Description

New for the season! The 'Glowstick' from Rawlings is back and bright as ever. The Quatro baseball bat made such an impact during its debut season that Rawlings has decided to bring it back for a second go around. They've pushed the standards of baseball bats to new levels and bat technology to never before seen performance levels that outshine the competition (pun intended). Performance, flex, balance, and ball flight are just a few of the features that the Rawlings Quatro is sure to enhance during each and every at-bat. If you're a contact hitter who can handle a longer barrel, the Quatro is a perfect fit for you. While it does have an extended barrel construction for more plate coverage, a newly designed lightweight end cap reduces unnecessary weight towards the end of the barrel which helps increase overall swing speed and control through the zone. Yet again, Rawlings is peeling back the curtains, so to speak, and displaying the alloy barrel insides through the Tru-View Technology. The best part? Each one of these Rawlings Quatro tee ball bats are made with pride in the USA (patent pending). Rawlings: Above The Standard!

This Rawlings Quatro USA Tee Ball Bat (TB8Q11) features a lightweight drop 11 length to weight ratio, a 2 5/8-inch barrel diameter, and the USA Baseball certified stamp. With that certification, this model is approved for play in AABC, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Dixie Youth, Little League, and Pony. Shine bright on the diamond and pick up one of these Rawlings t-ball bats today with free shipping and a full one (1) year manufacturer's warranty. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Rawlings Quatro -11 USA Tee Ball Bat: TB8Q11? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

I have a very small 6 year old that is going into coach pitch. I need a bat no longer than 26 inches. Will this work? Madmom
If your player has to use a bat with the new USABat certification, then there unfortunately will not be any bats at the 26" length specifically meant for use in coach pitch. All USABats at the 26" length will be tee ball bats like this 2018 Rawlings Quatro -11 USA Tee Ball Bat (TB8Q11). If you wanted a bat meant for coach pitch specifically, you will have to look to a bat with 27" length. If you wanted to use this bat for coach pitch, you could certainly do so. However, if the balls being used were harder and were being thrown overhand by the coach, there would be a decent risk of the tee ball bat cracking.
Ben
How much over listed weight is this one? wahoo
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -11 USA Tee Ball Bat: TB8Q11 weighs about half an ounce heavier than the listed weight.
Logan
Can you use this Quatro Tee Ball bat in machine pitch? I've heard it will dent with real baseball out of a machine. Jerry
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -11 USA Tee Ball Bat: TB8Q11 is designed to only hit balls off a tee, so hitting pitched balls at any speed would damage the bat rather quickly.
Logan
Can this bat be used in Cal Ripken 6U t-ball leagues in 2018? john
Yes, it has the USA Baseball certification stamp so it will be legal for Cal Ripken 2018.
Kyle J.
My son is 7 years old and is playing coach pitch baseball. he has a 27 inch, -10, 2 1/4" inch barrel bat that he's using but he's not able to swing it quick enough for consistent contact, should I go with this bat? The coaches under hand pitch to the kids. kevin
You could go with this bat, but you run a higher risk of durability issues. Tee ball bats are designed to hit stationary baseballs, so any velocity behind it (even underhand) can cause durability issues faster than normal.
Kyle J.
Can this bat be used in 5/6 year old single A coach pitch Dixie Youth baseball? Barlow
You probably could use this for coach pitch since is has the USA stamp of approval on it, we would not recommend using it as it is designed to hit stationary balls. Hitting pitched balls will result in a high chance of durability concerns. I would also check with your coach or league commissioner for clarification on the bat rules.
Kyle J.
Why is this bat discontinued? Martin
The 2018 Rawlings Quatro -11 USA Tee Ball Bat: TB8Q11 has become discontinued as Rawlings is now releasing their 2019 models.

About the Brand

Rawlings is a major manufacturer of competitive team sports equipment and apparel for baseball, basketball, and football, as well as licensed MLB, NFL, and NCAA retail products. Rawlings is a major supplier to professional, collegiate, interscholastic, and amateur organizations worldwide, including the Official Baseball Supplier to Major League Baseball.

The first real innovation in glove making occurred in 1912 when Rawlings Sporting Goods Company introduced the "Sure Catch" glove, which was "endorsed by leading players all over the country." The Sure Catch was a one-piece glove with sewn-in finger channels and looked better suited for a duck's foot than a man's hand. Catchers' mitts used at the time were large and bulky with a single leather thong passing for a web.

In 1920, Bill Doak, a journeyman pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals, approached Rawlings with an idea for improving the baseball glove from a mere protective device to a genuine aid in fielding. The "Bill Doak" model was so revolutionary that it stayed in Rawlings' line until 1953. Its key feature was a multi-thong web laced into the first finger and thumb, which created for the first time in baseball's young life, a natural pocket.

In 1925, Rawlings unveiled a three-fingered fielder's glove, and ten years later improved the Bill Doak model with a two-piece leather web. At the same time, the "T" web became a rage for first basemen's mitts. The pocket underwent a pronounced change in 1941 when the Trapper Mitt, also known as the Claw, appeared. The "Deep Well" pocket was so unique that Rawlings quickly patented it. The design was improved in 1950 by adding a leather piece across the top. Another significant creation occurred in 1948 with the three-fingered Playmaker. A five-fingered fielder's model, with all fingers laced together, provided greater pocket control.

The six-fingered Trap-Eze evolved in the 1960's. In more recent years, Rawlings produced the Fastback design, which gives a glove a snugger fit, greater extension, and overall control. The Holdster is a slot through which a finger can be extended for additional protection from impacts on the pocket. Then, there is the Edge-U-Cated Heel with its extended U-shaped lacing and the Pro H Web and much-copied Basket Web.

Some of Rawlings's more recent glove innovations also include the unique Spin-Stopper design which reduces ball spin when the ball hits the glove, and the Cantilever glove design feature that provides a cushioned area between the hand and the glove's palm area. In all, Rawlings has produced and patented more functionally innovative glove features and designs than that of any other glove manufacturer. The result is that the modern baseball glove is much larger, more comfortable, better padded, and made to last far longer than its ancestors. It is not uncommon to see today's Major League players wearing the same Rawlings glove they wore during their college playing days. In fact, Rawlings is the #1 glove in the major leagues. Rawlings maintains about 65 models of baseball and softball mitts and gloves in its line. The prototypes of virtually all of them have been field-tested by professionals before entering a sporting goods dealer's inventory.
