Louisville Slugger TPX Warrior: YB12W Youth |
Average Customer Review
Great balance, lots of pop, very little sting even off the sweet spot. My son is 8, 4ft2 and 55lbs and has no problem puting balls in the outfield off this bat. His team now has 3 of these (2 28" and 1 29") and his has seen a lot of use. I'm giving it a 5 out of 5 because at this price point it is by far the best bat we've used. There are 4 reflex bats on our team that don't see any use now.
Has an odd sound that will make you think it's dead. All 3 sound dead but still hit great.

My son is 6 1/2, 3'11" and around 45 lbs. playing Coach Pitch. What size barrel would you recommend for him?
Most Coach Pitch bats are generally 2 5/8" or 2 3/4" at length. If there isn't any league rules permitting a 2 3/4" barrel, then I would go with that. A bigger barrel will only give your son more room to hit and add confidence to his game.
My son is 5 feet tall and weighs 90 lbs. He is swinging a TPX Warrior 29/17 to help him get through the zone quicker. I see smaller players using larger bats. He likes this bat, is this appropriate size for him? Thoughts?
Based on his height and weight, a 30" 17 oz. model of the Louisville Slugger TPX Warrior: YB12W would be the most suitable option.
Do you have to break this bat in?
No, the Louisville Slugger TPX Warrior: YB12W Youth is a one-piece alloy design and therefore doesn't require a break-in period.

After a short while, the Hillerichs moved to Louisville, where J. Fred started a woodworking shop in 1856. Two of his sons, Adam and John Andrew "Bud" were bo.... read more
