Pros:  Bat has no visual blemishes what so ever. I have swung Marucci for a couple years now and was excited to see I don't have to spend the $110 a normal Marucci costs. Great pop, and durability. Visually no cosmetic errors. All in all a great bat at a great price!

Cons:  None so far...I will update the reviews if I find any

Pros:  Good pop

Cons:  Lack of durability. I got this bat on a friday. I took about 15 cuts of bp with it in practice that day, and the very next day it broke in two in my first at bat. Very disappointing after spending $70 on this bat.

Pros:  Great...To the people who questioned the durability of the bat, the bat's durability is fine. This is a wooden bat so if you get jammed it will break. So it's not the company's fault if you're getting jammed.

Pros:  Marucci blem bats appear to be a good value because of the lower price.

Cons:  Marruci blem bat that was purchased appears not to be the same grade of wood as the normal Marruci bats. The completely snapped in half at the handle after a solid hit. Inspection of the wood revealed that the wood was brittle and not good quality wood. Received a replacement and will assess how durable this bat is. These bats are the finest made, however I question the quality of these bats.

Pros:  Great looking bat - weight and balance is good

Cons:  Broke after 6 swings. BEWARE as you are purchasing a BLEM and yes we understand this is a wood bat. Have had other wood bats used for BP and after 2 years still using. Thought the Marucci would hold up a little better.

Pros:  I bought 9 marucci bats and in 2 weeks im down to my last one. i have hit 28 bombs so far and really like this last one... shooting for 50. Lets make it last!!

Cons:  They break when you get jammed so I only have one left.

Pros:  I had trouble finding what made them blem bats. 3 players on my team use them including me and only 1 has been broken to this point in an over 18 league where some pitchers throw upwards of 90 mph. I have been jammed a few times and have not broken one yet.

Cons:  You cant choose the model you want but that is something you know ahead of time

Pros:  My 13 year old, and his coach, love this bat (31"). Nice pop and makes a great sound. No blemish on it that I can see, it's perfect.

Cons:  To be expected w/ a wood bat, so not really a con, but you'll need tape and/or pine tar on handle for grip.

Cons:  Can't think of any.

Pros:  Well made. End weighted with nice pop.

Cons:  You don't know what you are getting. It could be a cosmetic blemish, or it could be a major wood flaw like mine. I got a 33.5 inch bat that weighed 33 oz. That is a drop of -0.5. Good practice bat, but not what I envisioned when I ordered it.

Pros:  I was extremely skeptical about purchasing this bat pack, especially because I'm extremely picky about my bats. When I received my bats, I was shocked out how "normal" they seemed. The only blemish I could find was a few patches of paint on the handle that seemed to be rough. Hardly noticeable, especially since I tape my handle. Aside from those small, hardly noticeable blemishes, the bats seems high quality.

Cons:  You cannot pick your models, which for me is a big deal. I have a specific model I like, that I've used for years. The other con is the fact that you never know why type of blemish your bat may have.

Pros:  Pros: Great combination of bats. You get 3 for a great price, $67 a piece with free shipping. The bats are all solid wood bats, very nicely finished paint, and individually shrink wrapped in a nice looking package. Each bat is different and gives you a slightly different measure, taper, and barrel dimension so you can really get a feel of which one is which. Love the choice, it's like going shopping and getting the best of all worlds. Bats are solid, good wood, make a great sound and are solid quality.

Cons:  You don't get to choose the bats you want, nor do you know what type of player the bat was modeled for. You have no way of knowing if it's for a power hitting type or an average hitting type and really is up to you to feel. if you want more of the same bat, you can't reorder necessarily as every bat is unique in some way shape or form.

Pros:  I purchased this bat and recieved it before my game. Decided to use it in the game for the first time without testing the bat in a practice. This bat came out on top, giving me a game winning RBI double. When I hit the ball, it felt like I swung and miss, but I see the ball leaving the bat like a lazer, not a rocket. Holy @#!&, this bat is extremely amazing. I did make a great choice in purchasing this bat on justbats.com. I WILL make future business with justbats.com

Cons:  No Cons about this bat. I RECOMMEND THIS BAT!!!

Pros:  My 13 year old son needed a wood bat to use with a pitching machine as the last 2 composite bats didn't last very long. The Marucci pro cut bats were highly recommended by Just Bats and a number of other retailers. We bought a pack of 3 to ensure we would have a spare. My son loves to use these bats in BP before a game and against pitching machine. Well worth the money. Pros: Very well balanced bat. Very durable against pitching machines. Honestly can't see any blems.

