The Reflex is made from a higher grade of alloy that will be stronger and better performing. Both are great bats under $100, but the Reflex will probably be a notch above the Typhoon in terms of performance.

Are we counting the bats retailing at $199.99 since they are technically under $200? If we are, I would definitely put bats like the Rawlings 5150, Easton Rival, Marucci Cat 5, Nike Aero M1, and Louisville TPX Omaha over the Easton Reflex. However, if we"re not counting those bats at $199.99, the Reflex is a great option. It is one of the better performing and durable bats under $199.99. Some people will argue that other bats like the Rawlings Plasma and Mattingly V-Force are better, but that is strictly because a lot of hitting comes down to personal preference. There is not true number one bat out there.

The same way there were different levels of the BESR, there are different levels of the BBCOR. Though they all meet the BBCOR standards, some push the limits and go right to the edge of what's allowed.

The Reflex is a one piece all alloy bat with great pop. The DeMarini's are usually 2 piece bats, some are alloy barrel and composite handles, some are 2 piece all composite. Each offers something different.

The more expensive bats will be closer to the BBCOR standards. The cheaper bats will be further from the BBCOR standards and they will not have as much pop.

Actually, I do the purchase orders for the high schools, and we sell TONS of these to high schools. They are a 1 piece all alloy design, nice pop, great balance. We have a bat pack in these where you can get 3 of them for $149.99! These bats are not the $300 bats, but perform quite well for the price. Also, perfect for fundraisers.
