?
Unfortunately we do not have the capabilities to customize colors of the bats. We are a retailer and these bats come to us directly from Marucci.
How long will you be selling these blem bats for?
There are currently no plans to stop selling the blem bats.
Are wood bats legal for high school play for 2011-2012 and/or beyond?
Yes, wood bats are legal for high school play, composite wood bats are going to need the BBCOR stamp on the bat.

I ordered a bat pack of these Maple bats and all three of them broke with in a two week span is there a warranty on the bats or a refund I could redeem?

Is the logo just a sticker?
Yes. The Marucci logo on the barrel of the bat is a decal.
Is the bat a blemished item?
Yes, it is.
Why is the blem cheaper than the regular Marucci bats? Do they break faster?
Blems are bats that did not make it to the final stage of production due to minor belmishes. They're made from the same wood as Marucci's main line of bats and they don't break more frequently. Because they're marked as Blems, we get them at a good price from Marucci which allows us to sell them at a good price to our customers.
Are these bats BBCOR rated? Are they -3 or -2?
Since these are wood bats they do not have to be BBCOR rated in order to be legel. The drop on these bats will vary.
I was wondering if it's possible to a two pack of the marucci maple blemished bats.
At this time we don't offer customized bat packs.
When purchasing the Bat Pack (Blem) models can you select the slightly thicker handle or the thin handle?
Since blems are just that blems, we have no way of knowing what will come in. So they are sold in groups of what we get in.
Will your inventory be restocked w/ 32 in models anytime soon?
The thing with the BBCULL, is we have no control over those. They are blems, and Marucci doesn't try on purpose to make blems. So it strictly depends on if they have batches of blem bats, what we get. No way to know for sure what is coming in on the BBCULL bats.
Do the natural bbculls have a finish or are they raw wood?
These blems will have a raw finish to them.
Would you use this bat in an actual game?

My summer schedule is all wood bat which demands that I have multiple wood bats for tournaments. Would going with blem bats be a better choice and will it have lesser quality then a regular model bat?
Blem bats are still good, quality bats. Especially if you need more than one, they are a great option because they are relatively inexpensive.
What does "MCMBBCULL" stand for?
That is the model number for this product. MC is our 2 letter code for Marucci, M is for Maple, and BBCULL is a bat that was removed from its original production line for any number of reasons and turned into a Marucci Pro Cut.
Why does it say it is recommended for practice and cage hitting? And what are the possible blemishes on these bats?

Unfortunately, because the Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Bats are blemished, we are unable to confirm the handle size or turn model before the order is shipped.
Are the blems ever defects in the wood? Or just minor scratches?
BLEM bats are pulled from manufacturer's production lines for any number of reasons if the bat does not meet the manufacturer's standards. There will not be scratches in the wood.

This can range from Tiger Stripping in the wood, uneven grain, light/heavy billets, and many other minor cosmetic flaws in the wood. The performance of the bat is not compromised.

I purchased a blem bat pack a few months ago. I really like one of the bats and use it always. Is there any way to determine the actual model so I can order more of the one style?
Unfortunately, there is not a way to determine the model you received as the blem bats can be from any turn.
Is a blem legal in high school? Also I am 15, 6', and weigh 150. What's a good bat for me?

I'm 12 and need a legal bat for middle school. I'm looking for metal, what bat should I buy? I'm 4'8" tall.
The Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Bat: MCMBBCULL Natural Adult is a great model, but if you are looking for an Aluminum Alloy material it would not work for you. At 4'8" tall you should be swinging a bat length at 30". Try looking at these two models: The Easton S3: SL11S310 Senior League. The Marucci CAT 5: MSB2 Senior League. They are two of the more popular bats in the specifications of what you need.
Will you have new lengths in this bat soon? Such as 30", 31", or 32"?
Unfortunately the Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Bat: MCMBBCULL Natural Adult have been discontinued so the 34", and the 33.5" will be the only models we will have in stock.
