Description

The BNC12XL features the USSSA 1.15 stamp and is legal for use in Replacing its predecessor the Stealth, Easton introduces a brand new two-piece bat called the Omen that will surely make its presence felt in all levels of baseball this season. Made from Easton's patented IMX Composite, this bat will allow players to hit farther than they ever thought possible! The IMX or Integrated Matrix Technology strengthens and optimizes the composite structure, giving you a bat with extraordinary performance and extreme durability. This durability is even further enhanced by Easton's CNT or Carbon NanoTube Technology. The CNT enhances the proprietary resin system in their composite bats, creating the longest lasting bats in the industry. The Omen also features Easton's patented ConneXion Design System which optimizes performance using "hinge" technology for efficient energy transfer and flex. The ConneXion design seperates the barrel from the handle which creates an expanded hitting surface and completely eliminates any chance of sting or vibration. And with a lower M.O.I., the player will notice a lighter swing weight and faster swing speed. Combine all of this with Easton's XXL Barrel that creates a MASSIVE sweetspot, and you've got a bat that is built for performance. Put this new Easton bat in your hands and receive your Omen for a successful season! Easton: Know-Feel-Be The Difference. This bat comes backed by Easton's Exclusive 400 Day Manufacturer's Warranty. Questions and Answers

Have a question about the Easton Omen Senior League Baseball Bat: BNC12XL? Ask our team of experts and they will respond within 24 hours.

is this bat legal with the new rules something about bbcor paul
This bat is not legal under BBCOR rules. All BBCOR bats will be a -3 and have to have the BBCOR stamp on the bat.
Brett
can you use this bat for little league junior league? roofie
As of 4/1/2011, the BNC12XL has not been approved for Little League.
Sean
Is this bat legal for babe ruth 13-15 yeal old division? mm
As long as the allow 2 5/8 inch barrel bats and composite barrel bats, this bat will be legal. I would make sure to ask your coach before playing with the bat.
Brett
DOES IT COME WITH THE USSSA STAMP? OMAR
Yes, this bat would have the USSSA and BPF 1.15 stamp on the bat.
John
I am deciding between the Easton Omen, Demarini CF4, and Demarini CF5, for my 12 yr old son. He can handle a 32in -5, but may look at the 32in -8. Any suggestions or recommendations between the 3? Nick
If he does well with the -5, and still has good bat speed. I'd keep him in the -5, it's better in the long run, if he plans on playing in high school to get used to the heavier bats earlier.
lkh
When is just bats getting the -5 2012 Easton XL1 james
I checked with our Easton Rep and they are due to arrive here approximately November 16th.
Linda
is there any videos of people hitting with this bat? bob
We have a video for the youth model. I am forwarding the request for this bat to our media team.
Linda
I purchased my son an Easton Omen in July 32/27 and it does not have the USSSA 1.15 stamp on the handle. I see that the bats now have the 1.15 stamp. My son loves his bat and 4 other boys on his travel team are using it in games. Are the new bats with the 1.15 stamp the same as his older bat? Can I get his bat stamped with the new mark for use this spring? Jack
There is no stamp on the handle as shown in the pic on our site? If not, does it say anywhere on the bat USSSA approved? Easton made some of these bats then the ruling came down that they had to have the stamp. But we were told that as long as it has the USSSA approved anywhere on the bat it would be grandfathered in.
Linda
does this bats have a compsite barrel? Darrell
Yes, this is a 2 piece composite handle/ composite barrel bat.
Linda
What is the difference between the easton omen and easton s1 or xl1. A.J

John
My son plays 13u travel ball and is more of a contact hitter than power. What bat would you recommend in regards to stiffness, the Omen or Exogrid II. gatorman
I would suggest the Omen as it is a two piece bat and will be more of a contact hitters bat due to the flex. This bat will have very good pop and a nice size sweet spot.
KG
Can this bat be used in tournaments 60/90 for 2012. Mudcat Fan
It depends on what leagueit is for, this bat is USSSA approved
Sean
Are you allowed to have a -5 in highschool baseball? Rookie

Sean
My son is 13 and has been using -10. He's trying out for middle school and don't know if I should get him -5 Omen or try the -3 Rip IT Prototype II. Any suggestions? Is Omen approved for Middle school? A5 Heels
I would suggest getting a -5 bat as jumping to a -3 is a big jump to take. A -5 will get him ready for high school ball as he will have to use a -3 then.
KG
can you use this bat january 1 for usssa for 13u? Tman3
Yes. This bat does have the stamp and will be approved.

