Description

Youth baseball will never be the same after the release of Anderson K TechZilla XP. With the same great design as the TechZilla this year's model comes with some performance upgrades and an edgy new look that will have everyone wanting one. Anderson has always been an industry leader in innovation and technology and the new KX Series takes that trend to the next level. The new KXTM Series Alloy is one of a kind and required a redesign of the bat shape to optimize Moment of Inertia (MOI). Optimizing the MOI makes it possible to swing the bat faster with less effort. The alloy has a greater yield value and added strength that allows a more responsive and larger Effective Hitting Area (EHA). The Ultra Thin Whip Handle and the SG-1 Sport Grip combine for added comfort with every swing. The Ergonomic Weldless Knob and Taper Flex Vibration System help to reduce sting after contact. The energy transfer efficiency equals better performance and provides the edge every player needs to compete effectively at the highest levels. Faster bat speed plus heavier overall weight equals surefire higher performance, every time. The proven Power Arch Multi-Wall Construction, enhanced manufacturing accuracy, and easily identifiable new graphics deliver advanced performance to provide Game Improvement Technology through superior design. Pros: Bought this bat back in early spring and have been hitting all year with it and its a BEAST! Ive hit 3 off the top of the fence and crushing the ball! Best bat out there! No dents so far and just normal wear. Lasted longer than I thought it would. Cant wait to get the New Senior -10 big barrel for traveling team!

Cons: There are none..its the bomb!

Pros: this bat has amazing pop, everything is great, to some people it may seem heavy but dont be misleaded by the -9, its lighter than it seems!

Cons: nothing, you will hit homerun after homerun if you have a good swing and decent power

Pros: Great pop. Bought for 11 year old. Need a heavier bat at that time. Very surprised at how well he hits it. 4 HR's in first 2 weeks of use.

Cons: Dents fairly easily. 4 star only for that reason.

Pros: Just bought this for an 11U Allstar Summer ball team. Bat has fantastic pop. It seems slightly end weighted compared to the composites. Better than any other 2011 bat I have seen. Certainly, better pop than any of the watered down composites. By the end of the past weekend tournament, evey kid in the line-up wanted to use the Techzilla. This is the best bat of 2011.

Cons: None.

Pros: Probably the best bat you can get for little league. This bat has a lot of pop. I hit six homeruns with it, including two grand slams. There are no regrets when you buy this.

Cons: Dents easier then most bats

Pros: This bat has some serious pop for a little league bat. If u hit it on the sweet spot, the ball will shoot off the bat like a gun. has the same pop or even better than the demarini cf4 which is also an awesome bat. but if ur choosing between a few bats, this is the one. u will never forget it. Its like a composite bat, but it isnt. i hit 10 home runs in 12 games and im only 12.

Cons: Dents easily, paint chips off easily, but andersons are better when theyre dented! but if ur not happy with ur dented one just send bak to anderson and they'll send a new one. no matter what happens to the bat, it does not affect performance. and couple more bad things. the barrel is heavy but ull get used to it fast. also, the sweet spot is very small. but if u hit it right, its the best feeling.

Pros: Bought this bat based on some reviews and was skeptical about it, I thought i ordered the bat to small for my 8 yr old 28/18. it looks so small in his hands. his first game using it he walked once and got a good pitch on his next at bat and hit a lazer up the middle. The ball came off very fast and had a crack sound like a comp bat. He will not let me return it for another size. The 28/18 has some serious pop for such a small bat. with the new 2011 composite bat restrictions this is going to become the most sought after bat in little league.

Cons: none noticed at this time.

Pros: This bat is awesome. The top of the bat is heavy so it allows a fast swing to slow down and connect with the fat part of the bat. When that happens the ball jumps off the bat.

Cons: Need to hit it on the sweet spot everytime.

Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Anderson K TechZilla XP Youth Baseball Bat: KTXP? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

can you get this bat in a 32 inch lenght and 24 oz weight mom
Unfortunately, this bat is not produced in a 32 inch 24 ounce.
Jeff
I hear these bats are notorious for misrepresenting how heavy they are. Also- Why the -9 limit? Would you recommend the -12 anderson or the techzillas? matt
Depends on the batter. Most youth batters, using the 2 1/4" barrel, use a lighter weight. The -9's are used mainly by older, bigger kids that are still in Little League.
lkh

This is a warranty issue and will need to be returned to Anderson. You can contact them at 1-888-777-4487. You will need a copy of your receipt as well.
Kara
is this bat .50 BBCOR certified ? CC
No. BBCOR bats are -3 Adult only. Youth bats will not be BBCOR.
Kris
I bought my son the B1 2 yrs ago and love it, but his league has outlawed it this coming season. How does the Techzilla compare? Coach A
If you want to keep him in a COMBAT, the newest B4 is as close to the B1 as you can get with the new rules. The Techzilla is a one piece all alloy, that is also similar to the B1, in alloy.
Linda
We've been Techzilla fans for years. I bought the last in September for my son. He used in fall-ball. But now is it not legal for 2012 USSSA travel and Cal Ripkin league because of no stamp? Is there anything we can do? dkon
You might be able to contact Anderson and see if they will warranty the bat for you. There number 1-888-777-4487
Ryan
According to the USSSA site, for 2012, your bat just needs to have "BPF 1.15" and not the actual stamp. This bat has that. punchwar
This bat will state on the barrel BPF 1.15. Senior league models will require the "thumbprint" USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp.

About the Brand

A High-Tech Engineer, a Sales Manager for a chemical company, and a Professional Yacht Racer with a background in mechanical engineering are not likely to have much in common. But they did, and still do. You guessed it…SOFTBALL.

Our passion for “Diamond” sports goes back many years, but it was about 10 years ago that we started manufacturing and private labeling our bats for other companies. In 1999, Steven Anderson designed a new multi-wall high-performance bat that featured our patented “Power Arch” technology. After thorough testing, it was ready for the company that we designed it for, but they were going through a transition period and were not ready to move on it.

Here was the bummer, our team was counting on using these bats in a big tournament that was just a month away and we could not put their graphics on the bats until the deal between the two of us was inked.

Steven offered a solution … they are already certified by the governing bodies so why don’t we put our own graphics on them and use them in the tourney. What a great idea and that is exactly what we did.

I was driving to the plant the next morning wearing my championship “T” shirt and had no idea that when I arrived at 6:30 am that the message machine would be filled and the phones would be ringing. The messages and the calls were all basically the same … “How do I get my hands on one of those new Anderson Techwraps”?

That is how it started, and since then we have released the FlexTech, FastTech, RocketTech, TechZilla, Pyrotech, and we are not done.

Let me tell you a little secret……THE BEST IS YET TO COME…GO DEEP, GO VERY VERY DEEP