Pros:  Lots of pop and hasn't splintered yet...... My 18 year son son breaks wood bats for a living.... I got tired of dropping $130.00 a bat and went for this bat pack. Six games in and he still has all three. Hitting the ball like a champ.. If anything, he's making better contact with this wood bat than any of the others he's had over the years.

Pros:  The bat has a great feel to it and awesome pop. looks sick too. My first hit I lined out to second base, second hit a triple into the right center gap, third I popped out to center field and my last AB of the game was a solid hit ball to left field and my bat snapped.

Cons:  Broke in four hits, most bizarre break I have ever seen. Would not suggest getting one of Marucci's blimished bats.

Pros:  Can't say enough about this bat. When I first got it in, before I got to hit with it, it felt a little barrel-heavy. After a few trips to the cages, a couple BP sessions and now two games, I'm a believer. Nice feel, lots of pop, sick looking paint job, nice finish. Contact off the sweet spot gets your attention but that's going to be the case with any stick of lumber. Contact at the sweet spot is like butter, just get the bat head out there and let physics take care of the rest. Talent helps alot too. The bat won't hit for you but if you can swing it, this dude will do its job to your liking. Hard not to click 5 stars all the way across..

Cons:  Being a 'blem' or a 'cull', I won't know, when it comes time to reorder, if I'll get the same model as the one(s) in my bag now. I got the 3-bat pack, so I should be in good lumber for a good while but the Gods are fickle, and I shouldn't temp them with hubris..

Pros:  Bat looks and feels great.

Cons:  Grains are spread apart which means the bat is not well compacted. As a result, the wood is weaker than a bat with closer grains. I took about 75 swings in BP with it, and then broke it in my first at bat in a game. I hit it off the end and it just shattered. I was very disappointed. I do not recommend this bat. Save your money or go for the extra buck and buy a better bat.

Pros:  Hit well until it split

Cons:  My son purchased this bat and had 3 AB's before it split, I would have expected much more from a $100 bat. I contacted Marucci and they do not provide any warranty on this bat or offer any credit to a new bat. We will not be purchasing a Marucci bat in the future, especially since they do not stand behind their products or customers.

I was wondering if this was a 2 5/8 inch barrel?

What's the difference between a Marucci Professional Cut and a Marucci Blem?

Professional cut models from Marucci are bats that have passed their specific standards and are able to be labeled as a certain turn or specific model. BLEM models are bats that for whatever reason did not pass Marucci's specificiations, and therefore will not be labeled as a specific turn or model. However, BLEM bats are still sold because performance-wise they are fine, and typically the reason they failed specifications are simple things such as a slightly crooked sticker, small scratch, or other defects.

Kyle J. Expert

What is the barrel and handle size? Can it be used in games or just the cages?

The Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat: MCMBBCULL Black Adult is a blem bat. BLEM bats were pulled from the production line for any number of reasons that did not meet their standards. This also means that these bats are assorted patterns from Marucci's production line and can be from any turn Marucci manufactures. Essentially, there are no guarantees on the handle and barrel diameter. These bats could be used in games but are better suited for practice and training purposes.

Will the bat be balanced or have a heavier head?

The turn model on this Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat (MCMBBCULL Black Adult) cannot be guaranteed. Because of that, an option of this bat could come with a balanced or end-loaded swing weight.

What is the difference between the Pro Model and the AP5 adult wood bat?

The Marucci Albert Pujols Maple Wood Baseball Bat (AP5NB) is a specific model and shape and style of bat while the Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat (MCMBBCULL) can be any model from their pro player line such as the AP5 or CUTCH 22, CU26 and so on. It is a blemished model that does not list which specific style it is.

Why is pro cut cheaper than the other Marucci models?

Marucci Blem bats can contain any mistake that Marucci made during the production process. This can range from Tiger Striping in the wood, uneven grain, light/heavy billets, and many other minor cosmetic flaws in the wood. The performance of the bat is not compromised, however, due to their status as BLEM bats, no warranty is offered on these models

Joe Expert

Is this bat end loaded or balanced?

The Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat (MCMBBCULL Black Adult) can pulled from any turn model that Marucci manufactures, so the swing weight of the bat tends to vary depending on which model you receive. Additionally, the wood models feature an approximate drop 3 length to weight ratio, which makes them ideal for a batting practice or cage bat.

What is the model that is shown on the picture?

The specific model of the Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat (MCMBBCULL) is not listed. That is what sets the cull models apart from the player models. There is no way to choose or determine which model you are getting. It can be like any turn model that Marucci makes.

Will this bat have a BBCOR stamp?

The Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat (MCMBBCULL Black Adult) will not have a BBCOR stamp. I have swung this bat for a while. What other woods would be similar to its swing weight and feel? Also, what other BBCOR bats could be similar to its swing weight and feel?

The Marucci Pro Cut Maple (MCMBBCULL) model is a cull or blem bat that can be to the specifications of any of the bats in the Marucci Professional line. Because we have no way of knowing which style of bat you received, we would have no way of comparing it to other bats. It is essentially luck of the draw.

Is there a specific side of the bat you need to use when you hit the ball? Like logo side toward pitcher?

One thing to keep in mind with wood bats, is that they are much less forgiving than alloy or composite bats and there are many reasons why wood bats break. If contact is made too close to the end of the barrel or close to the handle, the chances of the bat breaking increase. If contact is made on the wrong side of the barrel, the chances of the bat breaking increase. When hitting with wood bats the first thing the player must do is make the label (emblem on the barrel) of the bat face straight up or straight down. The areas to either side of the label on the bat is not only the hardest but also the strongest.

These are recommended to not be used in a game. They are perfect to be used in practice or in the batting cage. These are blemished bats that only have something wrong cosmetically with them. Most leagues will not allow these bats to be used because they say “Blem” on them.

My last two bats have been discontinued. The first was a Brett Bros pro 243 birch (w/bamboo core) and the last was a DeMarini B243 birch. The latter was a little heavier, but I like both bats. I am looking for a replacement that would have a similar feel. Also, does "Pro Cut" indicate a specific cut model?

Unfortunately, this Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat (MCMBBCULL Electric Fog) can be any assorted pattern from Marucci's production line and I would not be able to guarantee a specific cut. We would not be able to guarantee that this Electric Fog bat would be able to feel exactly like your B243 from DeMarini that you used in the past. I might recommend looking to a bat that mentions that it includes a 243 cut in the design of the bat.

Description for Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat: MCMBBCULL Black Adult
The Marucci Bat Company™ takes pride in turning top quality wooden baseball bats in the same tradition and precise technique of the earliest bat companies. Every Marucci Bat™ is cut, calibrated, balanced, buffed and lacquered by hand. The Marucci Bat Company™ uses top grade Maple billets cut from selected, naturally grown trees in Pennsylvania forests. This selection process ensures the highest possible grade of wood for each bat. Due to this state of the art selection process, certain bats do not make the cut. For the first time Marucci is offering BLEM bats that did not meet their standards for any number of reasons during production. Marucci Blem bats can contain any mistake that Marucci made during the production process. This can range from Tiger Striping in the wood, uneven grain, light/heavy billets, and many other minor cosmetic flaws in the wood. The performance of the bat is not compromised, however, due to their status as BLEM bats, no warranty is offered on these models. These bats are recommended for batting practice and cage hitting, but can be used in games with the hitter's understanding of the BLEM qualification and no warranty policy. The Marucci Bat Company™ bats are 100 percent handmade or turned in small batches from an original design, then finished and detailed by hand. Most impressive is the Bone Rubbing technique that The Marucci Bat Company™ uses. `Boning` bats began in the earliest days of baseball with players like Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. These Hall-of-Famers would spend hours in their dugouts rubbing their bats with old cow femur bones. Bone Rubbing closes the wood`s pores, compressing it and making it harder. Marucci uses the same technique on their bats, rubbing before the finish is applied to seal and harden the wood. Just another example of how Marucci takes the same pride in their bats as our baseball heroes once did. Experience the excellence of a Marucci Bat. Free Shipping!

Description for Marucci Pro Cut Maple Wood Baseball Bat: MCMBBCULL Electric Fog
The Marucci Bat Company™ takes pride in turning top quality wooden baseball bats in the same tradition and precise technique of the earliest bat companies. Every Marucci Bat™ is cut, calibrated, balanced, buffed and lacquered by hand. The Marucci Bat Company™ uses top grade Maple billets cut from selected, naturally grown trees in Pennsylvania forests. This selection process ensures the highest possible grade of wood for each bat. Due to this state of the art selection process, certain bats do not make the cut. For the first time Marucci is offering Pro Cut bats that did not meet their standards for any number of reasons during production. Marucci Pro Cut bats can contain any mistake that Marucci made during the production process. This can range from Tiger Striping in the wood, uneven grain, light/heavy billets, and many other minor cosmetic flaws in the wood. The performance of the bat is not compromised, however, due to their status as Pro Cut bats, no warranty is offered on these models. These bats are recommended for batting practice and cage hitting, but can be used in games with the hitter's understanding of the Pro Cut qualification and no warranty policy.
