Pros: Picked one up en route to the game. Its light weight translates to a fast swing. My 7 year old loves it; he calls it his secret weapon.

Pros: Just as the description of this bat said, My 7yr old loved it!, He is so proud of it and feels cofident at the plate. It's a sharp looking bat, it is lightweight enough to make it easy to handle and my son gets a good grip on it. Very pleased with the product as well as the fast and efficient process of my order, the shipping time was on track and it arrived on the day I was told.

Pros: My son loves it! He is 7 years old and this is his first year of machine-pitch baseball. We bought him a bat that was 29" long, 15.5 oz. It was too much bat for him and too much $$! (Even though it was the right length according to their 'chart'.) He was frustrated, so I found this bat and we bought the 27", 14oz. HE LOVES IT! His swing is back and he's nailing those balls. We will buy again!

Pros: Pop, large sweet spot, the moneys not even an issue, I went into a baseball store willing to spend $300 dollars and a kid talked me into this bat. Have never trusted easton until now, my 6 year old son hit a ball 225 feet with this bat. Weve played tournaments and went to camps this summer and this bat has had the most balls jump off of it.

Pros: We haven't had the bat long, but my son is hitting some good shots with this bat. When he makes good contact, the ball is crushed. He just turned 7 and we are about to enter coach pitch. He is an athletic boy, but small. He weighs 50 lbs and is about 44" tall. We got the 27"x13.5oz. It seems to be a good fit. He is also making much better contact and doesn't tire as quickly during BP.

Cons: None. The bat does what it is supposed to.

Pros:

Cons: My son was swinging early due to the light weight of this bat. When we were not getting the results I thought he should be getting, we tried a Easton V12 bat that several of the other kids were using and he started hitting the ball very solid and with more distance. I also think because the V12 is heavier and has a bigger barrel that my son was swinging on time rather than early. The Easton V12 will be my next purchase.

Pros: I am 8 years old and I play in the pinto league. My dad bought me this bat three weeks ago and I hit 4 home runs with it. It has a very big sweet spot so it is easier to hit the ball with. I have a 28 inch 15 ounce bat that gives me good bat speed because it is very light. Since the bat is so light I can practice improving my batting form. I would recommend this bat to anybody in the world! In fact, lots of people have this bat on my team.

Cons: None so far.

How does this batter differ from the Rampage LX66 2010, other than the Reflex LX71 being 0.5 oz lighter? Both are made with 7050 alloy, so why is one (at regular price) more expensive than the other? zoo
There's really not much of a differnce besides the drop. Both the Reflex LX71 and last year's LX66 are constructed for the same alloy and have similar feel and balance. The LX66 is no longer in stock, but I'm showing both at the same price.
CW
Does this bat comply to 2012 Dixie Youth Baseball requirements? Diamond
Yes. This bat will be legal in Dixie for 2012 according to their latest rules.

my grandson is 4foot tall and weighs 50lbs. he's in good physical shape. he's joined a coach pitch hardball league. would i be correct in thinking either a 28 or 27 inch bat 14-16 oz. with a 2 1/4 inch barrel? thank you very much. dan
You are correct about the size, but I would check with the coach to see if you can use a bigger barrel. Most Coach Pitch leagues will allow bigger barrel bats. If that is the case check out our "Coach Pitch" option under Baseball Bats on our homepage.
KG
Is 2012 usssa approved? Does it have the stamp of approval for usssa youth baseball? Jdingez

I am wondering what weight, length to purchase for my just-turned-eight year old grandson, who is a strong, athletic child. Not sure of his weight, but he is probably very much the norm for his age group. Thanks. Carole
We recommend a 28 inch, 28 oz bat based on his age.
KB
Is the BPF 1.15 and the names of the approved organizations stamped directly on the bat? Buddah
If the bat is approved by USSSA it will have the USSSA "Thumbprint" stamp located on the bat. Any other organizations it is approved by will be labeled on the bat as well.
Robb
My son is 10 years old and 4ft 8 about 100lbs ,what would be the correct bat size? Colt
I would recommend a 30 inch bat with a weight between 16 and 18 ounces.
Tyler
The most popular length for 10 year old boys is 28"-29". However for your son's height and weight a 30" bat may work well based on his strength level. the -10 bats (legth/weight ratio) are most common for this age.
Tyler M
Is this bat bbcor? sluggers mom
This bat is not BBCOR certified. Only adult -3 bats will have BBCOR certification. If you are looking for this model but with BBCOR certification you can find that here: http://www.batwarehouse.com/product/easton-reflex-bbcor--bx74-adult/13063/.
Jennifer
No. Only adult bats are BBCOR certified.
Tyler
Does this bat have the USSSA stamp? hhh12moore
This bat features the old stamp, which is being grandfathered in for the 2012 season. However, starting in 2013 all bats will be required to have the new stamp.
Jennifer
League says bat must be stamped BPF 1.15. Are the BPF 1.15 stamp and the USSSA stamp the same thing, or is the USSSA something different? Ty
The old stamp just said "USSSA BPF 1.15", however there is a new stamp that states that but looks different. The old stamp is just the words, while the new stamp is sometimes referred to as a "thumb print" because of the way it looks. This particular bat has the old stamp, which will be grandfathered in for the 2012 season.
Jennifer
Is this a composite bat? Is it for 13 & 14 year old league? Big Bat
This is not a composite bat. It is a one piece alloy bat. If your league allows 2 1/4 in barrels, then this bat would be legal for use in 2012. Since the rules vary for every league, I would suggest checking with your league official to make sure it is legal for your league.
Jennifer
Is this bat BBCOR certified? Dad
This bat is not BBCOR certified. Only adult -3 bats will have this certifications. All of the Reflex bats that we do have that are BBCOR certified can be found here: http://www.justbats.com/products/baseball%20bats~adult/?s=reflex
Jennifer
can this bat be used for coaches pitch? jensen
Yes. This bat is made to withstand usage in kid pitch and will definitely hold up in coach pitch.
Tyler
Is it approved for little league use or is it composite? Shawn
The LX71 is an alloy bat that is approved for Little League.
Tyler
Does this bat have the USSSA certification stamp of approval? JD
The Easton Reflex has the USSSA 1.15 BPF certification on the barrel and will be legal in 2012 and 2013.
Kara
What is the difference between the LX71 and the LX73? CE
The LX71 is a 2011 model, the LX73 is a 2012 model. Besides the paint job, both are similar.
Tyler
Is the LX71 still approved for Little League use in 2014? Steve G
It may depend on your particular region, but the Easton Reflex: LX71 Youth bat should still be approved for play in Little League Baseball for the 2014 season. Little League has not indicated that their 2 1/4" barrel bats must feature the newest USSSA BPF 1.15 stamp. This bat does still feature "BPF 1.15" written on the barrel and a 2 1/4" barrel diameter. Concerning questions about a bat's legality, it is always best to contact a league official.