K.B.
Which is the better value omen or xl1? Didn't the xl1 take the place if the omen? Is it worth the extra $100 Miller
Yes, it did take the place of the Omen. With the new scientific technology, Easton really hit it out of the park with their S Series and their XL series.
Linda

KB
We purchased one of these bats and it appears that the new USSSA stamp was applied after production of the bat. Was this done by Easton with approval of USSSA? Are you certain that this bat will be allowed for USSSA play in 2012? joe
Easton puts all the stamps on the bats. If the Omen you have has the USSSA stamp then it will be legal in USSSA for 2012.
Kara
Does this bat contain the BPF 1.15 stamp? Ditt
This bat is going to have the USSSA & BPF 1.15 stamp.
John
What is the difference between the XL1 and XL3 Eddie
The XL1 is going to be the replacement for the Omen. It will be a two piece design with composite barrel and handle. The XL3 is the replacement for the Rival, it will be a one piece all alloy.
John
Can you please compare the minus 5 Easton Omen to the DeMarini Voodo - both are priced at $299 - which is a better bat for a 14 year old good player, thanks. Tratts
The Easton Omen is going to be a two piece composite bat. It will have a composite barrel and composite handle. The DeMarini Voodoo is going to be a hybrid design featuring an alloy barrel and composite handle. It will come down to player preference of composite barrel or alloy barel.
John
is this bat bbcor certified tricounty
This bat is not certified under BBCOR rules. All BBCOR bats will be a -3 and are required to have the BBCOR stamp on the bat.
Jennifer
My son is 13 and is playing jr baseball in Washington state. coach said to get -5 bat(32-27), 2 5/8" barrel. My son likes the Easton Omen. I can only find -5 bats for senior league. Will this bat work for jr. league? wtd

Either one of these bats will be good options. This will be more on what feels best to her. This bat will be heavy and the -8 may be the best choice.
KG
Is it as good as the cf5?Is it one of the best bats on the markit? MR.clutch
The CF5 and Easton Omen are both top of the line for each of its respective manufactures. You really can't go wrong with either bat.
Kara
The bat says senior league. Is this also a youth bat? Mike
Once the barrel diameter reaches 2 5/8, it is classified as a senior league bat. This is still a youth bat because of the weight ratio. Here is the link to view more details about specific features of this bat. http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen--bnc12xl-senior-league/12688/
Derek
How do you break this bat in? LM
The break in can be done by hitting 100-200 hits off a tee or doing some soft toss. Make sure to rotate the handle a quarter inch between hits to evenly break in the bat.
Kris
Does this bat meet the Junior little league bat standards? dutch
This bat will not meet Junior Little League standards because this bat has a composite barrel. All composite barrel bats in Junior Leagues will have to be BBCOR certified.
Kris
Is it BBCOR certified? overthefence
This bat is not BBCOR certified. Only adult -3 bats will have BBCOR certification. The Easton Omen that is BBCOR certified can be found here: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/
Jennifer
Hi I play travel ball. I am 12 years old and have a Combat B3 -8. It is too light. I play up one year so i play 13u major would you reccomend this bat or the 2012 XL1 - 5? Or maybe even the louisville slugger Vortex? Thank you Baseball Man
The XL1 is really the same as the Omen, except the XL1 will have more of an endloaded feel. I think either would be a good fit for you.
Tyler
When my son uses the Omen with a pitching machine, should he hit real baseballs or yellow dimpled balls? winston
He should hit with real baseballs. Yellow dimpled balls can damage the composite materials.
Kara
Is it a BBCOR bat? cash
No, the Easton Omen (BNC12XL) is not approved by BBCOR certifications. If you are wanting a BBCOR certified Omen then take a look at the BNC2 model.
John

Jennifer

Easton has stopped manufacturing the Easton Omen: BNC12XL Senior League so we will not be getting any more in.
Zach
How can you most effectevly break it in? bbeaston13
We recommend taking between 150 to 200 hits either off of a tee or soft toss, starting at about 40% power and increasing the closer you get to the 200 hit mark. Also, make sure you rotate the barrel in between each hit and use the same balls you would normally use in a game.
Jennifer
Is this bat BBCOR? Baseballmannai
This Easton Omen is not BBCOR approved. Only adult -3 bats will be BBCOR certified. If you are looking for the Omen model that is BBCOR approved, you can find that here: http://www.justbats.com/product/easton-omen-bbcor--bnc2-adult/13053/.
Jennifer
Is the -5 the same exact bat and has the same amount of pop as -3? Hdawg444
No. The -5 Easton Omen has the BPF 1.15 stamp for USSSA, whereas the -3 Easton Omen is the BBCOR certified model. The -3 will have less pop than the -5 because of the BBCOR certification.
Damon
Will you ever have this bat in a 32" again? Chase
The Easton Omen is a discontinued model so we will not be getting any more in. The Easton S1 and XL1 replaced the Omen.
Nick K.
What bat is comparable to the Easton Omen that would be legal to use in USSSA travel ball with the appropriate thumb print stamp? beth
The closest bat currently to the Easton Omen (BNC12XL) that you asked about would be the 2014 Easton XL1 (SL14X15). It has the closest overall design and barrel style.
